a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by Rhasslairiel

Description

Image

Lily's general outfit consists of an off the shoulder shirt that exposes her stomach, which is tanned and muscular, also showing off the belly button ring that she wears with pride, and there's usually a chain hanging from it and going all around her midsection. She wears a skirt, varying in length that hangs off her hips and either will drape to the floor or just over her ankles. She wears a lot of beads and trinkets on her wrists and ankles.
Lily never wears shoes, and has no visible tattoos, although she does have a tattoo on the back of her head of the moon.

Personality

Lily is all kinds of things. Talk to her and find out. :P

Equipment

She carries a few bags with her, but never goes into establishments with them. She usually hides them as close to her as she can, but will never break them out. They're filled with odd baubles and clothing, and her instruments. She doesn't carry any weapons, usually, except a tiny dagger that she keeps on her hip, hidden from sight.

History

Her history is rather simple. She used to travel around in a circus that she and the rest of her traveling gypsy people put on. She was the showgirl, and was also one of the thieves. Since her clan had been attacked and killed, she's been on her own, either stealing or dancing and performing for money. But she'll really do anything to keep alive. She simply travels from town to town throughout the months.

So begins...

Lily Arlangton Lily had one hell of a headache when she pushed open the door to the bar and stumbled in. Every muscle in her body ached, she was dehydrated, even though she's been drinking water all day, and she looked beyond tired. With a groan, she pulled herself up onto the bar and ordered a coffee, before resting her hand on her head. She just needed a couple minutes of quiet. She snorted to herself, and shook her head. Gambit's was not the place to look for that. She nearly spilled her coffee all over Isaac, who she was sitting close to, and mumbled an apology before taking a sip of the hot, dark, bitter liquid.

Lily Arlangton "I remember everything. Up until the point where we were arguing about whether or not I should get a hotel room or go back to my tent," she said, turning her eyes to piercingly look at him. "After that... did I pass out? I don't know." she frowned and took another sip of her coffee before pushing his hand so he didn't drum on the table anymore. Everything was loud as all hell.

Lily Arlangton "Then what is?" She asked, as she lifted an eyebrow, and looked at him. She had had one callback and one audition today. Both had gone rather well, but she was afraid that they thought she was a rude individual, because of all her scowling.

"Thank you, by the way," she said softly, "For taking me back."

Lily Arlangton "Auditions," she smiled and wiggled her eyebrows. "One of them is a callback. I'll find out if they want me to work with them within the week.

"Oysters are disgusting," was all she had to say on the matter. She made a face, sticking her tongue out of her lips. She kicked him lightly from under her skirt, "What about you? What have you been doing?" she asked curiously after ordering a glass of water

Lily Arlangton "Dancing companies." she smiled and nodded, crossing one leg back over the other. She bounced her foot lightly against her stool. She ran her hand through her bangs, and adjusted her hair, bangles

"How do you pay to live like that?" she asked, bewildered. She took a deep gulp from the ice water, and smiled a little bit when she felt it going down her throat. She'd feel much better soon enough

Lily Arlangton "Maybe." she said and smiled. "I don't usually tell people about auditions I have. Just in case I don't make it." She looked down at the bracelet and put her hand over it, running her finger over it. "You still have this!" she said happily.

"What did you do before this again? Like how did you make money?" she asked. She'd forgotten.

Alyssa Marina Meanwhile, she had been sitting at the bar, watching what was going on in front of her with wide eyes. She had one leg crossed over the other, and had a glass of whiskey in her hands. Again, she searched the faces to see if she recognized anyone, but that was a no.

"Hmmm..." she thought, and went back to her drink, and her thoughts.

The gypsy pushed open the door to the bar, and flicked a few of her dreadlocks over her shoulder. Her long skirt brushed the ground, and the various baubles and bells jingled as she walked with long strides toward the bar itself. She wore a white, off the shoulder shirt that cut off at her upper abdomen, and her tan skin shone with a thin layer of sweat from running across the city. With a smile to herself, Lily pocketed the coin purse that she had stolen, and walked on her bare feet toward the bar.

