Maiyu sat on Kaede's roof, eating rice balls, staring up at the sky happily. Her cat ears twitched and her tail swayed happily. She closed her eyes for a moment, enjoying the food, "So good~!" She exclaimed with pure joy before taking a big bite into another. She was easily pleased, but this was one of the first times she'd smiled since Lady Kaede salvaged her from the forest. She kept eating until she noticed something strange in the sky. There were several beams of light, far more than she could count. She stood up, "P-pretty..." Then it finally clicked in her head. Her ears perked up, almost alarmingly high. S-shikon jewels! I think I saw where one landed! She jumped from the roof excitedly, "Be back soon, Grandma Kaede!" She grinned, running off at full speed.

"M-Maiyu! Get back here! You're too young to run off on your own! You can't fight the demons in those woods!" The old woman shouted. She wasn't the same Kaede as Inuyasha and Kagome once knew, but actually Kagome's daughter. She named her after Kaede, and she took over Keade's hut after her mother and the old woman died.

"HELP ME!"

Maiyu paid her no mind and was jumping tree to tree in a matter of seconds. However as she heard shouting she came to a halt, placing her fingers over her mouth to silence herself. She noticed another demon below, but she could tell that the girl was a Hanyo, not another Yokai like herself. She was shaking what appeared to be a human boy, but Maiyu refused to reveal herself. She wasn't good at fighting demons... She was better at running away. Though she thought a Jewel dropped somewhere nearby.

"Shut up, don't alert the whole forest, you idiot!"

She could hear other people talking nearby too, her ears twitching a bit. Her eyes flickered over to two men, soldiers from the looks of it.. and also both appeared to be Hanyou. This was a bad situation, and she had other business. She assumed they were all looking for the same thing... she had to act quickly if she wanted the nearby shard...

Maiyu quietly jumped to the next tree, doing her best to not be too loud. She didn't want to alert any of their ears. Somehow she didn't even notice Minami below her.. but she kept moving closer to where she saw the Jewel drop, attempting to leave the scene and pursue it. She slowly started to shimmy down the tree, but fell rather harshly into a bush, emitting a loud feminine scream as she did. If they weren't aware of her presence before, they were now.

"Okay, stop right there, missy! Just relax and put that boy down, miss. We don't want any trouble."

O-Ow... They're going to find me now.. She rubbed the back of her head as she sat up in the bush. Small multiple cuts adorned her entire body, seeing as it was a rose bush, but she didn't cry. She wasn't a baby! She was a lot older than she looked! Then she heard one of the two men address the female Hanyo. Are they the good guys? Or just friends of the boy..? Maiyu thought to herself curiously, leaves adorning her hair after the fall. Since she didn't have her usual hairbows, it -almost- looked suiting to her white Kimono, as if she meant the leaves for decoration.. just not quite.

Fremea plucked the leaf off the stem and put it into her basket. She glanced at the basket and saw it was mostly full.
"Hmm..good enough for today..." she thought to herself. It'd been a while since her master had given her a day off. The last time she managed to replenish her supply of herbs and poisonous plants had been months ago. She'd been mildly surprised when she returned from her last assignment and was informed that her orders were too "rest."

It had taken her far less time to collect the herbs than she had expected, so the day was still young. The forest was more peaceful than the one she had trained in, and it was shadier too. It was an opportunity Fremea couldn't pass up, especially when she was able to wear a yukata instead of her armor. While she was very proud of her armor , it was hot and the mask made it stuffy to breathe in. She put the basket down and laid down against a tree. It would be a nice place to take a nap.

Just when she was about to drift off she saw a purple light flew overhead. Her master had tasked her to always keep a look out of these- a Shikon Shard. However, Fremea thought this was strange; last she heard it had been destroyed or something. Then she heard someone yell out.

" HELP ME!"

Fremea briefly considered using her wings, but decided against it - she didn't have her armor nor mask, so someone might recognize her. Taking only her dagger, she quickly ran towards the commotion. What she founded disappointed her greatly.
It was Gen. The laid back leader of one of her master's division. Only at her master's order did she tolerate him. There were also several other people gathering. It seemed to her that Gen was being nosy again and had butted into a fight between a strangely dressed human and a half wolf demon. Also, based off one of the birds perched ina tree, there was also a small child trying to hide. "What strange bed fellows." she thought.

