a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by Moonscar

Description

The image is not mine. It will be taken down if asked.

Age/Date of Birth: 26, December 18th

Gender: Female

Race/Ethnicity: Avrelle/Pakechan

Appearance: Avia is a tall woman with a very ample figure and a tiny waist. Her curves are radical, and she is prone to wearing clothing that only exaggerates the fact. Her hair is now long enough to touch her knees, though she normally wears it up in an extravagant bun held by red chopsticks, or she has it loose around her shoulders. She has an abundance of scars that she hides with a skillful amount of carefully applied makeup. Her favorite color seems to be red, as that is the most popular color seen in anything she wears and owns.

One other thing about Avia. Her bones are hollow and slim, and there are many other little factors that go into her weight, which, surprisingly, only adds up to a stunning seventy pounds. Impossible?
Quite.

Equipment/Weapons:

-PinKnives: Exactly as they sound, they are hair pins. Shiny, silvery things. Very pointy. They are also throwable knives.

-The Quellazaire: An odd weapon? Perhaps, but for Avia, it comes in handy, especially with a pack of "special" cigarettes, made only for assassination purposes. Poison smoke works wonders.

-Avrillian Longsword

History

Avia, young as she is, has lived many lives.

Not literally, but the experiences she has lived through may as well make the statement true. Once an assassin, raised by none other than her parents in the art of murder, she was put into a group of children raised the same as herself. The sons and daughters of a forbidden art, used to raise money to clear the debt of their guardians. Their leader was Ateles, a young man who had come from a town far away, unlike the rest of them, who had grown up together. Upon first meeting them, Avia's family hated him. She hated him, too.

However, as time went on, and events passed, she found a fondness in him that she found in no other man.

This was probably the worst choice she could have ever made in her life, for when the assassination group was found out, they scattered, and Ateles disappeared. While they all regrouped, he did not come back. Caitus, Lycaon, Vipera, they all said he was dead. He would have come back by now if he was not dead. He would have found them, but no. He never came back. He had died.

In the following years, what was left of the group kept in contact, but went their separate ways. Avia had always been a dancer and an entertainer, tricking men into her favor before she poisoned their drinks and fled. Because of this, she joined a traveling circus to make money and get away from the law enforcement back in her homeland. She traveled worlds. She stayed in the circus for seven years, and in those seven years, her boss, a short, greasy, fat Frenchman, became more fond of her. She grew into a strong woman, and he admired that...however, she did not admire him. She tried to escape once she had paid off her dept, but with the help of various bodyguards, detained her and bound her to himself using magic. A tattoo of a gnarled magnolia tree, made up of the words of her contact, was printed on her skin, from her temple to her knee.

Somehow...she escaped. She fell into the lake and was saved by a brawler mage, Paul, and his dragon, Ichiro.

Months after, she found herself drinking in Gambit's bar with Drakus Flavaar. He offered her a job, which she desperately needed. A job as a dragon keeper. It payed well. Of course, she accepted, though she was rightly drunk at the time.

Another few months passed, and so did tragedies and joys at the Flavaar residence. She found out what a cheat and a lie Drakus was, first deceiving Liz, one of his researchers, when they were younger, then mourning for his wife while courting another woman. She met a man made of diamond, and his name was Daniel. She hated him at first, but, just like Ateles, events passed and time went on, she became very fond of him. There was controversy in this. Daniel was a Sith, and his master was a cruel, horrible woman called Darth Widower. The witch attempted to kill Avia, and in doing so, killed a good friend of hers, Jorin. It was around this time that she met Lumierre, an elfen princess that was friends with Drakus. Later, Avia figured out they were more than friends. She created a strong bond with the elf. They went through many trials and tears and laughter together, and they continue to do so.

After the ordeal with Widower, a dragon was born, given to Avia to take care of. Lumierre had been there, and so had Liz and Drakus. She named the dragon Ese.

Eventually, Avia rid herself of the large tattoo, but four letters from the contract would not disappear. She found, as well, that the poison and the magic that bound her to the Frenchman had not left her. Only Alrion, Drakus' brother, knows this, and he has promised never to tell a soul. They did not need to know.

Now, there is a problem with Ezrael, who is Drakus' son. Through the events that deal with him, she has met Jasenga, a curse laid onto Kenji, and also Alrion's girlfriend, Eve, and then Sie, a drow woman, and countless other people.

However, as the months and horrible events passed, the time came when the Flavaar manor burned down on Ezrael's command. Everything Avia owned was burned with it, save for a few weapons. As she rode with the companions that Drakus and Alrion had gathered, she was given the chance to take Ezrael's second form into a diamond. Sie had the first shot, but it was thrown away. She and Alrion gave Avia the chance, and she took it.

What they did not know was that the truly evil Ezrael was the original one after all. He summoned a meteor down from space to hit Terra. She and Daniel boarded his spaceship in an attempt to destroy it before it landed. The weapons did not work, but Daniel had one thing left. He had a bomb. Knowing that his chances of living were higher than Avia's if the bomb went off, he shoved her inside of an escape pod, sent her on her way with a last teary goodbye, and sacrificed himself to stop the meteor. It worked. Daniel became a dead hero.

