Center the mind on the present, release turmoil with each breath, Thank the day...
"At kveldi skal dag leyfa"
((Praise the day at evening))
After the prolonged silence Slokrath's words seemed to hang in the air. The sound eventually faded and he was enraptured by the aura of silence again. His eyes opened, and he rose to his feet; he walked toward his bedroll pausing for a moment to glance at the stars and moon overhead.
Fortune grace these proceedings and let reason be heard.
His sleep was short, intermittent, and restless.
It should take about two days to reach the Summit, three If I stop in Konohagakure for some of that famous Ramen. I just hope that everyone is willing to work toward a lasting peace once the Summit is underway.
He grabbed his ax and started toward the door. It creaked open and then closed with a slow thud. Slokrath's feet flashed under him as he began to sprint toward the Northwest, leaping from ground to branch, branch to roof, roof to ground; keeping his momentum and moving swiftly toward the Kage summit. His legs began to burn as he continued rushing forward, but he paid them no attention making sure to continue progressing for as long as the day would allow.
After sixteen hours of straight sprinting, night had returned, and Slokrath decided to take a brief rest. The night was uneventful and the weather was calm. After a short four hour rest He continued his rush toward Konohagakure propelled by his desire to refuel with a bowl of gourmet Ramen. It took another five hours before he finally found himself outside the gates of the Hidden Leaf.
Just a quick break. I'll grab some food, maybe stop to see if Sukino has departed yet, and then I will continue without pause.
