Vague Intro...

For hundred of years, piracy has been a myth. To the modern man and women, this was a crime worse anything imaginable. But, as rebelion was quelled and resistance turned to ash, the nation's navy became the true pirates. Installing port taxes, weight taxes, random cargo checks and seizure. Yes, the navy itself was the true pirate. There was no mercy on the sea, if the sudden squalls didn't kill you, the navy would seize the hard-earned cargo of any merchant vessel.

The time for rebellion has come, all those that had been mistreated and opressed, every person that had been abused, tehy would become the resistance, they would be the army, they will bring law back to the sea.


Side Notes...

To everyone who likes a good detailed story: I made this very vague because I wanted it to be player-fueled, with their own ideas.
Please, try to keep Pirates of the Carribean out of this. It's a good saga and all, but I want this to be realistic for the time period and mechanics.

This doesn't have to be perfect in any way, just the basics. The characters will be revealed in greater detail as the story progresses.

Rules...

--No godmodding, if you're in a battle, don't just kill everyone without a scratch, make it realistic. If you're 100 pound street urchin fighting a 300 pound bouncer, you won't win. Or, if you're a cabin boy and you fight a highly trained naval officer, you will either die, become crippled, or piss yourself and run.
--The time period is before the gunpower age, so the only truly common ranged weapon is a bow
--Like I said in the character skeleton, let's try not to have everyone be a teenager, I want a slew of different ages
--Make sure you take a good look at the setting, I don't want a sailor being a perfect cavalry horseman...
