(This is written in condensed chronological order of how he ages and evolves.)

Kynn is a Half-elf that was born as a magic Shapeshifter by Birth rite. He can turn into any form that he wishes as long as he has skin contact with the form first.

Revere Form:
This is Kynn's "True" form, often known as "The Fairy boy" because of his thin feminine looking facial features. Although the "Lightcaster" image is closer to how a normal elf would look, it was not the first form he took for himself. Kynn's real name is Lynn Granzion, but that was not the name he grew up with. Lynn was raised by a human priest that went by the name of Raleigh Revere, a man that came to the small town of Bliss to seek a life of peace. He found Lynn as a baby, and took him in to care for him as if the boy was his own child.
The village was occupied by a race known as the "Elfauna", inaccurately called the "Cat people". The Elfauna can range from looking like humans with cat ears and tails, to having goat legs and man bodies. The "Cat people" are the variation you see the most, and so the name stuck. That was the very first image Lynn laid his eyes on, and so that was the image he took for himself. He has long wild blond hair, and large blue eyes. He has a long thin tail that connects to the small of his back, and "Cat ears" on the side of his head.
In this form he looks to be about 15 years old, he stands at 5'5, and weighs about 120 lbs.
Out of all his forms, he prefers choosing forms that are small and light to sneak around and move quickly.
When it comes to clothing he wears the same as the form just below.

Lightcaster form:
He mainly chooses the form of a Elf with a floppy right ear. He has brown hair that falls over his right Eye.
He chooses to use the eyes of a cat to see better, but he may change them to something else at will. Kynn has lived for many years, but he chooses to look about 18 years old, he stands at 5'7, and weighs about 130 lbs. Although he changes how he looks, he cannot alter his clothes or items that he is wearing. So if he turns into a person or animal, he will still be dressed in the same clothes. He normally wears Black pants, a white shirt that looks almost like a martial arts Gi, and his herbal pouch on his leg that hangs from his belt. He will some times dress in his lightcaster traditional black shirt and pants with the white leather armor, but that is only for special occasions. The last item he wears is his white tattered cloak that has a black hood. He has had the cloak with him since childhood, and he never goes on an adventure without it...

*Alternate Lightcaster clothes: Aura-Ki ceremonial robes.
The order of the Aura-Ki is a division of Lightcasters that are under Kynn's command. They wear a black jump suit that covers their legs and feet and comes up to cover their chest. The arms are open and bare, like a tank top, but They wear pauldrons to protect their shoulders and upper arms. They also wear a gloved stocking that covers the knuckle part of their hands, all the way up to their biceps, with armored gauntlets to protect the top of their hands, forearms and elbows. They wear knee pads and shin guards to protect their lower legs, and the top parts of their feet. And a simple vest to keep their chest safe. Over the basic armor they wear a white sleeveless surcoat, with a silver trimming that goes along the side rims of the coat. The bottom leg part of the coat is open and split on the sides to allow freedom of movement. The silver trim is lined with magical runes that go all the way to the bottom of the surcoat.
The outfit is not magically enchanted in any way, and is very light weight; equal to studded leather armor.
It is not meant to protect, it is simply worn to show status in combat. The Aura-Ki are a powerful group of magic users, so they never have to go out on the front lines to actually have to use the armor...
Every piece in the Aura-Ki armor is all black, with white trimmings on the outside edges going all the way around to connect in a circular pattern, with an Omega symbol in the center...

Granzion form:
The Granzion form resembles the Lightcaster form, but bigger and a bit more human. He now looks to be about 35 years old, he stands at 6'1, and weighing at 220 lbs of pure muscle. He has battle scars to prove that he has seen war and won on more than one occasion, and carries himself as if he was a true leader with no fear. After fighting for so long to save his kingdom, it has now left him a bit stoic and on the edge. He was still raised as a cleric and a monk, and that has never changed. Although his hard life is slowly chipping away his kind heart, he still tries his best to do the right thing and make the right choices for when it matters most. He uses this form when he needs to deal out heavy damage, or needs to order soldiers around for war. No one respects the little guy that looks like a child.

