Setting

The top floor of the mall looks onto the famous skyline of Throme, and its the tallest building on the other side of Liron River. It is quite the stunning view, but there is much more to do here on the roof.

On the left half of the roof, there is a rooftop garden, complete with rose arbors and white garden benches. Many a relationship has begun here. The roses are blooming throughout the summer, but ice sculptures are placed all about during the winter, while the roses are withered. A photo shoot for all the distinguished celebrities of Throme is in the planning.

On the right, there is a large children's playground - the Children's Playground of Spades. It seems to have an Alice in Wonderland theme going on, with statues of all the main characters all around. It is a fitting place for young children to play, as it's fenced to prevent children from falling.

A round observatory is seen in the middle - Suna Stargazing Observatory. The observatory is run by a middle-aged lady who has Asian features - she gives her name as Suna. On clear nights, the stars and constellations can be seen in great detail, for a sum.

Oskana Sonnen ~ The roof

The mall was a noisy, busy, bustling place. Where people shuffled about one another vainly, shoving each other away from racks and strutting in front of curved mirrors. Oskana is ashamed to admit that she was one of those who participated in the madness. Bad days in particular drive her to this battle ground where blood is spilled and the demon inside shows. It wasn't someone she wanted to recognize. Shoulders held back with laser-focused pride, anyone whom her monstrous self may have dealt with held no recognization in her eyes. There was a moment when she felt her control slip, just as she was entering the building; a ghost whom held no interest. Oskana allowed her feet to carry her through ground-floor, a bee-line towards the elevator. Slipping her hands into her dress pocket, Oskana gripped the package in her one hand until the corners bit at her skin.

Few strangers accompanied her on the ride up to the roof; aches in the balls of her feet protest when she had attempted the stairs. A space to herself in the corner of the elevator, Oskana had eyes only for the ceiling. The elevator music was terribly boring, as always. The conception of elevator music was to calm nervous passengers but she didn't know a single person who suffered panic attacks in an elevator. Stops made for the other passengers made the ride jarringly maddening, the length at which she had to listen to elevator music doubled with every stop. Floors one through seven, it was at the later which she had to exit, covering the rest of the ground by foot.

A breeze became well acquainted with the strands of her hair as she hit the open roof, tangling the already tousled strands like a cat with yarn. The dimming sky made it more difficult for her to pick out the recipient as there were several individuals looking for air and solitude. Usually for deliveries like this, it would be clear who the package was for whether be it by sign or individual; there was no sign and she recognized no one. They would have to find her today. Releasing her grip on the case, Oskana uncurled her hand, tracing the imprints from the case. No doubt there was something very important inside. It made her anxious. Anxiety or fear that whatever she was carrying was going to be her demise. A chuckle tickled the back of her throat; how horrible. Throwing her life away for the likes of Itex, the insanity of such should have driven her mad.

But then again, Itex was more interesting then sanity could have been.

Amy Calen; The Roof

Amy stood in the elevator, looking calmly at the people wandering around the mall, having fun, frantically looking for things, talking with friends, playing games, skating. The Mall was an amazing place, allowing people to do whatever they wanted with whomever they wanted. They didn't have to choose where to go; they could decide once they got there. If they wished to do something completely different, they simply had to move between floors, not walk halfway across Throme. And it had an amazing view of the town and the night sky! She glanced in anticipation at the ceiling, eyes sparkling with excitement as the elevator came to a stop, the lit up number 7 wishing good luck. She walked briskly to the stairs and pushed open the doors, exiting back into the open air: the roof.

For a moment, she stood there, stunned. The darkness, the silence of emerging night was offset by the glittering of lights in the town below, by the sounds of people both in front of and below her, by the thousands of stars above her; it was a spectacular experience. Brushing a stray hair behind her ear, she rushed to the edge, walking past, around, between people and finally peering over the edge with sparkling eyes, her lip turning up slightly in memory of a smile. She gazed down at the ants milling through the streets, spotting landmarks: Maybelle Avenue with Brio, Cenriel Academy, Liron River, Cherry Grove Park. Turning around, her gaze focused now on the vast expanse above her, the stars, constellations, the moon. "384,400" she murmured absentmindedly as her hand once again brushed the stray hair away.

