When it comes to Sofia, she is two different people. There is Sofia Wolfgang, and then there is "Little Red." First, lets talk about the latter.
While working with, or sometimes even for, her family, Sofia has adapted a different persona and quickly gained a name from the streets: name out of fear rather than respect. Little Red. It was a play on her family name Wolfgang and the child story about little red riding hood, but Sofia played into it when she started wearing a modified wolf skull mask and eventually adapting a red jacket when doing any sort of gang and family business. With the mask on, Sofia was a more manic, similar to the way Harley Quinn was in the batman comics. She will often speak with a soft kind tone but quickly change into bit of a psychotic nature; laughing while conducting business, tilting her head with a wicked smile when others are more serious, and skipping around and not caring about others and just having "fun." Sofia's mother is often the only one to calm her down, her words coming after a smack to the back of the head. Her parents are okay with their only daughters behavior, but slowly want to guide her to being the heir she was born to be.
After the mask comes off though, Sofia seems to change into a different person, as if the mask is the reason she is so "crazy" and taking the mask off frees her from the madness. When it comes to her family, Sofia is one to always be involved and making sure they are okay, often sacrificing her own needs and emotions for them. Though being raised by three brothers also has toughen her up a bit, learning to not let people walk over you and to stand up for yourself. With her friends, Sofia is one of the first ones to loosen up and have fun, often seeing this as a way to be "normal" away from all her family business. Most people know her last name and will treat Sofia differently than the normal person, which she enjoyed alot of the time, but sometimes she just wanted to get away.
Lastly, there's the other part of Sofia, the persona that is more of a branch off who she is when the mask is off. The Sofia she feels like around Leon. After the two met, Sofia felt a connection with him. A feeling that was different than the rush of being Little Red, a feeling that was different than the freedom of being Sofia Wolfgang. She wasn't sure if this was love, lust, or her just being dumb, but she thoroughly enjoyed being with him and would sneak off to meet up with him as much as she could when her family wasn't keeping an eye on her. Plus it seemed like he didn't care, or maybe didn't know, about Sofia's family, and she wholly appreciated this, but she wasn't about to ask him about this.
The Wolfgang family wasn't always prominent in Roseville, but matriarchal gang has been a name throughout city for as long as anyone could remember. The Wolfgang family first fled their home country when the plague of wars spread across their home. There the name Wolfgang meant something, but they knew they had to leave and try anew rather than try to outlive the war. And what better place than the Land of Opportunity? At first there were talks to change their life styles, but slowly realized that old habits die hard, and they were best situated to try to rule the city they had just sailed to and to get ahead once again. Their families joined under her mother's name, Wolfgang, and quickly took control of the city, but never able to take over more than half. Right when they would gain ground somewhere, they would lose influence somewhere else.
Sofia mother, Gisela, was the eldest, and now only surviving, daughter of the Wolfgang family when she took over, after falling in love with Maximus, a boy who only started off as a getaway driver for the family but quickly caught Gisela's eye when they were young. Together they took over the reins of the gang, pushing it harder than it had in many years, wanting to prove the Wolfgang was the only name to be known. Together they had three sons before finally having a daughter. The sons were raised the same, rough hardships and earning the respect to have the name Wolfgang. While Sofia's raising was a bit softer as they knew she would be hopefully taking over one day. But Sofia saw how others in the gang were treated and trained and envied them, eventually convincing her parents to allow her to do what her brothers had gone through, though it wasn't easy.
It wasn't long before Sofia was out doing business for the family, and a young girl in red became a menace in Roseville, earning the name Little Red. It wasn't long before people found out she was the daughter of the gang bosses, as people were surprised the next heir was so active in gang, though they always assumed something was wrong with her mentally as they only knew the bosses' daughter as Little Red, no one outside of her immediate family knowing her true name.
Though Sofia did have a life outside being Little Red. One day while she was in the rival gang territory of the Holloway family, she ducked into a coffee shop to avoid someone who might recognize her. The chances were low since she always wore a mask, but were not zero. She sat beside a handsome boy doing something on his laptop and quickly made conversation. Sofia clicked with this boy and he seemed to click back with her, and the two started seeing each other. Sofia was a bit scared of showing this boy into his family, thinking he wasn't ready to find out who she truly was, but also he never tried to introduce her to his, so she didn't mind. Though the next chapter in both of their lives would be chaotic, and could've been avoided if they only knew who the other person truly was.