" Gen..fancy meeting you here this far from ma--our mutual friend. Are you interfering in other affairs again?"

"Gen..fancy meeting you here this far from ma--our mutual friend. Are you interfering in other affairs again?"

An unknown made itself known to the duo as they turned their heads. Fremea, a fellow 'underling' to (Angelwolf's character), stands before them in an elegant kimono. A rare sight even for Gen, he was once again remembered how Japan was so boring before the Shikon Crystal decided to split up. Now that things are going for a turn, he can't wait to see even more interesting events that will unfold.

What kind of monster will come out of hiding to search for the hundreds of Shikon Shards spread throughout the land? What unknown clan will show itself, now having its wish of obtaining even greater heights of power what with the legendary Shikon Crystal reappearing again, repeating the past? Or perhaps maybe even the great Sesshoumaru will make his move in an attempt to gather these shards? Gen shuddered at the mere thought of it. If his last claim were to come true, then there's no time. He has to gather the Shikon Shards, if not to make himself stronger and challenging Sesshoumaru. Maybe then, as he gained a better standing against the great Sesshoumaru, will he be able to engage in what may be the most exciting battle in his life.

However, he shrugged all that off and focused on reality. Jinza had already returned his attention back to the wolf girl. He seemed to have also sensed the two other presences hiding nearby. Though Gen wouldn't worry about it. If a battle breaks out, Gen and Jinza would retreat and return back to the encampment. Should things turn for the better however, that's another story.

"How rude, Frem-san. You know I don't interfere with other affairs? I only merely... join the fray so to speak. Perhaps you were trying to shake the blame off to me because you too feel the same, no?" He raised an eyebrow, his fists gripping on Hiragumo tightly. Clearly, he was trying to provoke her and by doing so, maybe he can get Freamea to attack him, albeit the chances are quite small. But there was a reason why he did that. His heart slowly pumps faster as he continues.

"Could it be that even you, the almighty (Angelwolf's character)'s boots-licking half demon and self-proclaimed loyal to (Angelwolf's character) only, would want to gain powers bestowed by the Shikon Crystal?" It's getting obvious, but his breathing was getting stronger and heavier. He was constantly waiting for what would happen next if he's successful.

"I don't blame you. Even I want that kind of power to myself. But if it comes down to it, I'll fi-" Jinza saw the state Gen was it and immediately stopped him giving Gen a good, hard slap right to the face. "Gen-sama, I don't care if you want to succumb to your fetish but we have to solve the problem in front of us first." He turned to the wolf girl. Then he surveyed the surroundings to make sure the two other presence did not flee. Confirming, he spoke up.

"Please do not mind them. As my lord said, we came in order to investigate the source of the separation of the Shikon Crystal. We don't mean any harm but should you prove a threat to us..." He lifted his katana to his chest. "I shall not fail to eliminate you all. Including the two hiding behind the trees. I would suggest that you show yourselves and perhaps announce your existence rather than staying hidden." Jinza spoke in a cold and sharp tone of voice. He needed to make his stance and let them know that he will strike without hesitation. This is pretty much what Jinza always do in case Gen goes off topic just like before. But unknowingly, he bowed after that.

"I believe it is appropriate to introduce ourselves first, if not to reduce the tension around us. My name is Jinza, and this man here is my lord, Gen Yoshimoto." Jinza introduced Gen and himself. Then, Gen turned and gave a greeting in response to his introduction.

Aduhi heard the child fall, but she ignored it due to the two men who approached. The young Yokai would be little trouble compared to her two fellow Hanyo. Her crimson eyes narrowed and nose twitched as she made her assessment of the two. She snarled a bit, especially as the friendly one addressed her. A frown formed on her features and she turned to face the two of them, dragging the poor human boy with her during her transition.

"Okay, stop right there, missy! Just relax and put that boy down, miss. We don't want any trouble."