Excel form:
After living for centuries, Kynn has become a master of almost every combat skill known to man. He didn't spend his time twiddling his thumbs, he spent it learning. He is no longer as Naive after spending so many years on the road. He has acquired rare weapons and armor, and has dedicated his life to become a traveling nomad, lending his skills to anyone that is in need of them. He still has blue cat eyes, but he has shifted his hair to be cut short and low cut, and changed the color to jet black. He goes by the last name Excel, and the first name of Omni. Anyone who hears the name trembles with fear because they know that he is a descendant of the once great and mighty Granzion empire...
He dresses in tan pants with a matching double breasted military jacket of the same color. He also wears a single crimson leather glove over his left hand, the sleeve on the side is tucked into the glove. The right hand sleeve hangs loose and he has no gloves covering to protect the skin on that hand.
In this form he looks to be an elf that is about 25 years old, he stands at 5'8, and weighs about 160 lbs. After mastering his shapeshifting powers, it appears that he also no longer ages...
Excel's two swords hang from his double sword belt that hangs around his waist. The scabbards hang at both his left, and right thighs.

The final thing that every single form has in common other then the floppy right ear, is his silver braided ponytail that is hanging from the back of his head. It is about six inches in length, and is about one inch thick. Rather he has black hair, blond hair, or brown hair, the strands in the braid are always mixed with silver hairs. This is because the hairs themselves are enchanted with magical runes, allowing him to shapeshift. Cutting the braid off will temporally disable his powers, but as the hair grows back so will his powers. No one other than Kynn and his fellow tribe members are aware that his hair is the cause of his powers.

Animal forms-
Kynn has traveled the world attempting to touch any animals he has come across. It may seem silly, but it has saved his life on multiple occasions. He has obtained the DNA, and can turn into the following forms:
Cat,
Dog,
Wolf,
Bear,
Rat,
Eagle,
Dove,
Sea trout,
Yellow bird,
Blue jay,
White fox,
White Sheep (sadly it is the version with no horns. He was suppose to get a Argali but it didn't work out...),
Acanthophis- AKA: Death Adder,
And a small grey mouse.

Monster forms-
He can change into that of a:
Gnoll,
Werewolf,
and a small Wyvern.
(He has come across others, but didn't take the DNA. People keep trying to kill him if turns into them. He doesn't know why though...)

Human parts:
Because Kynn has gathered so much DNA from over the years, he can mix and match it to shapeshift into an almost infinite combination of human like forms. It mostly just boils down to his imagination.

Personality

Kynn is a jolly and lovable type of guy, that (in his younger years) sometimes acted a bit childish.
He always tells the truth, and is one of the most reliable people you can come across.
He grew up in a town full of "Cat people" thus that was the first form he took upon himself. Since he lived among them for so long he picked up a lot of their characteristics and abilities. The cat people were childish, fun loving, and extremely stupid creatures, that would have gone extinct from the lack of common sense if it weren't for a small group of caring humans that helped to educate them. Sadly, even with the help of the humans they were still naturally stupid.
Kynn was adopted by one of these humans. The man was a priest, and he trained Kynn to follow in all their ways.
Kynn has a high sense of honor and justice, and is always looking to do the right thing. However, because of his child like mind frame, he is very naive and is often times tricked into helping the wrong side. No matter the cost though, Kynn will try his hardest to make amends for any wrong he has done...

Over the years he has wised up, and it has left him scarred and quite depressed. He is a lot more confident in himself as he reached his older years, but he finds that people aren't as lovely as he had once thought they were. Kynn has grown up to be a bounty hunter to hunt evil, and a vanquisher of the undead. Above all else, his code of honor is his most prized personality trait. No matter what happens in his life, he has never broken his oath to his master to slay the undead that had corrupted their home land, and literally ruined his life so many years ago...

His depression is not the quiet brooding type though, it is the annoying verbal kind. If he is feeling sad about something, his youthful childlike behavior normally kicks in and he will whine about whatever is bothering him.
If you are traveling with him, it can get to be quite annoying...

A final personality trait that he developed is mimicking people. The most amusing is when a woman does a curtsy as a bow, and he mimics the movement to perfection. He can't help himself.
Darn Cat people...

Equipment

Kynn/Lynn's equipment:

1. Lynn's very first weapon was a wooden staff, with a blue orb at the end of it. It was a ceremonial item given to high ranking clerics in his order.

