Setting
Jeremy went ahead and left to his "apartment", a little shack on the slums of the human city. He was depressed; he was a lot of the time. Deciding that he had done enough for the day, he drank himself to sleep with his finest elven wine.
He found a small shack. It was a terrible neiborhood, filled with, Half breeds, and un desirables,But orders are order. He knocked on the wooden shack door.
He went as quickly as he could to the fight. He saw what he expected; a goliath, a massive lumbering orc, getting shot by humankind at the border of the city. He was incredibly happy for this, for his bow was possibly the humans' best weapon against these meat tanks. He ran up to a rooftop, and turned a small knob on the bottom of his bow, and saw his bow's glyphs change from a bright yellow to a ghostly pale white. Perfect; even though Cortez hated him, he appreciated the craftsmanship of this multi-tool bow. Enchanted with powerful magic capable of changing frequency, he can make his bow shoot multiple projectiles, allow for rapid-fire, or (Jeremy's favorite) spectral projectiles, capable of piercing any inorganic material. He slowed his breathing, and pulled his bow, eyes set on the goliath's chest.
He fired once, and saw the orc take the hit with much satisfaction. The massive lumbering oaf flinched significantly, his entire body being pushed back a few inches as the ghostly bolt ignored his plates completely and hit him square in his vitals. Fueled by his hatred for orcs, he drew his bow again and shot again, this time leaving a spectral bolt lodged in the goliath's knee. He saw the monster fall over, the humans now advancing over him with more intensity. With one last arrow, he pulled and left a hole in the tank's skull.
He could tell the humans were surprised. The goliath crumpled over, and fell over with a disturbingly loud THUD. His work done, he left the rooftop and went back home for a celebratory drink.
His bow was very drained from his most recent assault, so he recalibrated it to its most basic setting: silent shots. Not nearly as cool as piercing 2-feet thick plates, but effective. He was sent with a few other people, all human of course. He was the only half-blood in the human army; he wondered where other half-bloods ended up.
After a rather tiring walk on foot to the mine, they finally made it. Jeremy led the group, for he was instinctively stealthy and required this to get as close as possible to the mine without being spotted. At one point, he made the rest of the squad wait for him; he needed them to leave if he was going to achieve sneaking in undetected.
Slowly, but surely, he snuck through the orcs surrounding the mine. Clearly, they wanted to mine here, but why risk wasting their mammoth and leaving their base undefended for it? After hours of snooping, he realized why; iron, tons of iron were being dug out. This much iron could be enough to prepare a few goliaths for battle! He left without a trace, and decided to take his squad out for some fun.
They ran for the empty orc camp. They destroyed every tent, robbed them of their rations and weapons, and torched their little community. Jeremy enjoyed this, oh so very much; after the place was annihilated, he went back to the human city and let Cortez know of their actions and what they learned.
Jacob Liam came into the room apon mentioning his name. He was wearing T-97c power armor. Standard. He also had a Mark 12 auto rifle, one of the few weapons with rapid fire shooting. He saluted to Cortez. He had a radioed voice so people can hear him from his helmet. "Its a honor to do this mission Cortez" Jacob said with honor. Cortez looked at Jeremy. "you listen to him when your in the mine, Any questions?"
