Introduction
Story.
It is now twenty years into King Arthur's reigne, but still there are those who wish to have more power... the young sorcress thought as she climbed the stone stairs of the eastern most tower. She had to get away, she just had to get there and stop him. She only had a little bit more to go, but it seemed so far away now. But it was only to be expected, the huge gash that ran across her abdomen throbbed. She had trusted him, but he had betrayed her. All he wanted was to get closer to me, weaken my guard to get to the Mystic Mirror... She finally reached the top of the stairs and staggered up right. The door was open by just a sliver. Collapsing into the door, it swung open, she shouted out to him. He turned around to meet her gaze. Using the last of her strenght the summoned a portal to the Void. A black swirling black hole erupted and disturbed the air, threatening the balance of things. She sagged to the ground, this is the end... She watched as he struggled to not be sucked in. Her eyes closed for the last time as she saw him loose his battle...
...I'm right behind you...
The nineteen year old girl walked down the side walk of the new city that she had just moved into. She had decided that she need a new pace from the boring scene of unpacking. Earlier that morning she had come across her box of spiritual items; tarot cards, candels, crystals and amulets...she hadn't realized just how low on incense she was. So she was trying to find the shop with in the local area.
She had finally found the address that she had found on the internet. She breathed a sigh of relief. She took a deep breath and stepped in. Looking around she didn't see the shop keeper anywhere, so she decided to look around at what all was in the stock for merchandise. As she walked down along the far wall she came across the most beautiful elaborate mirror, encased in a sliver frame. She reached out a hand to feel it. For the breifest of instances she thought that she saw some one just behind her, an old man. She turned around and saw that no one was there. When she turned back to the mirror it too was empty but her. She went to turn around and continue on with her looking, she saw it out of the corner of her eye, an old wrinkled hand reached out and grabbed her arm. She screamed out, but no one came.
Waking up on, she saw that she in a strange room, one that she had never seen before. She recalled that she was in a spiritual shop, and was dragged into a mirror. She got up in a kneeling position and looked around, finally in the corner of the room, her eyes came to rest on an old man. He claimed that he was Merlin, and that he had been protecting the mirror after the preivous guardian. And that upon glancing in it, he saw her, he was so surprised by her resembalance to some one who had just died not two years before. And as a result had brought her here.
The girl didn't believe any of it, she got up and walked over to the mirror, the same mirror that she had touched. She looked through it and saw the shop, she banged on the glass. She hadn't realized her strength and broke the mirror. The shards glowed and flew away. The girl asked what happened, hysterically. Merlin told her that her way home was now destroyed.
In a fit of rage, the girl didn't realize that in the center of the room, a black vortex was errupting. Merlin shouted out to her, asking her to calm down. She could dimly feel his hands on her, shaking her to snap out of it. When she finally looked up she saw that a young man in armour was stepping out, he looked furious. When he was completely out the vortex faded.
He looked to the frame of the mirror and saw it shattered. He turned to look at her, glaring. Flinching away the girl was terrified. The young man unsheathed his sword and pointed the pointed tip of the blade to her. "You did this...First sealing me away, now this?" The girl didn't know what he was talking about. Merlin looked complexed, but when she looked questioningly to him he explained.
Whe he saw her in the mirror she looked so much like his daughter, the young sorceress who had been left in charge of guarding over the Mystic Mirror. She had fallen in love with the young man, but was betrayed. Before she died, she sealed him away into the Void. Merlin believed the girl to be his daughter's reincarnation.
However upon hearing that 'he betrayed the young sorceress', he completely flipped out. He didn't know a thing that the old man was saying and got really angry. So there was a mistake there?
Merlin said that in order for the girl to get back home, to her own time, she would have to gather the shards of the mirror. But she wasn't strong enough, or have the right mind set to do it on her own. The young man wanted nothing to do with it, but still Merlin put a spell on the two to join up and find them. But how can it go smoothly when they have such polar opposites.
Characters Needed.
The Knight - The young man who was once in love with the young sorceress. He's forced to team up with the young girl to find the shards of the Mystic Mirror, so that she can get back home.
Merlin - An advisor for the two on any knowledge that they might need, the wizard of King Arthur.
Knights of the Round Table - Mentors to the knight and the young girl.
King Arthur - The king of Camelot.
Extras.
Camelot. A place that was only supposed to have existed in fairy tales during the Celtic times. The land turned from desolate to prosperous. Everyone is treated fairly and with equality. The round table is in existence, and everyone’s opinions are taken into account.
Dragon Country. A place within the Forbidden Forest where Dragons live in relative peace. There are some dragons that can talk (telepathically), and some that have two heads or more.
The Forbidden Forest. A forest where mystical creatures live in peace from the mortals. Vegetation has a mind of its own.
The Book Of Beasts. A book that can give anyone the power over any creature, but if it falls into the wrong hands, it could spell destruction for the rest of the world.
The Mystic Mirror. A magical mirror that can transport one from one time to another. Whoever is in possession of it can deviate the future, and it also gifts them with enormous power. Because it’s been shattered, it can give anyone who has the mirror shards great power.
The Void.An empty black space, a place of terrible loneliness.
Inspiration
This plot line was inspired from Inuyasha and Arthurian Legends.