2. The "Demon Slayer" is a golden spear with a large spearhead. The spearhead is cut out in the center in a triangle, and is lined with a red paint that outlines the missing piece of metal. The weapon's origin is unknown, it came from an alternate dimension. The man who owned the spear was summoned as a monster, but resembled a six winged angel. It had turned out the man was neither a monster, nor an angel, just a warrior from another planet that was forcefully summoned to Kynn's world to aid the lightcasters in a battle. After Kynn helped the man get home, the weapon was handed over as a parting gift. The weapon cannot break, but other then that it behaves like a normal spear. If it comes in contact with a demonic or undead based creature it will burn and disintegrate them where ever it touches or pierces.

3. Kynn was later given special Lightcaster White leather armor. It has three blue stripes going down both the left and right sides, made to resemble tiger stripes. The armor helps protect him against Sword attacks and blunt trauma that is directed towards his body. The armor is light weight, and only covers his abdomen, and the top parts of his shoulders. It is stronger than normal leather armor, but it isn't magical or anything.

4. He does however have a magically created Gold Rod with Elvin inscription's on it. With a keyword spell, the rod turns into a Blue Sword made of pure Light. The sword was made to kill anything Undead (from the spirit world) or Unholy. The light is concentrated through magic to work as a laser, cutting through anything it comes in contact with. However, the pure of heart and righteous will be spared from the blow. Sadly, because of a turn of events, and a wicked twist of fate, Kynn's trusted weapon can now be used to harm his own body...
The weapon is known as the "Sol-rod".

5. His trusty white and black cloak that he brings with him everywhere is fire resisitant. All Lightcasters wear them, and he was given one at a very young age as a security blanket. He never leaves home without it. In his later years the cloak is now a bit tattered and worn, but it still does the job of keeping out harsh weather, and strong blasts of fire...

6. Herbal bag. Yes, it contains dozens of different herbs. He is a healer, it is his job to carry a medical bag with him.
Inside of his herbal pouch that hangs loosely from his belt near his right leg, contains his Sol-rod, bandages, and several different types of herbs.

7. Standard long bow and quiver. A basic recurve long bow. The quiver is large and can hold about 60-80 arrows. Some times Kynn would be on the road for long periods of time and couldn't always restock them, the large quiver seemed like the best choice.

Excel's equipment: Two swords that were specially crafted just for him.
1. The "Silent serenade" is a silver saber that is fluted down the center of the blade. The fluted part is decorated in black, giving the weapon a ominous black and white look. The cross guard is very detailed and lined with sapphires, the hilt is decorated in the same manor, with black leather surrounding the grip. The cross guard is open so it does not enclose his fingers to allow freedom of movement, making it look similar to a long sword's cross guard instead of the standard saber.
This is a ceremonial weapon given to him by his older brother. It is a Granzion empire made weapon, and is very sturdy and very sharp. It is a normal blade though, there are no magical effects on it. It is a standard sized saber that is a straight double-edged blade used for thrusting and slashing. The blade is about four feet in length and is a bit thinner than the average saber.

2. The "Fantasia whisper" is a thin rapier that is made of gold. The weapon is very thin and very long, designed for maximum speed and damage when lunging or thrusting. The hilt is lined with rubies to give the gold a very fancy look. Many treasure hunters have attempted to steal this weapon on multple occasions. Although the weapon looks like it should break easily from being so thin, it is in fact a magically enchanted weapon with runes running along the blade causing the weapon to be razor sharp, and completely unbreakable. The weapon has an extremely complicated round wire-frame hand guard, that cups down to surround and protect the users hand from damage, it hooks around the knuckles and connects to the pummel so that it isn't easily dropped.
The blade is about five feet in length. This is NOT a modern rapier from today's age and time. It cannot bend in a U-shape, and it does not wobble when thrust at the target. This is a real rapier, one that is rigid and has sharp edges so that the blade cannot be grabbed by the hands of his opponent.
(Excel will sometimes carry one of the other items up above with him if needed.)

Because Excel has lived so long and has become a master of combat, there is no need to wear any type of armor what so ever...

Special power

As said above, Kynn is a shapeshifter. But whatever he touches, he can choose to absorb the DNA of that creature and store it for later use. After taking the DNA of something he can not only turn into it, but he also gains all of that
creatures natural or magical talents, being able to mimic every special skill exactly in the same manner as the original. So in other words, you could say he is a shapeshifting "Copy cat".