"Why should I? He's the one who caused this mess!" She snapped at Gen, one hand on her hip as she tossed the boy to the ground, finally releasing him from her clutches. She crossed her arms as she approached, eyeing him carefully, "Just who do you think you are anyway?" She asked with more than her fair share of attitude. She made sure to keep her wits about her and to not lose track of everyone in the area. Child in the bush, girl behind the trees, someone approaching, fast to be exact.. and then there are these two in front of me..

She growled as Jinza's hand reach for his Katana, fingers on the leash connected to her collar, ready to unfasten it as well. She wasn't particularly looking for a fight, but she wasn't cowardice enough to shy away either. Then the more optimistic male signaled for him to stop. The more serious man did as he was told and it caused Aduhi to let out an annoyed 'hmph'.

"Just relax and put that boy down, miss. We don't want any trouble."

"Relax? Does anyone realize what could happen if the wrong demons got ahold of the shards this idiot shattered?" She looked to the two men with little patience. Blaming her actions on the boy. Her expression still angry as ever. Perhaps even more so now that the two decided to butt into her affairs.

The child seemed to make further noise, silently fussing over it's fall. She shook her head, letting out a quiet chuckle at the kid's clumsiness. Can't even sneak around right.. annoying cat.. Just the small feline's scent was making her angry. She always hated cat demons. They always felt they were so much better than everyone else.. then licked themselves? Not to mention the hairballs. Disgusting. Finally the last approached, she appeared to be another Hanyo, which made Aduhi wonder if this was becoming the half-demon convention or something. Was there some sort of meeting she'd forgotten about? Unlikely. She didn't know any of them, so she doubted that guess.

"Gen..fancy meeting you here this far from ma--our mutual friend. Are you interfering in other affairs again?"

Well at least someone understands where I'm coming from.. She thought to herself and smirked in the purple haired male's direction. Apparently feeling smug that his associate seemed to see things her way.

"How rude, Frem-san. You know I don't interfere with other affairs? I only merely... join the fray so to speak. Perhaps you were trying to shake the blame off to me because you too feel the same, no? Could it be that even you, the almighty (Angelwolf's character)'s boots-licking half demon and self-proclaimed loyal to (Angelwolf's character) only, would want to gain powers bestowed by the Shikon Crystal? I don't blame you. Even I want that kind of power to myself. But if it comes down to it, I'll fi-"

Her eyes widened as the serious man slapped his superior. She looked to him, grabbing the human's shirt loosely to assure he wouldn't flee the scene during their conversation. She then waited for the other man to explain his actions. Regardless of Gen's laid-back and over-the-top attitude, she doubted that it would go unnoticed.

"Gen-sama, I don't care if you want to succumb to your fetish but we have to solve the problem in front of us first."

Her eyebrow quirked and she cleared her throat, glaring at the two, "If you're going to discuss your private lives, please do so elsewhere. Some of us don't participate in the strange world of fetishes.. and there is a CHILD nearby mind you.." She snapped. She was irritated by the cat demon's presence, but it was still just a child. She didn't want them to corrupt a child with their perversions.

"Please do not mind them. As my lord said, we came in order to investigate the source of the separation of the Shikon Crystal. We don't mean any harm but should you prove a threat to us... I shall not fail to eliminate you all. Including the two hiding behind the trees. I would suggest that you show yourselves and perhaps announce your existence rather than staying hidden."

"You'll find I'm quite persistent and hard to strike.." She retorted in confidence. Though she decided to hear them out. She wasn't going to necessarily start a fight, but she had to keep her pride about her. She couldn't let a threat go unacknowledged. It wasn't in her hotblooded nature to let someone get away with with threatening her. She learnt growing up as a Hanyo that if someone was allowed to bully you, it would only escalate.

"Aduhi Rekami.." She announced, reaching up and jabbing her thumb in the direction of her chest with a cocky grin.

Her crimson eyes narrowed and nose twitched as she made her assessment of the two. She snarled a bit, especially as the friendly one addressed her. A frown formed on her features and she turned to face the two of them, dragging the poor human boy with her during her transition.