After a few moments of stargazing, she remembered what she had actually come here for: the Student Council. Apparently, everyone in the Student Council also had a mask like hers. And it seemed like there was something else that they did, something outside of school. There was an organization, Itex, which wanted these masks for some reason, and the Student Council was against them, with the help of some strange woman, Liesel her name was? Anyway, in order to get in good standing with the Council, there was a package to retrieve. The others would arrive shortly and help out, or maybe they had already arrived? She glanced around for anyone she recognized.

The Rose Gardens were relatively empty. There were a few couples strolling around and the few wanderers, but no one who seemed like they were waiting for anyone. Except... there was one man on a bench, leaning against it and looking at his watch. Maybe this was the person, but it was best to check everywhere else just in case. Brushing a new strand of hair which had worked its way loose from her hair tie, Amy turned to look at the Playground. Not many people there, and it was such a weird place for someone to deliver a package. That was likely not the place. Moving on, her eyes lighted on the Observatory. Ah, how she wished that were the place. But that was also pretty unlikely... Unlike the other attractions on the roof, the Observatory cost money, and there were normally a lot of people there at this time of night quietly watching the stars. While it wasn't a bad place to deliver something, there were much better places. However, Amy wouldn't mind stopping by the Observatory just to make sure...

But for now, the most likely spot was the Rose Gardens where the time-fixated, hooded man was sitting on his bench. If nothing else, it was suspicious. Amy turned around to face the Garden and was caught off guard by a sudden blast of wind, blowing even more of her hair into disarray. Sighing, she took off her hair tie and shook her hair out, letting the long hair cascade into place and then get carried by the wind. She'd have to fix it later, but down was probably better than all the stray hairs. As she looked up, about to resume walking, she noticed Oskana just standing in the crowd. Strangely enough, she wasn't talking with anyone. Well, that was about to change. Amy walked up behind her and tapped her on the shoulder. "Hey Oskana! What did you come up here for?" Without time for an answer, a fact wandered out of Amy's mouth, "Did you know there are 123 different species of roses? Do you think the garden has them all?"

Coraline Starling;The Roof

Coraline yawned as the elevator went up tired from her over dose on medicaion. Yet, when she looked downwards to find Lucas with a bleeding Aki, she freaked out almost completely. She kept slamming her hands on the glass of the elevator, trying to show some kind of 'Call 911' in her facial expression. Weather he say her or not was up to his eye sight, but it was most likely that he didn't.

As soon as the elevator was up, Coraline dashed right out of it, stumbling around and trying to find someone who had the box that she was told to get with the other Guardians. She kept looking around in a bit of a panic, simply wanting the box and to go help Lucas with Aki. 'Please... Get him to a hospital...' Coraline thought with a small blush as she bumped into some man. She stared at the gray-hooded man for a moment before jumping back two steps and falling onto her butt by accident, like the klutz she truely was.

Looking around for a moment, just to act like she ment to do that. She also tried to pretend she was making sure no one else followed, but truely was trying to see if he, was in fact, the right man to get the box from. Did he even seem to have a box on him in the first place? From the quick glace, it seemed like he didn't.

Remaining on the floor, she looked up into the night sky as a distraction from her line of sight. She then turned her head to look for everyone else.

Treia Rawler; The Roof

As Treia and Oskana separated from each other to “avoid suspicion,” Treia found herself writing in the small notebook that she always carried around while she watched the night sky. She felt the widening gap between her and the rest of Throme as people gradually steered clear of her, feeling her apparently dark atmosphere and the malice emanating from her mask. She had recently been given her mask, an ornate half-face mask with gold trim and coloring synonymous with the night sky – perfect for The Star. A thought crept into the back of her mind, distracting her from her writing. ‘What are the consequences of not getting that package delivered? It’s not my fault if it doesn’t arrive, is it? I mean, Oskana is the one carrying the package. But what if Judgement was serious? Should I worry about my life right now? Nah
’

She couldn’t shake the thought out of her head for some reason. What if Judgement came along and found her writing instead of keeping up with Oskana to deliver the package. Speaking of which, where was Oskana? She had just remembered that Oskana was afraid of being alone for long. Speaking of which, how long had it been since they had been sent up to the roof to deliver the package?

