Adam is kind of like a mad scientist. Ever since he was little he'd been fascinated by science and chemicals. By the age of eight he was taught physics and chemistry and even surpassed most high schoolers in that area. And by the age of twelve he was able to figure out a cure for a deadly virus going around that even the most skilled of the skilled couldn't figure out.

Personality: Adam is a hyper, happy, bubbly man. He greets everyone with a smile and won't look down on them unless given a reason. Yes, part of him has a majorly inflated ego, but he usually doesn't let it get to his head. Usually...
He's not really all that much of a morning person, so it's best to allow him to wake up before talking to him. And that means, wait an hour after he's had about ten cups of coffee. After that he's back to his happy and hyper self. But if you were to bug him he'd be more likely to jab at someone's pressure point rather than smile at them. Or if you're really unlucky, get acid poured on your hand.
When he's in the zone during his work. you're also more likely to have a better conversation with a glass cup. 'cause he will refuse to answer you unless you physically take his work away. And that is never a good idea. 'cause he's usually working with something that could blow up and kill everybody. It's not that he's ignoring you, it's just that he doesn't hear you. Why? Because he's too focused.
History: As said before, Adam was introduced to physics and chemistry around the age of eight, and was able to surpass most kids in high school with his abilities. You see. He never had a father but his mother was one of those people who work on finding cures for things like the flu or cancer. He always wanted to follow in her foot steps, and that's what he's doing. It also helps that he has an above average IQ.
At the age of twelve he helped his mother with one of her jobs while she was sick with the same deadly virus she was working on. In an attempt to save his mother, he designed not only a cure but the vaccination so that people wouldn't get it again. He'd skipped grades during his time in school, and was able to get into college at the age of 16 and is well on his way to graduating early as well.
He never has figured out where his father is or why he left his mother. He knew that he left right when he found out she was pregnant, but he never knew why. He found children a joy to be around and would volunteer at a local orphanage just to play with them. He found that time always flew by when playing with these kids. He just hoped they had as much fun as he has.