Kaoru yelped as he was drug across the dirt, which got his pants dirty and gross feeling, but that wasn't the worst of his worries. During the manhandling, his leg got gashed up on a rock the demon forced him to hit as she turned to face the other two. The two men seemed to be arguing in his defense, but Kaoru was so confused and not to mention secretly terrified that he barely made what was what out of their intentions.

"Okay, stop right there, missy! Just relax and put that boy down, miss. We don't want any trouble."

"Why should I? He's the one who caused this mess! Just who do you think you are anyway?"

"Just relax and put that boy down, miss. We don't want any trouble."

Yes. Maybe this psychotic chick will let me go.. He thought hopefully, only to be thrown down to the ground. He winced a bit, but sat up, rubbing the back of his head. He chose to sit Indian style on the ground, afraid to run. Who knew what other powers these demons possessed? Not to mention the two guys had swords!

This girl really has an attitude problem! Was she raised by wolves? He thought, not aware of how ironic his thoughts truly were.
He scratched the back of his head in confusion as he tried to keep up with the people around him, but that only resulted in a pounding headache. The cat? dog..? Whatever demon the brunette female was, seemed to dislike those around her because her anger only grew the more they talked. Is there going to be some kind of battle here? Count me out! He thought, his eyes wide with fear. He didn't want to die, and in this situation he surely would..

"Relax? Does anyone realize what could happen if the wrong demons got ahold of the shards this idiot shattered?"

Excuse me!? I shattered!? He thought, his blue eyes narrowing at the back of the Hanyo who nearly strangled him to death. He was feeling a little insulted, considering she was placing blame on him for her shortcomings and mistake. You are the one who shattered the jewel, clumsy claws! He twitched with anger, but let out an annoyed groan. Not like anyone would actually listen to a guy like him.

"Gen..fancy meeting you here this far from ma--our mutual friend. Are you interfering in other affairs again?"

Hey lady, he saved my life you know! He frowned to the new arrival, wondering if it was finally safe to make a break for the well. Perhaps it was his ticket back home.. It was the reason he got here so why wouldn't it send him back?

He shifted to turn away from the group, but was instantly intercepted by the female Hanyo, and was held in place against his will. He groaned, and eventually rolled his eyes. I guess this is the end, cruel world.. He thought dramatically. Then he thought about all the things he wanted to accomplish in life, but never got to do.. I'm going to die a virgin.. I've never even had a girlfriend and I'm going to die here. This really sucks!

"Gen-sama, I don't care if you want to succumb to your fetish but we have to solve the problem in front of us first."

Fetish? I said nothing about that.. Oh.. Their conversation, not my mental one.. He thought to himself, but then shook his head. He looked to his track jacket zipper, eyeing it carefully. He wondered if he could unzip it and slip free from his coat before the girl could grab him.. It was laughable, but it was becoming more and more tempting.

"If you're going to discuss your private lives, please do so elsewhere. Some of us don't participate in the strange world of fetishes.. and there is a CHILD nearby mind you.."

How does she know there is a child nearby? Did she bring one with her? Oh.. The ears.. That might explain it.. He thought to himself, hitting himself in the forehead with the palm of his head. Duh.. she probably has like super hearing with those giant ears of hers..

That was all it took. At the word 'eliminate' Kaoru finally fainted. He fell limp in Aduhi's grasp and missed the rest of the conversation. He was... definitely a coward.. especially to be a distant descendant to Kikyo.. How did a boy like him possess the shard?

The air was still, barely a breeze pressed against the travelers as they went. Yet there was a thickness to the wind. Was it an ill omen perhaps? The scent was muted, filled with hints of vegetation and earth. The world was as it should be outside the castle’s walls. Even as the grass was stamped with the sole of black boots, they seemed careless to their guest’s passing.