Pulling herself up, she sat down on the bar itself, her feet perched on one of the stools and, after ordering a rum, she rested her hand on her chin, cool blue eyes scanning the room.

Lily's eyes went to the person who had just walked up to her, and had addressed her with an 'um. hi." Lily's eyes swept once over the girl before she gave a soft smile, waving her fingers, causing her rings to make knocking sounds off each other. "Hi there." she said, and reached over to grab the rum that she had ordered, before taking a long sip from it. The burning sensation went down her throat and caused her skin to erupt in goosebumps.

"Here and there," the gypsy said, straightening the off the shoulder white shirt. Absently, she played with her bellybutton ring, and heard the soft jingling of the bell attached to it. "Where are you from?" Lily gave a quick glance to Arcayne before returning her eyes to the person she was speaking to.

"And you?" Lily leaned forward to address Arcayne. One of her eyebrows lifted loftily, and her tanned arms were crossed on her knees, one hand holding her iced rum. The condensation dripped off the cup and onto her skirt, as well as ran down her hand, but she didn't seem to notice.

Lily, who had been consumed by staring off into space, came back into reality with a snap and a few blinks. She was still sitting on the bar, but in her trance, the glass of rum had dropped from her hand and shattered on the ground. With a startled look, she sat up, her stomach muscles clenching as she straightened herself, and looked around the bar.

At that moment, a man seemed to crash through one of the windows. In the curious manner that most gypsies held themselves, Lily hopped down from the barstool, landing on the broken glass that made next to no impact on the bottoms of her feet, before slipping quietly over to a table adjacent to the one he was now trying to drag another man toward. With a little smile, she slid into the booth seat, propping her feet up on the seat beside her, and watched.

Now this was interesting. Lily sat up a little bit and watched as the two sat down on chairs at a nearby table. She crossed one bare foot over the other, and rummaged in one of her pouches for something, before finally finding what she was looking for. A thick green paste came off onto her finger and she hopped to her feet, before walking with light floating ease to Dinaeus. She leaned over his shoulder with a comedic smile, and held the paste out to him on her hand.

"If you put this on your nose it'll feel much better, love," she said, smiling. Of course, the paste was nearly sparkling with magic, but someone who wasn't accustomed to dealing with magic itself would never notice.

The gypsy was full of glee. Her pouches were full of the stolen goods from her night on the town, and she danced her way into the bar to buy herself a well-deserved drink. Her bare feet padded along the floor as she did so, and her skirt whirled out on either side of her, displaying the many anklets and bells she had on her ankles. Her hair was done in dreadlocks, and was held up by a thin piece of leather. Her arms and neck were decorated with trinkets of every kind.

She twirled her way through the bar, not paying attention, and accidentally slamming straight into Renegade. She started in surprise, and stopped spinning immediately, one hand over her mouth. One of her pouches had spilled open and she hurriedly retrieved it, not knowing that a ring with an Aschen seal had rolled his way.

"Sorry!" she said in her slightly raspy voice, "Didn't see you there!"

Lily flipped one of her dreadlocks over her shoulder, and took it from him, inspecting it closely. "If it's valuable, that's good enough reason," she said and leaned on the bar. Her skirt swished along the ground, over her bare feet. The gypsy, as she usually did, wore a white off the shoulder shirt that rested below her breasts, and exposed her tanned stomach. She held out the ring in the middle of one of her hands, "Why?" she asked, "do you want it?"

Lily turned her eyes from the man that she was standing by to someone who had just come into the bar. Her eyes lit up and she waved quickly at Sangrei. She hoped he would stay, at least for a while.

"I try to stay out of politics," Lily said, pushing herself up until she was sitting on the bar itself, in front of him. She crossed one leg over the other, and smiled. "I don't stick around in one place long enough to really care what happens to it." It might have sounded cold, but Lily was simply honest. "I'm Lily," she said with a smile, and held out a hand.

With her other hand, she waved to Sangrei again. "Come over!" she cried joyfully. "Have a drink! The both of you! On me."