As she put away the notebook and rose to find her companion, a chill ran down her spine. Something – someone, maybe – was watching her. Of course, being Treia Rawler, she shook it off and chalked it up to nerves. A particularly bright star winked down at her as she continued on her way to prevent Oskana from creating a scene.

Treia Rawler; The Roof

"Hey Oskana! What did you come up here for? Did you know there are 123 different species of roses? Do you think the garden has them all?"
That must have been Amy. What was she doing here? In any case, it didn’t seem as though Oskana was alone, so there was no need to worry about her causing a scene. What was Amy doing here, though? It seemed like she would be studying rather than here.

“So you’re not hitting the books today?” Treia rearranged her hair hastily – she had tried something new with it so that it wouldn’t look so flat and dead, but she had failed miserably – not only that, but it was uncomfortable. She swore to herself that she would NEVER try using more than four hair ties at the same time. They were just too hard to manage.

Right. She was going to help Oskana out of her little situation with Amy. What should she say to make Amy go away, though? What if they couldn’t get rid of her before they had to deliver the package or worse, what if Judgement came and saw them in this situation?
She felt the chill down her spine again. What was going on? Was there something happening that she didn’t know of that was affecting her? She looked up and saw the star winking down at her again. It reminded her of a distant memory of the last year, when she had received The Star from Itex

She looked up to find a star winking down at her. It was a warm night, but she felt cold – specifically, there were chills running from her spine to the tips of her fingers and toes. Something was going to happen to her, and she highly doubted that it would be good. She saw a shadow move and bolted from her spot reflexively, but was caught by a strong arm. A strong, warm arm.

“I have been looking for you.” The man, cloaked in the shadow of the night, had handed her something. “This was waiting for you to come to it. Come. I shall show you the power I am bestowing upon you.”

A tug. As she shook herself out of her dazed state, she realized that no, there wasn't anyone pulling on her as she had thought. Someone had just bumped into her and caught one of her hair ties on something.

Amara "Amy" Calen; The Roof

Amy had addressed Oskana, but another voice responded to her question instead. "So you’re not hitting the books today?” Amy hadn't even noticed Treia on the roof, and it took her a little while to connect the voice to a name and then to realize Treia was talking to her. "No, the library's closed. 8 pm, remember? But aren't the stars beautiful tonight? You see Pleione and Atlas? With Alcyone, Merope, Sterope, Maia, Taygeta, Caleano, and Electra? Aren't they stunning? OOHHH!!! The Observatory! Let's go there!" Remembering that she was supposed to be looking for something surreptitiously, to help the student council, she paused and collected herself. Maybe they would separate from her? It was worth a shot
"Well, of course, if you don't want to go to the Observatory, I guess I could go alone..."

She gazed longingly at the Observatory. She should have enough money for herself, despite the high prices. And who knew? The item could very well be in the Observatory! It would save the rest of them the cost from having to go in, and she'd be able to look at the stars. If the Gardens really were where she was supposed to go, she could go later, after making sure that the Observatory was not the right place. And now that she thought about it, the Rose Gardens were too open, too likely to have people who are paying attention to others. If there were anyone around at the time of delivery, they'd notice. Roses were nowhere near as captivating as stars, of course. With all the stars around, and with wanting to make use of their spent money, who would spend the time to pay attention to others?

And the Observatory had a cost! So there would be less random people, more people who actually wanted to be there and would be devoting their time to making the most of it. It was actually looking like even better of a place for a delivery than Amy had originally imagined. Of course, the recipient had to know where she was going, but it would stop any extra meetings with people who weren’t supposed to pick up the package. So it wasn’t just for her own interests that she checked out the Observatory first

Suddenly, a gust of wind blew her hair across her face and into her mouth. Spitting it out, she turned to block the wind, watching as her hair streamed out in front of her. And her eyes were drawn to Treia whose hair tie seemed caught on a stranger. She rushed over and tried to untangle it, finally succeeding but losing the tie in the process. She took off one from her wrist and offered it to Treia. “Hey, take mine instead. I’ve got more at home, and I’m not using it.”