They had left with an immediacy that made the small advisor nervous. It was rare for the Western Lord to express his thoughts and spend time talking during these trips. So Jaken would quietly work over his lord’s intentions in his mind. Debating with himself as to the purpose of their journey. In the old days it wasn’t unusual for Sesshomaru to chase his own goals in person. In fact every gain the lord had made was by his own hand. Yet, in the luxury of ruling was it not more fitting that a Daimyo command his warriors from the seat of safety? True they had lost a great number of vassals, but there were those still loyal to the great yokai. Whatever the reason, Jaken was assured that it warranted Sesshomaru’s presence, and it was this fact that worried the minuscule Yokai.

The two of them had journeyed together before, but this time it appeared to be just them. A-un was left behind in the comfort of the Western Castle, where he is allowed to graze the day away. Also there was the entire lack of their other compatriots. The likes of Kohaku and Rin.

Jaken hesitated momentarily stopping in place. His large bulbous eyes actually shifted downward. There was a sadness in his features as he stared to his feet. There hadn’t been much laughter in Jaken’s life since the absence of their former allies. Sometimes he found he actually missed that brat’s annoying giggling. The way she would greet them each morning with such enthusiasm. It made Jaken disgusted, how little a human life was by measure of someone like Sesshomaru. Yet, even Jaken knew there was something of a void where that once eager child use to be.

He glanced up to find that Sesshomaru hadn’t stopped, and briefly panicked. Running as fast as his tiny form could take him. His warbling and squawking quite vocal as he hurried to catch up.

“L-lord Sesshomaru please wait!”

They had been on plenty of adventures. Jaken had made it known that he had seen himself the great Lord Sesshomaru rise to power and build an empire by the edge of his own blade. He had struck children with awe in recounting the battles. He had even cowed ignorant servants by recounting tales of Sesshomaru’s strength and courage. Indeed the green demon could come to guess his lord’s thoughts by merely looking to him. The nearly undetectable changes in Sesshomaru’s expression were an open book to the likes of Jaken.

Sesshomaru was dressed for battle. He bore his traditional armor from their days in contestation with the likes of Inuyasha and Naraku. A spiked pauldron rounded over his left shoulder, attached to a black curiass which held firmly over his upper torso. Petal shaped faulds rested over his upper thighs and pelvis, accented with a long flowing sash that bore patterns of a blue river-like design across its brilliant yellow surface. Over his right shoulder rested his mokomoko, which at a casual observance appears to be a large furry boa of a stark white in color. Looks however can be terribly deceiving. At his left side tied firmly were two sheathes and what seemed to be traditional katana. Two hilts with ornate handles jut out from the side of his waist, his weapons of choice: The Bakusaiga and Tenseiga. The tools of a lord, one a blade of his making terrible and cruel, said to fell a thousand demons in a single swipe. The other a fang of redemption, a blade that will not cut, said to be able to save a hundred lives. Where ever they were off to. Sesshomaru was ready.

"Gen..fancy meeting you here this far from ma--our mutual friend. Are you interfering in other affairs again?"

Another female Hanyo joined the growing group of half demons. She wasn't really paying close attention to their conversations because during her fall she noticed something shiny on the ground. She quietly reach over and grabbed it, putting it in her kimono for safe keeping. A shard... I knew I saw one land nearby. I just hope none of them see it.

"Gen-sama, I don't care if you want to succumb to your fetish but we have to solve the problem in front of us first."

Fetishes? She blinked before crinkling her nose. What kind of people have I gotten myself involved with? These Hanyo are really strange characters.. and I feel sorry for that human boy.. That brown haired mutt is slinging him around like a rag doll...

"If you're going to discuss your private lives, please do so elsewhere. Some of us don't participate in the strange world of fetishes.. and there is a CHILD nearby mind you.."

Then her eye twitched and Maiyu's anger was activated, "I'M NOT A CHILD DAMMIT!" she snapped from the spot she was in, mentally cursing herself for shouting. She really wasn't good at laying low and sneaking around.. Then she heard one of the male Hanyo threaten the entire group.

"Please do not mind them. As my lord said, we came in order to investigate the source of the separation of the Shikon Crystal. We don't mean any harm but should you prove a threat to us... I shall not fail to eliminate you all. Including the two hiding behind the trees. I would suggest that you show yourselves and perhaps announce your existence rather than staying hidden."

