Late in the 31st century humanity finally escaped Einstein's cage with the help of the giant ring shaped engines of the Node Drive. It gave us the power to jump to the nearest star at many times the speed of light. It took us years to build Earth's first colony ship the Nova Maria and soon it was loaded down with our best and brightest, ready to set out into a universe we had long ago decided was devoid of sentient life.

Someone should have told that to the Hivers. They came in silence, no statement of intention, no declaration of war, without even a demand for our surrender they fell on us, and soon all our hopes for peaceful expansion where so many burning meteors falling to Earth. We barely survived the Hiver Invasion. Now ten years have passed and Earth is becoming more like the Hiver home-world.

However humanity has building up for all those years. Now we are ready to take back our world.

Hivers:
These insect like aliens have between six and eight limbs. Most Hivers are genderless workers of warriors. worker stand between 5' and 6' tall and are adept at using various tools and simple weapons. Warriors are between 7' and 8' tall and are more humanoid then the workers. Male Hivers called princes stand 10' to 12' tall and seem to be the Hiver equivalent of officers. No one has seen a female Hiver, but they must be important because in battle Hiver soldiers attack women first.

Hiver weapons include plasma rifles, and other high energy weapons.