And he left Avia to wallow and drink away a life without him.

-ah. But...it really did not work out that. Things don't tend to be that simple in Avia's life. She was not left to wallow in her apartment and mope. Ezrael haunted her dreams from the dead, scarcely allowing her rest. And, one day in a drunken stupor, he visited her waking life from the world of the living. He had somehow attained a new body. One year after his, and Daniels, death, Drakus felt the need to revive one of the Ezrael's. The one she had before imprisoned.

After that, Ezrael had come to Avia, and only trouble followed.

So begins...

"You act like I don't realize that," she snapped. She bought up one hand to her mouth and hooked a finger into the side of her lips. She looked between one of the armrests of her char and, not Adam, but Cydrok. She snorted at that. Cydrok. Who the hell was he? This was the same idiot she met months ago.

"I'm trying to figure out how. Without making a big fuss."

With a more than suspicious glance about he lent towards her again and whispered as quietly as he could, "If you can get to my robot arm, you can turn on its remote sensors, and I can break myself out of here." He thought for a moment, glancing over her... upper half and then added, "Or you could try to seduce the guard and take their key." Subtlety was not in his MO today.

"I am not going to get that arm of yours. It'll only cause more trouble than it's worth," said Avia, crossing her arms. "And I doubt seducing the guard will work. This isn't a cartoon." She sank in her chair with a huff and a click of her tongue against the roof of her mouth. If she did not get the arm, then what would she do?

"Where is it, anyway?"

Adam could only offer a shrug with hands raising in admittance of defeat there. "I don't have a clue," he said, "I wish I knew where they took my arm, as its kind of a part of me. The only other option I have is calling up my lawyers to give them hell until I get free. If they have any evidence, though, my ass could be fried. Hey you could always ask them where my arm is. I mean, they're legally holding a disabled man right now. It is my prosthetic."

#, as written by Saarai
A man stepped into the police station, waving to get the attention of someone who could help him. Anyone wearing a uniform, at least. "Hello?" The man asked, his accent vaguely Eastern European. "I am looking for Alexi Voronkova." The man said loudly, "I am looking for Alexi Voronkova!" He shouted.

"We need you to lower your voice, sir." A police officer said, approaching the man. "I will remain as loud as I want, sir. The Wing City police department is truly a wonder." The man said, "It makes us wonder why you all haven't been fired and replaced with something better. You can barely catch criminals. It makes me wonder if you can catch colds." The man taunted, detained criminals chuckling at his joke.

"You need to leave." Another officer said, moving to grab the man. Instantly the man pulled away, digging into a pocket to reveal a grenade.

"Weaponized Elysium." He said, pulling the pin on the grenade. "Once I push down on the lever we have five seconds before the big kaboom. But, as they say, a five second fuse only allows you three seconds." The man told those in the police department, his words meant more for the would-be heroes that might be getting ideas.

Outside a man stood near an electrical transformer on the street, it was the closest one to the police station. It had to be the one generating the most power to the building. The man slammed a small device onto the transformer before walking off.

There was a loud bang that followed, it was like a large firecracker had gone off. Indeed the device had exploded, piercing the transformer and damaging the electronics inside.

The power on the block and within the police station would be gone.

Back inside the police station cell doors were opened by an officer, "Be quick." He said to several men who stepped out of their cells, handing of them a key. Something was going down, that much was clear.

"You don't have long before the backups kick in." The apparently dirty officer of the law told the once locked up criminals.

"A weaponized prosthetic!" Avia hissed. "I'm not getting that arm! You're going to be too much trouble with it. I'm... sure you can deal without it, too."

Once a man began to shout something in the next room, Avia turned around with a scowl. "People can't speak loud enough, can they?" she grumbled. Once the grenade was presented, Avia stopped, then got up from her chair.

"No."

She froze, lips parted. Elysium. She knew about that drug. It messed up magic users something fierce. If that went off inside, whoever wasn't hurt initially would be fucked if it had any residual elysium floating around got to any magic users. She had one hand gripping on the back of her chair. She whipped her head around to exchange a panicked glance with Adam. She almost jumped when the lights went off, but closed her eyes and calmed down quickly. This kind of thing happened all the time. She couldn't freak out now.

"Well, Adam, it looks like we might have your ticket out of here."

A knock.

"Aiiiiiiiiiiiiya! Aiya, open the door! Right now!" shouted the woman who was, quite clearly, Avia. "Open it! Are you in there? Aiya!"

She was in a foul mood for more than one reason, and it was evident by her sharp tone.

Aiya jerked upright with fear for a moment, almost panicking until she realized it was just Avia. Her shoulders slumped downwards as she trudged for the door. Sophie on the other hand had barely tilted her head, impatiently rushing ahead of Aiya to grasp at the handle and jerk the door open. And there he was, man of the hour, hovering just behind Avia with robot arm attached and looking as disheveled as ever, Adam Noble.

"You found him?" Aiya said, honestly surprised. Sure, she didn't know the circumstances Adam was under before getting here, but she didn't think Avia would find him so soon.