Two? Someone else is- Oh yeah.. that girl I saw earlier... Is he..serious..? There is now way he can eliminate everyone...

Maiyu felt her entire body tense up in the purest form of fear. They knew she was there and there was no escaping the situation now. There were four strong Hanyo and one of them had no qualms about bullying that young human. She slowly stood, brushing her kimono off and pulled the leaves out of her hair. With a nervous gulp she emerged from the bush. Her cheek was bleeding a little from her fall, and from her appearance she seemed little more than a defiant child demon. It wasn't clear if she was Hanyo or Yokai, by appearance alone, but if they made the mistake of calling her a Yokai, they'd be quite loudly corrected.

"I believe it is appropriate to introduce ourselves first, if not to reduce the tension around us. My name is Jinza, and this man here is my lord, Gen Yoshimoto."

She hated Hanyo. Her olive eyes glared at the group, arms crossed as she let out an annoyed huff, "Maiyu. Remember it! My Father is the great cat demon Ryuan! It wouldn't be wise to 'eliminate' his daughter. He'd slaughter all of you without getting a scratch!" she bragged, standing cockily before them. She couldn't bend in front of these Hanyo. She couldn't show her fear. What would her father say!?

"Aduhi Rekami.."

When the first female Hanyo introduced herself, Maiyu finally noticed the human boy had fainted and she smacked her forehead. He's such a coward... She came to a decision quickly before pointing at Jinza, "Was it really necessary to scare him like that!?" She snapped, an angry expression on her face. Her other fist was clenched, "You're just a bully!" She added, then her eyes turned to Aduhi, "You're even worse!" she added. She looked to the poor human boy, storming over and snatching him from the half demon's grasp, smacking his cheeks lightly, "Wake up! I saved you, it's okay now! It's okay Baby-chan~ "

The kid at least had guts.

Fremea decided that she had made a poor decision showing up as soon as her words left her mouth. Not only had Gen brought Jinza with him, but there was now a gathering of individuals now. Perhaps it would've been better if she watched through a bird and not gotten involved at all.

"How rude, Frem-san. You know I don't interfere with other affairs? I only merely... join the fray so to speak. Perhaps you were trying to shake the blame off to me because you too feel the same, no? Could it be that even you, the almighty (Angelwolf's character)'s boots-licking half demon and self-proclaimed loyal to (Angelwolf's character) only, would want to gain powers bestowed by the Shikon Crystal? At those words, Fremea felt a sudden rush of anger. How dare he imply that she would ever betray her master. How dare he imply she was on the same level as Gen. She reached behind her into her sash to draw her dagger, then stopped at the last moment. This was Gen. Of course he wanted her to rouse her anger and fight him. Sick bastard always got off on this stuff. Furthermore, she had let herself be angered, especially by someone such as him. She would need to punish herself for this later. Fremea relaxed her hand and put on a fake smile, and it turned into a genuine one after Jinza slapped Gen.

" Of course not Gen-san. Unlike you, I don't enjoy fighting, and I especially do not enjoy the process of getting hurt while doing so. And of course, I do desire the Shinkon Jewel, but not for me. I have no use for it outside of that. "

With that she turned her attention to the wolf and the human. As far as she could tell, the human had broken the Shinkon Jewel or had something to do with it at least. She remembered her master telling her about what happened a long time ago--a human from another world being able to sense the shards. Perhaps he was the same. Even if he wasn't, maybe she could find some use for him.

" I am Fremea, but you can call me Chusei if you prefer a name in Japanese. I work for a lord in another province as his aide and herbalist."

With any luck, they had all been too busy bickering to overlook her bloodlust earlier. The other hanyou shouldn't be able to smell the blood and gunpowder anyways. She was about to give a proposition to the human, but Jinza opened his damned mouth again.

"Please do not mind them. As my lord said, we came in order to investigate the source of the separation of the Shikon Crystal. We don't mean any harm but should you prove a threat to us... I shall not fail to eliminate you all. Including the two hiding behind the trees. I would suggest that you show yourselves and perhaps announce your existence rather than staying hidden."

