Nima Arana's Story
She saw it, but she did not completely believe it. No, no...more, she feared it. Her instincts, every part of it, had her backing away, had her stomach twisting in a sickness she could not explain. One she only felt when she knew she could not get away from anything.
"Soulgem? What is that?"

The weakness, indeed, did stay with her, and she felt herself stumbling among the tree's, breaking into twigs and branches that she knew she could so easily avoid. Her spider appendages crumpled underneath her, causing her to plant hands on the dirty ground, tears welling up into her eyes.
The young girl did stay still, as if feeling she had no choice. There was anxiety, there was fear, but there was also helplessness, therefore, she only sunk to the ground, forehead in her knees. Her hands gripped around her legs, and the world began to come to a still.
Not that Nima was a magical being, no. What magic she could use came from artifacts and jewelry that allowed her to channel magic from them, but not through herself. It was complicated, and it was also unhelpful. She had none of this magic now.
"No need to fear..." she muttered. Oh, what a lie it must have been!

The spider girl clung onto what she knew the same way a person who was afraid of heights endured a treacherous rock climb. She did not know very well what was going on, vaguely knew why, and just wanted to leave!
Forever was quite a long time. Thus, Nima could not even believe she had even been alive. It was like years had passed and all she had done was sit there and do nothing. Finally, she lifted her head, blonde locks falling over her eyes.
She looked to the small Nima, furrowing her brow. "...better?"

"And...why...exactly...are you even doing this? What if it happens I might betray the forest? What then, hmm? What then?" she asked, tone of voice dangerous. Not that she would do anything...

The setting changes from Dark Woods to Forest Border
Nima moved up off the ground despite her weakness. The long, insectlike legs upon her back lifted her up, sweat dripping down her neck. She combed her hair with her fingers, comforting herself. "So I'll get hurt too?" she asked, moving backwards. Hopefully toward the city. She did not like this very much. This man frightened her.
"I'm not quite sure why you did this at all now."

She seemed to shrink, her knees coming to her chest. Her eyes narrowed, all six of them, and she shook her head. "Wait. No! What does it do? What does it do? You stop that!" she cried, the hooflike spider legs thumping onto the floor.

So then, where would her power from the Goddess go?
"Why would you grant me that?" she asked. She folded her arms, closing every spider eye on her face so that her human eyes could focus on the details.

Nima turned her weak and wary head, every eye looking down over to the horizon, where a figure approached quickly. She blinked, holding her arms closely to her. "Who is that?" she asked. She pointed. Viogandr probably knew. She was not sure.