Amy looked around the roof once more for anyone else she recognized, a student council member, someone else from school, maybe there was someone else she knew? She didn’t spot anyone, but it was always possible she was overlooking something. Anyway, she needed to get in line for the Observatory if she didn’t want to still be waiting in line at daybreak. “So, are you coming or not? We should get in line now before it’s too long.” Waiting a few seconds for a response from Treia and Oskana, Amy prepared to walk into line. It would be nice to talk with Suna again, see what new items she had recently acquired

Vera Chung ; The Roof [Sagaro Mall]

Vera smiled merrily around as she and the rest of the student council entered Sagaro Mall together. She always did like this classy building - it was the best place to meet with friends and fellow classmates. However, it was so annoying that Liesel insisted that they travel to various places around Throme, day in and day out. It wasn’t as though she needed to be ferried around the city like one of those tourists anyways. But still, there was no need to fret, right? One day, Itex would get what was waiting for them - maybe they didn’t need to do work after all.

Lost in her own thoughts, she didn’t notice it when Lucas disappeared on the way to the roof. Looking at the crowded elevator, she decided to take the escalators instead - so with a smile, she disentangled herself from the crowd and headed up the escalators. Close by, there was a large crowd, gawking at some person. Vera wished that she was the one who was drawing the attention instead - somehow, it was too quiet here. Looking down at the small square piece of pink paper in her hands, she started to fold it in half, creasing it as she went. The people behind her started to talk amongst themselves, and Vera let out a breath that she didn’t realize she was holding.

How everything felt better when there was noise.

She turned her attention back to folding her new creation - this one would be an ox, with its head down and eating at the grass. In pink. Maybe it would look better in black or white - but still, origami wasn’t meant to be in such dull colors.

Her foot lurched over the end of the escalator, and Vera lurched forwards slightly. Smiling sheepishly to herself, she allowed the couple behind her to help her remain upright.

“I’m so sorry,” she said, her eyes bright and lively. “I must have gotten too engrossed in my work that I forgot to pay attention. I’m so sorry for being so clumsy. Thank you so much.” Ah, it was always good to smile at people after making a mistake. And if they thought that she was a kind person, there was no reason not to - well, introduce herself. “I’m Vera Chung, from Cenriel Academy. It’s nice to meet people that are so kind in Throme these days.”

The couple smiled, no doubt caught in by her little tangle of words. The trio stepped onto the next moving escalator, this time to the third floor. “It’s no problem,” one said, before extending his hand in her direction. “We’re glad to be of help. I’m Adam and this here is my friend Melody.”

Vera gave them a gracious nod. “So, what are you doing here in Sagaro Mall?” She took the hand and shook it twice, not too weak, but not too strong either. “I mean, it’s such a nice evening,” and then with a larger smile continued eye contact with the couple.

“Ah, we’re just meeting a friend on the roof,” answered the man, surely, before smiling at the young girl. “You?”

Vera waved one hand around happily. “Same here!” She made the absolute care not to ruin her origami ox - after all, it would not be what it needed to look like if it was crushed in any way. The rest of the trip up to the top of the building ended up with a upbeat conversation about Throme today.

“We’re finally here!” exclaimed Vera with a deep breath of air when reaching the roof.

“Ah, it was nice having you keep us old people company,” said Melody with a smile and a wave. “ I hope to see you around one day.”

Vera looked around, seeing that a few people were watching the conversation. Probably due to her almost too excited statement. “Of course! And you’re not old! I really liked talking to you guys too!”

On that happy note, the two split off, before heading into the rose gardens. Vera looked around cursory, before deciding that once again, Liesel had made a mistake. Maybe it would be better for her if she was seen to be working around. She saw the new member, that
Amara, speaking with Treia Rawler. It wasn’t right for someone who was new like her to be so pushy
It wasn’t as like she was even accepted into the Student Council properly anyways. But that Amara should really be waiting for the people who were skilled at dealing with Itex to deal with these tasks of Liesel. It was just
 strange that she would dare.