Over the years he has picked up remarkable combat skills, extreme cat like agility and acrobatics, and magical powers. He is a very deadly person to have as an enemy, but a very useful and quite amusing ally to have on your team. A final note about his shapeshifting is that it is not instantaneous, it takes a bit of time; how much depends on what he is changing in to. Changing his ears could take a matter of seconds, along with his hair. But changing muscle and body mass could take a few minutes depending on how drastic the change is. He does not have to change all at once, so he could do minor small changes until he grows into a full size dragon. No matter how big, or little the change, it still pains him to alter his own body in any way. Pain is a side effect of the shapeshifting enchantment.

Magical skills:

The final skills he has is magic. White and black.
As said above, Excel had spent his time learning, and he has perfected the arts of both healing magic and destructive magic.
He is skilled in-
Transmutations: Magic that can alter the physical world, like shapeshifting.
Thaumaturgy: Spiritual magic, very similar to divining or detection spells; or magic to make you more clairvoyant.
Abjeration: Protective/defensive magic.
and Evocations: Elemental/offensive magics.
After living for centuries, his spells are almost as diverse as his shapeshifting.

Weakness:
His braid being cut off is a weakness, but other than that he is like a normal person. Whatever would hurt a normal human, monster, or animal, will hurt him. His weakness will vary slightly based on the form he takes, for example if he is a wyvern his scales will help to protect him a bit more against arrows and swords, but it will still hurt nonetheless.
Although he is immortal and cannot age, he can still die by normal means of attack. You don't have to do any thing special like beheading him and then burning his bones. If he dies, he stays dead.

History

The story of Excel...

A Very long time ago Lynn and his friends had to go on a quest to save his brother's life from a Evil Demon that was controlling him. The demon used his brother to raise an army of the dead, and it was up to the living, a group called the Lightcasters, to lay them back to rest. With Lynn's brother leading the army of the dead, there was a grand battle that took place that nearly destroyed the planet because of the chaos it caused. The battle was so vicious, that Lynn was killed in the final showdown...

Without wasting any time, one of Lynn's friends and team members (a Guardian of a secret order), used his powers to resurrect Lynn from the dead, causing Lynn to become undead as well; the very thing he was hunting to kill. The problem was that a piece of the cursed sword that pierced Lynn's heart was still lodged in place and corrupted him, causing him to be possessed just like his brother.
Lynn went on a killing spree, murdering anything that came in his path. His friends (and the order of Lightcasters) did not give up though, they used everything within their power to cure him of his plight and to free his body from the monster's grasp. They were successful, the boy was revived, and the demon controlling him was laid to rest.

Because of the destruction he caused, a group of bounty hunters labeled him as a monster and was seeking to end his life. The only way to escape from their deadly hunting skills was to create an alias: Kynn Lightcaster...
From that day forth, Kynn dedicated himself to living life to the fullest without worries, fear, hate, or always being sad and depressed, because he now realized that life was too short for that kind of thing. Although he still gets down from time to time, he tries his best not to constantly burden his team. He tries to keep a positive outlook on life, and he also made a promise to himself and his Master, that as long as he lived he would serve good and vanquish all Evil, Especially the Undead, to make up for all the pain he had caused while he was under their influence. He went to a old friend and had a special weapon made just for him: The Sol-Rod, The sword of Light and Justice!

After many years of traveling the world, he has picked up several skills and abilities to help him along the way. After being cursed by an evil wizard to wonder throughout all time, Kynn found himself locked as an immortal, never aging. He has finally broken the spell to stop drifting through time, but the effect of always being alive has not yet left him. Even though Kynn does not age, he can still die by violent means just like everyone else. He still feels pain, he still bleeds, he simply just does not age...

Kynn used his "time" drifting through time to secretly help his younger self to accomplish his tasks. Aiding him by giving his younger self information or advice by shapeshifting into a form his younger form wouldn't recognize, Omni Excel. While Excel first thought the wizard that cursed him was trying to harm him, he now sees that everything worked out, and that if the wizard had not done it in the first place, he wouldn't have been able to go back in time to aid his younger self. Which is why all the forms named above are written in the order that they are. He is all of them from beginning of time, to the end of time. Lynn who is just starting out to save the world, and Excel always at his back, hidden in the shadows protecting and looking out for the young warrior. Excel eventually accomplished all of his goals from his past, and was able to free his brother from the curse. But only after spending centuries alone wondering throughout history...
