A disinherited bavarian noble, and something of a con-man, Stefan von Osten thoroughly enjoys making his way through life on little more than his rakish persona and martial skill.
A self-proclaimed ladies' man, and always on the lookout for a way to make some quick money, he is not above manipulating those who are too trusting or otherwise gullible. Stefan has a penchant for biting sarcasm and generally will ignore or insult those he deems to be 'annoying.'
Claims he is "more of a lover than a fighter." If confronted violently, he could theoretically make use of the hunting knife strapped to the side of his belt, with devastating results.
Raised in an environment of privilege, he has a taste for the finer things in life. From the age of 15 he was forced into the army to maintain his family's military tradition, wherein he found his way into the spec ops "removal squad."
His assassination training was received under the guidance of the 93rd master of the mysterious "Faceless Men" guild. He was said to be one of the greatest students in the history of the school, though no one can be found to corroborate the story.
Removed from his military post and subsequently blackballed by the gentry of his homeland after he failed an assassination mission, he lives a carefree existence with no desire to return to the stifling life of court life. He possesses an above average intelligence but only uses it for personal gain; this coupled with his egoism has perhaps lead him to a life that does not lend itself to lasting relationships. Nevertheless he has periodic lapses into nostalgia regarding the fianceΓ© he had lost back in Bavaria.