"My greetings to you aswell Sir Lionheart. And please, do not fret; I know how much the lady is new to the land." Corwin said inclining his head in return. He then turned his gaze to her; "Hello Evangeline, how's the hand? Still a bit stiff?" He asked with an amused grin.

Evangeline's eyes just about popped out of her head and she gave a small 'eep' before quickly hiding behind Yashie again. "He knows my name! How does he know my name?! And--" but then she quickly looked down at her hand and remembered that it was still the soiled bandages from the evening before. "What are you a psychic?!" She called over to him. Corwin raised an eyebrow at her. "Our paths have crossed a multitued of times throughout the past couple days. I seem to remember one night I actually told you to get some fresh dressings for your wound due to how unsanitary your dress has become." He then returned his gaze to Yashie; "Also, I have noticed that your mannors to the young lady are rather speculative, though you do hold a great deal of concern for her mortal well-being."
Corwin was loving every moment of this; he loves being able to come out of nowhere and confuse random strangers. Then he remembered something the girl had said. Looking back to her, he asked; "Did you say 'Merlin?'"

Yashie shrugged. "You'll notice he has a nice sharp sword. Hence, I'm nice to him. You on the other hand, don't. You see, this is basic diplomacy." He laughed softly and patted her on the head. "No seriously, It'd be a good guess to say he's been following us ... not too well, mind. This would probably explain the excess noises and such that I've been putting down as having been caused by the local wildlife...." He turned to Corwin. "And I'm sure the man has a good reason WHY he's been following us and I'm sure he'll tell us now." His voice was only slightly threatening and his hand strayed to the hilt of his sword.

Corwin's amusement quickly died at the same instant the knight's voice grew slightly threatening. That was to be expected, but the gesture of moving his hand to his sword was an insult. "You have no idea as to how nice and sharp my sword is, nor the skills of whom you're talking to." Corwin's voice was still level, but he managed to get an ice cold chill running through his words. "Besides, it was as I had said; our paths have crossed in the past several days." He glanced back to the girl, "He means well," he said to her. Then looking back to him, he gave him a calm look. "Is it truly necessary to do this in front of the lady? I mean, we're civilized people, are we not?"

Yashie shrugged. "I'm going to assume your sword is sharp enough and your skills are good enough, of course. And also, 'paths being crossed' is ... quite a polished way of putting it. I just thought that the lady should hear your reason as to following us, of course. Don't you agree?" Yashie took a step forward, planting himself directly between Evangeline and Corwin. "Of course, of course, sir. We are all civilized people here. So why don't you tell us, in a civilized manner? I'm quite eager to hear what you have to say!"

Giving him a look that was neither distrust or hatred, Corwin managed to keep his cool. "Is it for the lady's ears, or yours?" Corwin asked. "If memory serves, the lady had demanded something of me upon meeting. That would thereby mean that you two have been following me to proclaim that which does not belong to you, and take it rather forcibly? And judging from the mannor in which you speak, you very well intend to harm me regardless of my answer, is that not true?" Corwin narrowed his eyes at the man. "All I say is that you should bear in mind that you do not want to make enemies. Especially not with me..."

Yenhand raised an eyebrow. "Technically, said something actually belongs to us. In a way. And ... There would be no call for forcible taking. I thought you said we were all civilized? Surely, civilized people have no cause for forcible taking of stuff, am I right? Besides, I have no call to harm you ... or even attempt to. It's pointless. We just want to talk to you for just a short while, if you're willing. We'd also like to know why you were following us, of course."