Avia snorted. "Hmph. Sure. Found," she muttered as she pushed past them, sure to keep an eye on Adam lest he try something. She sat herself on a couch and crossed her legs, eyes thin as paper as she glared at the cyborg man.

If he did anything. Even one little thing... he was going to regret it with every fiber of his being. Especially when he found himself kicked out of the window.

"Uncle Cydrok!" Sophie suddenly cried out, shoving past Avia to grasp onto Adam's robot arm. The man chuckled and flexed his arm, lifting her up off the ground with a delighted squeal coming from the girl. "Long time no see munchkin," he answered back, "Still overthrowing the fleshies?"
Sophie gave an enthusiastic nod.

Aiya looked confused as anyone might, but Adam turned his attention to the adults. "So you wanted me to remove... The bomb was it?"

Avia seemed unamused. Uncle Cydrok? She didn't know why she wasn't more surprised, but... the girl was made by him, after all.

One thing did make her heart skip, however.

"Bomb!?" The woman stood up, advancing toward Adam slowly. "What... bomb?"

"Uh oh," escaped Cydrok's mouth as he straightened up and let Sophie to ground. Aiya's hands were suddenly reaching for Sophie's shoulders.
"Come on," she said, "Why don't we go into my room and you can tell me all about Uncle Cydrok." Sophie looked a little upset at being asked to leave the room, but she understood and reluctantly retreated.

"Look, I can explain," Cydrok started with his hand raised up defensively. "If you hadn't noticed Orion products had a habit of turning against us, so Walker had me put an emergency 'safety device' in her and the other one in case of a worst case scenario."

"And who has the controls to allow that to happen?" questioned Avia, stopping right in front of him. "Does anyone from Orion still have it?" She pulled close toward him. "Do you have it?"

"Orion went under, Avia. All assets liquidated and seized. All employees fired. Whoever took it has the remote. But just relax," he assured her, "I can remove it. And whatever else you wanted me to remove. Your only other option would be to find Kyle, the other android I built based off Sophie, and find out if he has it, and whoever he works for." He turned his head awkwardly down to his arm in thought.

"... so he's working for someone? Sophie's still looking for him. Did you know that?" she asked. "Adam, I swear. After all the trouble I went through today you better remove the bomb and the tracker from Sophie, tell me as much as you know about what happened after Orion shut down, and what you know about Kyle!"

"I think we're getting confused here. Kyle's not her brother. You might want to get comfortable, this is a heck of a story," he said, rubbing at his stubble. Dang he had really let himself go. He needed a shave and a shower... "So Sophie came to us as a volunteer. She used to be an android, but then she got into a tussle with some 'dumb fleshies'. From what she tells me, they used magic to teleport the blood-oil out of her body. And then they made her human. Fuck knows why anyone would do that."

He gave a shrug. "But she had nanobots in her body, ones that were meant to fix her when she got broke. Unfortunately having all the metal and robotic parts being turned into flesh and human counted as 'broke'. The nanomachines probably would have killed her if we hadn't got to her first. So I made her a body. It wasn't great, but it was something. And then they started to 'fix' that too, and improve her."

"So the corporation funding Orion Industries, who I never met, asked Walker to take advantage of this. We took another human who wanted to be a robot, made him like her and then added some of her nanobots to his body to see what would happen. From last I recall he was showing to be a very competent marksman, but then Walker died." He folded his arms.

"We never knew who Sophie's brother was other than 'Alex' and I don't know where Kyle went."

Avia's hands dropped down at her sides. Her gaze followed the movement. So much had gone on since she had left. So much happened beyond what she had seen.

"... so there's probably no easy way to find out." Avia brought a finger to her lips, tapping them. "Hm. Unfortunate." Those dark brown eyes of hers clouded, swirled, stormed. There was lightning.

They dodged up, to look into Adam's. "All I need you to do for now is remove that tracker. And the bomb." She brought the palm of one hand and cupped one of her cheeks. She gave him a slight smile. "That's it."

He chuckled, then as if expecting her to question it he stated, "I'm going to need three days to get myself a workshop set up. This is quite literally brain surgery combined with rocket science." He scratched at his nose. "In the meantime just turn the tracker off until I can remove it. That's only a short term solution, though. These things usually have redundancies just in case million-dollar equipment goes missing. But yeah, three days. That's usually how long it takes me to make a sterile workshop."

"If that's all you need me for, I'll go get started on work."

"How... do we do that?" asked Avia, edges of her lips turned down. "If I'd known it could be disabled..." She trailed off a moment, lips pursed. "I'll have you know you're also not going alone. I'm putting you under surveillance. Don't act like I can trust you on your own with technology at your disposal."

Adam rolled his eyes. "It can't be 'disabled', but Sophie can turn it on or off at will. And what, you plan to stay watching me at midnight as I weld things together?" he chuckled. "It's just not practical. Unless you really want to be my assistant." He seemed amused by the idea. "Anyway, I know of a place down on main street. Abandoned warehouse. It's been that way since a few years ago when some guy ripped a tower next door from the ground or something. It should do just fine."