And it didn’t even seem as though she was doing anything productive. Treia was a student - there was no way that she had anything to do with the killing of the principal , Arthur Torrings. But maybe Amara was a member of Itex. There was no other way that some new member would dare to be spending time talking to other people when there was something to do

Not that Vera was helping. But

It just wasn’t right! That she was accepted into the Student Council without any fuss whatsoever. They were the chosen ones by the principal himself - and now, they were giving this
newb a place in their ranks.

But this wasn’t the place to be mean. Not outwardly at least.

Vera smiled again, before waving excitedly in her direction. “Amara! What are you doing?” she called out, before running towards her. She was pretty near the Observatory’s line, maybe she was planning on going inside or something? “For the Student Council thing, do you have any ideas?” She smiled then, looking at the two girls that she was talking to, as though realizing that they were there for the first time. Then, she gave a nervous smile, “I’m sorry, Amara. Did I interrupt your conversation with Treia and Oskana? Sorry, I was just so happy to be on the roof,” Then, spotting the roses in the rose garden, she continued. “But the roses are so pretty these days. Do you like roses? Flowers? I love the Kawasaki rose - so elegant, yet simple.”

Amara "Amy" Calen; The Roof

"Amara! What are you doing? For the Student Council thing, do you have any ideas?" Who was that? A Student Council member? She turned, regrettably into the wind, her hair once again blowing across her face. She sweeped it away and angled herself, so it wouldn't be as much of a bother. Ah, that's who it was. Vera. Vera Chung. What was this thing she was talking about? Oh well, better play along than seem like more of a hindrance. And go along with her to wherever they were supposed to be headed... Where was that, actually? She had never heard from anyone, and it was getting to be a bother. The others really needed to get here faster instead of leaving the ignorant member alone and clueless.

"I'm sorry, Amara. Did I interrupt your conversation with Treia and Oskana? Sorry, I was just so happy to be on the roof. But the roses are so pretty these days. Do you like roses? Flowers? I love the Kawasaki rose - so elegant, yet simple." Hmm... so it was the Rose Garden, was it? Well, no matter. It had been her first guess, but she had so hoped... No, it didn't matter, she had a job, and she needed to get along with it. In response, "Ah, Vera, you know there aren't any Kawasaki roses in the garden. I mean, unless you had some planting of your own. But why don't we use the Garden for the Council thing? I'm sure the Greenhouse could benefit from a little more color, more variety. Why don't we catalogue the species in there and find those best suited for life in the Greenhouse?"

Was that a good enough excuse to leave these two? Would they have questions about her relationship with the Council? Well, if so, there should be some convincing way to explain herself... She just needed to think of it. Well, she was not a Council member yet, so there was no way she could say that. And the mission was top secret, so that would be kept as a closely guarded secret. They were... comrades? No, wrong word. Friends. But... would that pass? It would have to do for now. She could build up the relationship and get an alibi. Or even... she had been in the Council before, albeit at another school. Of course it made sense that she would want to get back into the jobs again! And it was definitely true. She missed having a say in the events of the school, acting for the good of everyone and listening to everyone's opinions. But what would be the best way to present that? That she just wanted a position on the Council so was helping them out? No, that wasn't quite the right thing to say, either... It made it seem like that was her sole purpose in helping out. So... could she say that she was just getting to know people and helping out around the school? She felt a need to help out, to make things better for others? Or just that she had been approached, so she agreed? Well, something would work for now, but-

Oh, it had probably been a while since she had done anything, since she had zoned out. She brought her hand down from where she had been toying with her hair and tried to figure out if she had said something unknowingly or if they had asked her something in the meantime. Hopefully they hadn't, but she had to have some excuse for her long silence. "Oh, sorry. I was just thinking... Which type of roses would be best for the Greenhouse? There's the banksiae, a beautiful yellow. Or how about gallica? They're a nice, deep pink, a rather striking hue. Though if you want a more ornamental, rose-like shape, chinensis is better for pink. Ooh, another colorful rose is foetida, the bicolor kind, with orange and yellow? Or if you want a dark red, more traditional, there's always the kordesii? If white fits instead, we could go with... filipes? sericea? laevigata? They're all so pretty... Hmm... I guess we should go see what species are there?"

