It started out harmless enough. Five teenage boys were exploring a research facility, not knowing it had once been used to research the reanimation of the dead. An argument ensued, and one of the boys was pushed. He hit against a switch that activated a green laser beam, which struck a cemetary a mile away. The boys ran away from the facility, but the damage was done. Within moments, the dead rose from their graves and entered Manhattan.

The zombies attacked, and within a month, 95% of the state of New York was undead. The military could do nothing to stop it, so the President implemented Plan K. This called for the city to be sealed with a quarantine, then later, to be bombed savagely by the Air Force. Survivors have three weeks to escape the city before it is sealed off.
