The Dark Mountain Pack and the White Night pack have been rivals for centuries. The two biggest packs in North America always compete against one another because of the jealousy the White Night Pack has towards the Dark Mountain Pack because they are stronger then White Night. Their territories border each other's, the only thing separating them is neutral ground by the Peace Valley River. Every ten years each pack allows their unmated wolves to go into the neutral lands were the Elder wolves of each pack plan a dance of sorts. This dance is only for one night but it usually only takes moment's for mates to find one another. But what event's will take place this year? Because not only to the wolves have to worry about finding their mates but rumor's are Rouge wolves are starting to gather on the edge's of the USA border and are planning an attack on both packs.

||Dark Mountain Pack||
The Dark Mountain pack is the strongest and most feared pack in the werewolf world. Their territory span's all across Canada, ending at the USA border and Alaska. These wolves are known for their dark and dangerous ways, killing anyone who trespasses onto their territory, never being beaten in a war. The main reason they are such a threat is because not much is known about the pack, not even the location of their village with is located in the Rocky Mountain's, deep within and hidden from the outside world. This is modern day so they do have all modern day technologies. This pack is also one of the richest in the world because they have around 1500 wolves that all work in the human world for a living, most owning their own businesses. The usual color's found in this pack is dark brown, light brown, grey and black but the only wolf with pitch black fur is the Alpha. This pack is also known for their Alpha because they say he is heart-less, cold and cruel.
|| White Night Pack||
The White Night pack is the second biggest pack in the werewolf world. Their territory cover's all of Alaska. These wolves are known for their riches and fame mostly. Their numbers reach around 800 wolves and unlike the Dark Mountain pack they live in a relatively local part. Their village is located near the Peace Valley River. Like all pack's each wolf has a human job they do for that is what make's their fund's and like in all pack's the Alpha is the manager of the pack's money. Most of these wolves are jealous and angry at the Dark Mountain pack because of how much land they had taken away from the White Night pack, who's territory use to spread down to Alberta before the Dark Mountain pack took over. The usual color's found in this pack is red, white, silver and grey, no wof in this pack has black fur.
||Peace Valley River: Neutral Territory||
Nothing special about this area. Its the size of five football fields and has a mess hall where they host the dance, a small human town with store's and place's to eat then cabin's for people to stay in. Each unmated pack member has to pack a bag of items then arrives in the morning and choses a cabin to stay in. The dance starts at 6:00pm, supper is included. After the dance is over you go back to your cabin, or the cabin your mate is in, then leave the next morning with your mate.
||Werewolves||
Werewolves are being's that can shift between human and a horse sized wolves. In human form every wolf has the ability of super strength, speed and agility, the higher the ranking the more powerful they are. It also depends on their bloodlines, purebreds, which are rare, being stronger then mixed, very common, they also have enhanced senses like sight, hearing and smell. All wolves seem to have a hot temper and when they are angry in wolf form their wolf instincts will fight to take over which makes their eyes shift from their normal color to a bright gold orange. In wolf form werewolves are around the size of horse's, again ranking and bloodlines come into effect in size, and are stronger and faster then normal wolves. Each pack of wolves can communicate through a mental link. Each wolf can find their mate at the age of 16, when their wolf is fully mature. All pack's have village's where most of the pack lives, but some ranking less wolves will live in human population's to work. Each werewolf has their own home but the Alpha stays in the pack house where everyone is welcomed and meetings and gatherings are held there.
||Mates||
A mate is also known as a soulmate. Every wolf has one. Legend has it that soulmates were created when the god Zeus split a two headed wolf in half, splitting the souls apart and banished then to different corners of the world. Feeling pity for the lost souls the Goddess Artemis made s that these to souls were forever connected and that once they found each other their souls would reconnect. How you find your mate is simple really. First you will smell them for their scent with be something you favor example being cherries and chocolate, their scent will draw you in your wolf will urge you forward to follow your instinct's. Once you make eye contact with your mate both of the pair's eyes with gleam silver for a moment, this makes the connection. When you or your mate touch is will feel like spark's are dancing along your skin comforting you. Not all mates fall in love instantly. Mates have the ability to telepathically talk to one another, they feel each other's pain if there is alot, they can feel each other's emotions and are able to calm each other whenever they are near each other. The downside to mate's is that the male becomes protective and possessive of the female and to which the female can be back to him, also when one mate dies the breaking of the link is so painful the other mate ends up dying as well.

Once they had reached their destination Lucian was the first off the bus. His loyal pack sat patiently, waiting for him to make his leave before they to could exit the bus. So Lucian made quick work of grabbing his bag and getting off, his pack mates quickly following after him. With one quick glance around the area he noted that not only was the place nice to look at but also that the rival pack was also there. Lucian suppressed a growl that was building deep in his throat as he caught the scent of the other Alpha, instantly becoming protective of his pack. He took in a deep breath to calm himself, then sensed a presences making its way over to him.
"Hello Alpha Hunter, I am Mrs.Striker, I have just come to inform you that you are in cabin nine" the woman said polity and she slightly bowed her head before leaving. Lucian took no interest in her appearance for one she was married and two somewhere in this mix is his mate. The thought unsettled him, impatience and wary, jumbling together in a ever present brew, making him anxious. Though of course he didn't let these feelings show, for on the outside he looks at cold and stoic as ever. Lucian just growled quietly to himself before making his way to his cabin. Once he arrived he quickly to took laptop out of his bag and sat down at the small table, knowing he still had plenty of time before the dinner, he started to work on a few contracts and pack problems.
But even with this distraction his mind still wandered and his wolf instincts yearned to find his mate.