She started to walk off toward the Rose Gardens, assuming Vera would follow. After a few steps, she stopped, startled, and turned around. "Oh, Treia, Oskana! I completely forgot! I'm sorry! Umm... we can look at the stars another day? You two have fun, and say hi to Suna for me? Thanks! See you around!" Feeling slightly better, hoping she hadn't forgotten anything else, Amara turned around again after making sure that Vera was indeed coming with her to the Rose Gardens. She was correct in understanding that the Rose Garden was the right place to go, right? It seemed like Vera wanted to go there, so she had to trust that she was right. Which she was, wasn't she?

Lucas Toland; Sagaro Mall, Roof

Fortunately the roof wasn’t all that crowded – it wouldn’t take too long to find the others
or so he hoped. Lucas looked about helplessly. It was like one of those hidden picture games where he could find everything except the thing he was meant to find. “Vera? Amara?” he tried again, beginning to wander along the rooftops. It was clearly evening now, and the stars were beginning to peer out from the darkness of the sky. Any other day, it might have been a pretty sight. At the moment, it only served to remind Lucas how much time he’d wasted running around after a phantom package.

There was only solace in the fact that it was Friday

‘Although there’re probably better ways to waste a Friday afternoon,’ he thought. There surely was, but he’d spent his free time this way for so long now, he could barely remember what other ways there was. Maybe if he didn’t have this whole Mask business hanging over his head, Lucas would actually be able to enjoy the fragrant rose gardens up ahead or visit the observatory instead.

Somewhere in the back of his mind, he had a small hope that Liesel’s information was right – that for once, he wasn’t wasting his time. He remembered he had been so alarmed every time she gave them a task in the beginning
now he expected little to nothing. However, the slightest chance that the information was correct kept him busy. He needed reassurance
but that was a different concern.

His main one was the curious stares he was getting from several of the other people on the roof. It was the blood, he was sure of it, and it made him uneasy. Maybe Gage or someone else had a jacket he could borrow just to cover it up. Just then, he spotted a welcome form and his dim expression brightened. “Vera!” he called out, brushing past some sightseers to meet the girl. “I’m sorry I’m so late. Did I miss anything?”

Suna Sundevale : The Roof (Sagaro Mall)

Suna had just ducked into her observatory to check the state of affairs. Far too often, she had allowed her customers free reign of the premises to come back seeing that they had delved into her private affairs. Or something equally annoying. Just to her realization, she saw one of the men talking loudly on his phone and destroying the careful, devoted ambience that she had spent so much time in maintaining. Giving him a look, she grasped the phone out of his fingers, before lifting it to her ear. Someone was blabbering on about something dealing with stocks, before Suna, cutting through the conversation, addressed him. “He is currently unavailable, call back later.”

“What are you doing?!” the man called as she pressed the disconnection button. She didn’t answer, except to stride away dismissively. It was just like those uncivilized cretin businessman to think more about what could be discussed at home, when there were stars to watch. They were out in full force, with the brightness of their shimmering selves making patterns in the sky. With her naked eye, Suna could almost see the various colors that they possessed, almost like jewels set into a black velvet box.

Just then, her top-notch phone started to vibrate, and her manicured hand flew to it with a frown. Who could it be at this hour? It was almost 8 PM, and any sane person would have waited to give her a call - especially if they knew that it was a weekend, and she was therefore busy. But looking at the caller ID, she almost dropped it in shock.

Her customer’s woman, or so she assumed. They certainly made a pair.

Feeling as though she would much rather throw the phone out the window, she picked up and brought the phone closer to ear. Suna was breaking her own rules with this action, but, well, there was nothing else that you could do with old money. “Hello? Miss, is there anything that I can help you with?” Her voice was an emotionless monotone, and she ignored the customer from before who was throwing a fit. What was one customer against her life? It was just like her customer to force her to deal with that proud wife of his. She was far too used to having her own way - but that was just to be expected. At the very least, Suna could say that they paid well. Extremely well. “No, Miss, there hasn’t been the chance to do such a thing yet, so
” Suna replied purposely slowly. She knew this woman far too well to do anything too rebellious, but it wouldn’t stop her from making her irritation clear. “Ah, I see. The students, you say? So when are you going to come pick up your object?” Then, with a barely audible sigh, she dropped the phone back into her pocket and graceful, ever-so silently made her way to their exit.