Corwin shook his head in amusement. "If you have no wish to harm me, why, might I ask, does your hand remain upon your weapon?" He asked raising an eyebrow. "I understand that instinctively, when a stranger comes, you react. But that stranger has made no attempt to reach for his weapon until long after he has been noticed. I ask you again; If you mean me no harm in any way, why do you remain ready to strike?" Attempting to show good faith, he laid his life on the line by removing his hand from Grayswandir; leaving himself somewhat deffenseless.
Shaking his head again, he looked straight into the man's eyes. "And as for your question," he said, "I was travelling in the same dirrection as the two of you, and I could 'easily' hear you." He put as much emphasis as he could on the word. "I was on the defense, and was making sure that there was no threat to my well being."

Evangeline had a feeling that this was going to last a while. She sat down on the ground and pulled her cloack more closely about herself, before leaning leaning her head into one hand. "Well, this is going to be amusing," she said. "At least there was something different then there was about an hour ago." She watched the two bicker for quite some time before she released a sigh and got back up. "Well, gentleman, I believe that is quite enough sniviling for one day, don't you agree? Even though I do think that it would be good for Sir Yashie to fight, I think I've been ruffling his tail feathers for one moment too long and it would do him good to get that frusteration out. However," she then turned to Corwin, "we're going to need that shard of glass that you carry, please." She ephasized the please to make sure that both Corwin knew that she was the most civilized of them all, and to Yashie so that he would take the hint to be somewhat nicer. She held out her hand again. "Trust me, I'm tempted to just leave right now so that you two could just fight. Because there is just too much testostrone in the air for me."

Corwin took his eyes away from the knight to look at the woman. "And if I were to hand over said shard, then that would terminate our charming conversation." He said, slightly teasing her, and attempting to lighten the knight's mood. "I can see that I am obviously distrusted here, but what happens when the time comes and you need a third pair of hands?" he asked inquisitively. Deciding that he had to let both of them make up their minds as to their next course of action, Corwin used his thumb to point over to a somewhat nearby tree. "I'll let you two talk for a bit; im going to go make some tea... should either of you care for any, I offer it freely." And with that, Corwin headed off to start a small fire to boil some water.

Yashie put his helm on the ground and sat down next to it. "I suppose, I'll ask someone who I know well to assist us in the quest, should I need a third pair of hands. But yes, drink your tea, I'll wait right here." Shrugging, he waited for Corwin to leave before speaking to Evangeline in an aside. "Charming conversation, yes, right. I just hope he gives us the shard so we can be on our way. I shudder to think how long we'll take to gather the shards together, if each one takes us this long to collect." He sighed and leaned against her shoulder, closing his eyes tiredly.

Corwin waited until he knew that they weren't paying any special attention to him, then he took the shard of the mirror out of his pocket. I wonder what this is, really... Corwin thought, And why the woman is so desperate for it. He took a quick glance over his shoulder. Seeing that neither one of them were looking at him, he took his shaving mirror from his pack. Wrapping it up tightly in his cloak, he shattered it, Crushing it into pieces as small as the shard they claim to be rightfully theirs. He moved a larger rock from where it sat in the ground, and used Grayswandir to gouge a hole into the ground. Filling it with the shards from his shaving mirror, he removed one from the pile and pocketed it. Piling the dirt back on top, he covered it again with the rock; removing all traces of his mischief. Obviously this has some importance, he thought, lets see why. Glancing over his shoulder, his was glad to see that neither one of them realized what he had done. He went about getting several small branches to start his little fire to boil some water.

Evangeline looked over toward Corwin. I hope he isn't trying to trick us... She didn't know why, but she just had the hunch that he was, though she obviously couldn't be sure or prove it. She could still see the sparkling-glimmer. Her eyes never strayed from it as she whispered that she knew exactly where it was that he was keeping it.

Ok, Yashie; Hydro and i have to apologize. we were trying to figure out how to work the chat program in a way so that only the two of us were chatting without random strangers... and in doing so there were several messeges that popped up in the activity log... Hydro has deleted the messeges, but i think the.... things... that hold the posts have to stay there... just figured we should explain to you why we f*cked up the rp.... our bad!

In my humble opinion, it would be more realistic if Evangeline and Yashie began together and the others joined in as the two characters went alone. But either way should work.

Well Yashie and I will be together obviously. Just let me try to get a few more people to join, first. I'll post a thing in the roleplayers wanted thread and see if we can lure more. And the rest of you....i haven't really thought about that yet. what would you guys think?

This sounds like a very interesting RP. But I'm not 100% sure what the plot is. Is it just your character trying to get home, through this Mirrow that we have to travel the relm of Camelot and put together and said Knight (me i think?) helping you?