Then the human fainted and out jumped the cat-demon child thing. Fremea sighed. This was becoming more and more like a poorly written story by a drunk author. This one appeared to be especially mouthy.

"Maiyu. Remember it! My Father is the great cat demon Ryuan! It wouldn't be wise to 'eliminate' his daughter. He'd slaughter all of you without getting a scratch!"

Fremea frowned at this. She didn't remember having to negotiate or ....dispose of anyone called Ryuan. Either Maiyu was lying or Ryuan wasn't so great. She wanted to call the child out, but there was little point in it--what good was calling out a child on her bluff.

The cat demon ran over to the unconscious human and started smacking him , claiming she had saved him. So it did seem like she was a chronic liar.

" Little girl, I'm not sure smacking him would accomplish that much. Here, take these two containers. One, if forced down his throat, should wake him up. Its nasty stuff. You can apply the other to your face. You're bleeding."

Fremea reached into her yukata and threw two containers of mixed herbs to the cat demon. There was no harm in playing nice if it helped her present a case to the human.

Things were going pretty well. Although Jinza could had laid off the slap and the slight intimidation, the group managed to roll into a slightly good start. Slightly. Gen was seriously prepared if a fight were to occur, but perhaps it was due to Jinza's self introduction in the end that saved him the trouble of battle. Wait. On second thought, it would had been better if they had a fight. There was three girls fighting against the two of them, five if the other two actually decides to join in as well. God knows how much of an excitement would that be, Gen thought to him. But he ultimately chose to refrain from steering things into there, even if he somehow fell for it.

Fremea was already going with the flow and gave medicinal herbs to the injured, young cat demon? No matter. At least Fremea didn't try to poison the fellow. Gen showed a bad impression just now, so he had to make it up somehow. "But still. Jinza could have slapped me a bit more gentler. I can still feel the burn on my cheeks." He rubbed his cheeks as he whispered softly. Nonetheless, Gen returned to his lazy stance, a hand holding his katana lightly while the other rests itself on his hips. His hair flutters about a little as a breeze passes through the thick forest.

"I probably should stop my indecent behavior. I apologize if I offended you." Gen moved his arms and pointed towards the fainted boy, signalling his comrade to help the boy. He bowed slightly before going ahead to tend to the black haired boy. Gen then switched his attention to the other two again.

Aduhi Rekami. She was definitely no normal demon. Her long brown hair runs down on her back and as a fellow hanyo, her demon ears peered out of her hair with the same colors of her hair. Judging from her attire, she should be from a village around here. Whether or not she was born here or somewhere else puzzles him still. Weird enough however, she was wearing a blue collar connected to a leash. Aside from that, Gen predicted that Aduhi would use some form of claws and is more speedy than strength. Even though her choice of words begs to differ. Gen ignored it and decided to judge at a later time, should he get to know her even a little better.

"Aduhi Rekami. I can tell you're strong. Along with Frem-san here, if we were to fight, I'm pretty sure we'll cause unnecessary chaos. As a matter of fact, we'd just met each other and I don't think we'd want to involve innocents into our battle." Gen took a short glance at the injured boy, the small cat demon and the other one hiding somewhere near. He liked a challenge or two, but not if it means involving others in it as well. All he really wants is to have a good match with someone as powerful as him. Moving on, he continued.

"I'll have Jinza here take care of the boy. We can go somewhere and have a little chat as to why I had came here. The Shikon Crystal is no small matter and if I am not wrong, that boy there has the same ability as the human that once traveled here from a well." Gen had read about it in a recorder's log that dates back to when the great Shikon Crystal was shattered the same way as now. The evil demon known as Naraku managed to assemble the great crystal to its former glory, but a group of brave adventurers took him down with the crystal. It was never seen from that day forth all the way today. To witness the sudden reappearance of the great Shikon Crystal, Gen had finally found an objective to complete and a means to quickly his lifelong goal; to be stronger.

"Let's not stand here any longer. Shall we head to the village or perhaps my encampment to rest and discuss this further there?"
