Flynn Had been looking around the immediate area around his house for a few days. The meteor had caused a lot of destruction around the country when it hit, he had watched the news reports while they had still been running. But now that the power had gone out he had no idea how civilization was fairing. He suspected many places looked like the Fallout game series, just without the mutant creatures. Luckily he didn't need to go hunting any time soon unless he wanted something specific, the animals had moved away from the immediate area as far as he could tell. Things are going to be difficult from now on, he thought to himself.

Right now he was running across rooftops of the nearest town. His house was set in the forest that went up into the mountains closest to the town. His house was a ten hour drive away and he had walked all the way to the town needing to see what kind of state it was in, if anyone was still alive. So here he was running atop the roofs of building for a better view of everything, carrying everything he needed to camp out for five days and hoping to find someone that wasn't hostile. He had run into a person that tried to kill him about an hour ago. He shot the man in the gut twice with arrow, retrieved it and left the guy, thankful he had taken his compact bow out of its carrying case in case he ran into trouble.

As Flynn ran across the tops of the buildings he noticed he was near a rather small forest, probably a hiking trail. He stopped to catch his breath and look around at his surroundings. He set his backpack on the ground and sat down at the edge of the roof he was on. Some buildings were mostly intact, others half destroyed, most boarded up. Then he noticed something in the small forest a short distance in at a small clearing. It was a group of people gathered together and talking. "Well this is interesting..." he muttered aloud. He decided it would be better not to announce himself. He was in plain view, even from where they were, if they were hostile he could easily get away. Flynn sat watching the people gathered in the woods, holding his bow in his lap with an arrow nocked just in case, waiting to see how things played out.

Maple looked around, following the other girl's lead. "Yeah...yeah I kinda do." She heard a bird caw from the trees and looked towards it. Right above the treeline, the city could be seen. Maple covered her eyes from the sun. Something was on top of that building. "Hey. What building is that? The yellow brick one closest to us?"

Flynn watched the group of people gathered together as he sat on the roof of the two story, yellow brick building. He sat as still as a gargoyle, barley even breathing, as the rain came down on him thunder rumbled in the background. He disliked the rain but sometimes getting stuck in it was unavoidable, plus he liked storms. "In the head, not the chest, headshots are the very best. In the head, not the chest, headshots are the very best..." He whispered this to himself out of slight boredom. Then he noticed two girls under an umbrella looking around with unease. First one looked in his direction and said something to the other, then the other girl looked towards him. The second girl to look his way spoke to the other and started walking in the direction of the building he was perched on. "The game is afoot." There was a rumble of thunder and a flash of lightning off in the distance and Flynn smiled.

Max watched Neru and Maple talking to each other. Then he saw Neru leave. Odd. Out of curiosity, Max followed her and readied to rapid-fires and his night-vision gear. It felt like another game of Counter Strike, except easier. Seeing that no one else has noticed him, he entered and disappeared from the outside. If anyone was going to hurt his friends, they would have to go through him.

"One shot, one spot, one dead body, one more addition to my body count..." he told himself before proceeding.

Max spotted Neru for a few seconds and darted to her direction. Dang. He saw her climb the building with ease. He knew he couldn't do that, so he decided to go the old fashioned way: the stairs. He went to the building's side and frantically searched for a staircase. Upon seeing one, he ran towards it and climbed it, placing his guns into his bag. As he was at least three feet off the ground, he felt the weight of his bag.

"Now how many guns did I pack in this thing, again?" he asked himself. Shrugging, he carried on to getting to the rooftop.

Flynn watched as the girl approached the front of the building. He noticed one of the guys from the group following a short distance behind her. "Well now, this should be interesting." He turned his attention back to the girl. She was now climbing up the front of the building. He watched this all from the corner of his eye. Next thing he knew, the girl was atop the not too far from him and couched much like a cat, two knives held defensively in her hands. "Who are you..?" He didn't answer her, watching instead the boy that had followed her run around the side of the building and out of sight. Only then did he turn abruptly towards the girl. "My name's Flynn. Flynn Norak." He stood up on the raised edge of the roof and bowed slightly to her, figuring politeness should never be forgotten but a handshake was too risky considering the circumstances. More thunder and lightning went off, slightly closer than before. Flynn looked at the lightning flash and smiled.

At this point in time, Max has reached the roof tops. He checked his bag if he had anything for protection. For some reason, he was able to fit a shield in his bag, along with a machine gun, his AK-47, a couple of rifles, and his night-vision goggles. No matter. He prepared his shield and a revolver and headed for whatever he was searching for. When he stood up straight, he noticed the thunderstorms that would come.

"Great..." he told himself, "...I wonder if she brought my umbrella?"

As Flynn stood on the roof he could hear ever so slightly over the rainfall, the sound of metallic objects knocking against each other and some talking. Then the girl next to him asked him a question that made him raise his eyebrows. He turned to the girl, she was sitting on her knees and her hands were shaking a bit. "Spying? Damn, you make it sound like I'm out to kill you. I'm observing a group of people to see if they are hostile. Reconnaissance is the word." He thought for a moment. Then he stepped off the raised edge of the roof. "Those knives look rather uncomfortable to hold, So how about we put down our weapons." He then removed the arrow from his compact bow and put then both back in the carrying case. He stood and turned towards the girl. "By the way, you never introduced yourself. Quite rude."

Max watched the two from afar. "Great," he told himself, "now I'm spying on them." In any similar or exact case, his riot control shield is useless. He placed it back in his bag (?!) and placed his pistol in one of his pockets. Now, due to his carefulness, he knew most of his pants' front pockets had guns in them, but it seemed handy. He stood up straight and made himself visible.

"Greetings, Flynn," he said in a calm tone, "I guess this is not a place for nice introductions, but my name is Max."
