Carmen Reyes Morales

Description

Being Latina through and through, she has a medium to dark tan, and dark, almost black eyes. Has multiple piercings in her ears, and one other being her belly button. Once upon a time she was an exotic dancer, which resulted in her being extremely fit - more muscle than fat - and since leaving that profession, she's maintained her body. Being somewhat tall, standing at five feet and seven inches, she's not obscene in size, but pair it with her dirty scowl and a broken beer bottle, and she can look pretty menacing.

Personality

Eloquence; The quality of persuasive, powerful expression. This is one main trait of miss Carmen Morales. Everything she does is done with a purpose, or a meaning. Such things might not seem as such at the time, but in the long run they do. One example might be that she bangs her hand down on a table to get somebody’s attention. It may hurt at the time, but in the long run she’ll probably get the attention of the person whom she is talking to, with, or about. Another example of this, just for clarification, might be brushing a stray lock of hair out of her eyes. In the moments following it may not seem to do a whole lot, but it does in the long run. If she cannot see clearly, and there’s an attack on the hospital, she would have an immediate disadvantage. See now, she’s a typically practical person when it comes to her movements and everything she does. This doesn’t have much to do with her personal choices though, just choosing the action. Those personal choices shall come later. With her distinguishing features and a powerful family name behind her, she seems to have a sort of flowing grace and has a physical prominence.

While she does have a radiant personality, and a touch of self importance, there are many things that make up Carmen Morales. She takes the impression she makes on others and herself very seriously, and this can sometimes make her seem self centered to others. At a glance, Carmen comes off as a friendly type of person, and has a genuine and natural interest in other people. She comes across as a sociable and charming person, and has a special talent for creating an atmosphere of calm and tranquility, as well as kindness and harmony. She is willing to make many compromises to ensure that relationships run smoothly, be them friendships, or partnerships. Seeing others point of view is a specialty of hers, which makes her an incredible moderator, and a diplomat between friends. This tendency is sometimes seen by others as a reluctance to confront important matters when they arise, but it is not. When something important is going on, Carmen always has something to say or do about it. This opinionated side of her is prominent and outstanding, whereas most other parts of her are dormant and rarely seen. Being alone frightens the young woman, if only because she longs for companionship almost all the time. This doesn't mean however, that she must always be with somebody. She does enjoy her alone time to paint, write, and do other various activities.She has a fine discriminating judgment, and uses this to discern when she should compromise to make those around her happy, or when she should make a stand for what she believes in.

History

Eduardo and Iris Morales were married thirty years ago, in a private ceremony for only their closest friends and siblings. Neither parties parents arrived, due to the fact that they agreed on one thing - their children simply were not meant for each other. They were so, so wrong. It was much like the tale woven by Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet. This time though, the Capulets were the Gonzales', and the Montagues were the Morales'. Neither were extremely wealthy families, and when you delved far enough back, they swore you could find royalty. A year later, they had a bouncing baby girl, who was promptly named Carmen Morales, after her mothers favorite actress. She had dark brown hair, brown eyes, and tiny, feminine hands. The rest of her was chubby and baby-like, just as a young child should be. As a little girl, she was everything her parents could have asked for; obedient, well behaved, cleaned up her messes, went to school, and all those lovely things. To be honest, she was the apple of their eye, and always would be, even after their younger daughter would come.

She stayed at home in Venezuela for a long time, helping her mother out around the house, until she got fed up with it, and decided to start educating herself with her father's medical books. Soon, she was helping out children her age with minor things, like sprains, and bloody noses.

Nine and a half years later she received her letter from a private school in the United States, and her parents were almost tickled to death to be sending their first child off to the amazing school that had produced many an educated student. Even as a young girl, she showed much promise and intelligence. It was when they were buying her things in the market, that her parents had their first fight. What pet were they supposed to get her? They wanted to get her a dog, hoping she'd learn to become more responsible, but then if she didn't, they'd have to get rid of the animal. In the end, they decided against getting her a dog, and went ahead and got her a small kitten that Carmen promptly named Abraxas. Still, this was the first fight she'd seen her parents have, and was a little shaken up by it. Overall, it would prove to be the first of many, despite the fact that her father was rarely present and always working to keep the family in the upper classes of the world. Her family status meant little to Carmen, but her father continued at his job.

During school she made tons of friends, mostly in the popular ranking. Natalie Favre was one of them, along with her older brother, Alexander. Though they weren't in her group of drug and alcohol buddies, Natalie still hung out with her on occasion, and she formed a crush for the girl fast due to his charismatic nature, and rather dark outlook on things. They eventually had a fling during their fourth year, and Carmen slowly grew attached to the girl, though not overly so. They were an item for a while, due to their hanging out somewhat, and Carmen's drug use, but they weren't really anything. Just a fling, or that's what she was always telling herself due to the fact that she had a fear of getting her heart broken by anybody, though she had a feeling that Natalie would never do that to her, not her. Their final year rolled around and things slowly faded, and they were onto different things, different people.

Quickpaw Hurojo awakes after having been asleep for several years. Around the area was only void. It was empty. Dark. Cold. "Where... where have the spirits placed me?" He started patting his body all over; ensuring that he was corporeal. "Not dead; that's a plus." Though there was no time to lose. If he was corporeal, that likely means that he could return to the world he knew, and hopefully return to his king. He began running, hoping to find an exit to this ethereal obscurity.