Hopefully the monkeys inside wouldn’t break anything without her there.

So where exactly where those students. With her quick cursory glance, she had not been managed to catch their faces - and even if she did, there was no way that she would have ever thought them to be important and therefore recognize their names. With a look around, she realized that there were two groups of students that could possibly be the ones that she was looking for - one with two girls, and one with two girls and a boy. Which one was it? It was just like her customers to not give her enough information to deal with it.

Looking at each of the groups more closely, she realized that one of the groups was noticeably closer to her, as the other was in the Rose Gardens. She would try them first, as it would take less time so that she could get back to doing what she wanted to do. Turning in their direction, she took out her irritation at the request by being more standoffish than usual. “Package?” Was there anyway that she could be sure that she was approaching the right group of students. “I was told that you had some sort of delivery. Messengers?” It was not descriptive enough that she could simply shrug it off as a mistake if need be - but it was passable.

Amara "Amy" Calen; The Roof

They had gotten to the Rose Garden, and there weren't too many people around. Vera was asking questions to a random stranger, the suspicious one Amy had remarked upon earlier. It seemed like something to do with roses? What in the world was she doing? Oh well, the man left, and the only other people in sight were a man and a woman, obviously a couple enjoying their walk in the Garden. Vera seemed to be thinking, considering something before she spoke.

"So
I guess that Liesel was wrong then? Like usual? I can’t personally see anyone else that’d be doing anything that we could check out." Wait, this Liesel person was normally wrong? Then why in the world did they listen to her? Hmm... well, if that was the case, then it would make some sense as to why there was no one here. Though, in that case, this entire trip would be a waste. And she hadn't even gotten to go into the Observatory! On such a clear night, too! Well, that would have to change...

"Unless you can see something that I’ve missed that is?" Oh, that was Vera again, to her. Well, it deserved a response at the very least. Something to get her out of this and on her own, so she could go to the Observatory. If this was going to be a waste of time, it was not going to be a complete waste... Head turned to Vera, she pushed aside some stray hairs before responding.

"No, if Liesel's normally wrong, she's likely wrong now. If she said Rose Gardens, I don't see anyone here? Probably misinformation or something like that. So, if we're done here, I'll-" She cut off, a ruckus from behind startling her into turning. Startled murmurs were growing, and a young man covered in drying blood burst into the Garden running toward them. "Vera!" Lucas. Blood? Ah well, there wasn't anyone else around bleeding, but it did appear to be someone else's blood. Well, it was taken care of, whether the person was saved or not. And for some reason Mr. Student Council President didn't have the decency (or maybe it was the brains? but he did seem conscientious of it, so...) to cover it up and to stop from causing a distraction. "I’m sorry I’m so late. Did I miss anything?" Nope, but we did, apparently. Someone's blood... Not out loud of course. Now that she was facing Vera again, she continued what she was saying.

"Ah, well as I was saying, Liesel's probably wrong, and I see nothing. If you need me, I'll be in the Observatory. I'm not going to waste such a beautiful night just standing around here waiting for nothing. See you later!" Turning briskly, she rushed out of the Gardens, crossing the crowded roof, intently focused on the Observatory, where the line had diminished greatly by now. And for some reason Suna was not at her usual spot? Confused, Amara made a scan of the crowd to see if she was out recruiting potential star-viewers. Not there, not there, not there... Ah! There she was! Talking to Oskana and Treia! Well, Amara wasn't going to- A sudden gust of wind blew her hair once again into her mouth. Spitting it out, she tried to catch her train of thought again.

She turned: the Observatory. From there, Suna. And then... Following the same path, she got back to Oskana and Treia where Suna was. Oh! That's what she was going to do! Amara ran, pushing through the crowd until she got back to Oskana and Treia. "Hey guys, it doesn't seem like it was a big deal, and I got out of it! Now, let's go to the-" She turned, as if just catching sight of Suna. "Oh! Suna! It's a beautiful night, isn't it? We were just about to go to the Observatory, but I was pulled away. Did you finally buy that telescope you've had your eye on? I hope you can get it delivered soon!"
