Description

Name: Noel Langorial

Age: 26

Location: Lorhill, New Haven

Physical Description: Stands at 6ā€™2ā€™ā€™, weighs 140 lbs. Long arms, and longer legs. Short hair, bold facial features. Clear skin.

Mutation: Psionic Rage. Noelā€™s first emotional reaction to most things in life is anger. As a result, she can hear the frustrated and angered thoughts of those around her, only fueling her own. With the steady flow of frustration, comes her ability to build her strength to that of five men. When she is raging at full potential, she also possesses the ability to manipulate and move small/lighter objects located within a small range of herself.

History: Noel was born into a poor family within Lorhill, New Haven. It wasnā€™t until her second birthday that her mutation came into full consideration. She had been a fussy baby, true, but her tantrums didnā€™t take full effect until she began to walk and talk: as her brain actually began to take in memory and was able to process information. The particular situation took place one afternoon while her mother had her positioned at the dining table to eat her lunch. Noel didnā€™t appreciate the poor taste of her food, and refused to eat. She started screaming, and spit the food back at her mother. The bowl removed itself from the womanā€™s hands and flew to the wall. The cupboards began opening and slamming, flinging about their contents. Noel broke free of her chair restraints, destroying the chair itself. It was then that her parents realized that their daughter had been born with the genetic mutation; she was a mutant.

As the family didnā€™t have a great deal of money, they couldnā€™t travel to Athar to seek out medical advisement from the local doctors. The resources afforded to them were only the basic pamphlets that were supplied at the Mutant Registry. They simply took each occurrence as it came, trying their best not to anger their daughter.

As she grew, they tried to get her the basic education offered at the local school. Noel, however, was soon suspended due to her lack of cooperation with the other students, and tantrums often ensued the frustration of the learning process. Her parents tried to make up for her loss due to the mutation, but could only provide little since they themselves were poorly educated. As Noel breached womanhood, she made the decision to leave home. She could see, as well as hear, the frustration from her parents regarding her behavior. Noel herself couldnā€™t control her reaction, and therefore saw that the only way to control her abilities would be to isolate herself from the entire community.

She traveled through the planet, finding herself within the Madrian Rainforest. It was here that she was able to focus and meditate without the annoying thoughts of others interrupting her inner exploration. She hunted the animals within the forest, and made herself a shelter. For years, she stayed; learning to control her strength and find a way to curb the rage that welled up inside her at the single feel of frustration. Nature itself tested her abilities, and as nature couldnā€™t be intimidated, she was given the opportunity to adjust and try again until she thought she would be able to return to society.

Her family welcomed her back into their home, happy that she had calmed herself down, and learned to adjust to situations that would frustrate her instead of reacting with such rage. However, after the sudden happiness and bliss of her return faded, the thoughts of her parentsā€™ frustration with life began to chime in her mind all over again. Within the forest, there hadnā€™t been any other people to learn how to confront and control this part of her mutation. However, she was able to deal with them on an entirely different physical level. She chose to meditate instead of being involved, putting herself in a physical sense of peace, so as to simply hear and listen instead of reacting.

Then came the purge: The Confessors. At first, she didnā€™t know what fate had in store for her when they came knocking at her door, and ordered that she go with them, or risk imprisonment for disobeying the Law. So as to keep any harm from her family, she went. Soon, she regretted it though, and lost all previous control over her abilities. They analyzed her mutation with their technology and all but took it from her. After so long of learning to control it, she hadnā€™t realized how much she depended on it and how much of a part of her it was, only when it was gone did she miss it.

Locked in a cell, she first spent her days sad, and depressed. They treated her as a monster, a disgrace, an abomination. One day they came to remove her, to perform an ā€œIndividual Analysisā€. They took her to their interrogation room which consisted of a reclining restraint chair, and a door that led out of the other side. Being out of the cell for merely moments allowed her to feel her strength again. Gone was the sadness, the depression; replaced with pure unrequited rage. She broke the chains that the guards had locked her in, shattering the metal into tiny pieces all about the room. Before they could react, she had one by his throat and the other pinned against the chair. Blinded by herself, she didnā€™t hear the others come in from behind her. Tranquilizing her, she woke up tied down to the same very chair that she had pinned the guard to.

From there, she lost all sense of time. Endless hours of torture; needles and knives. Verbal and mental abuse. Before they finished and went to throw her into a cell to die, they had all but broke her will entirely. Not many had fought against them, seeing as how they had resources beyond comprehension to detain and apprehend the mutants. She had, however; and had paid dearly for it. But physical abuse hadnā€™t been enough for them. Because of her defiance, they wanted to make sure she knew that she was unwanted and undesired by all within the world, that she was less than the dirt beneath their boots. They took her back to her cell, but they had made alterations. Hanging from the ceiling were wires with cuffs on their ends. They locked her in them, and there she hung with her feet barely touching the floor. For days it seemed, she dangled. The occasional shock from the wired restraints would revive her after passing out from lack of food and water.

Right as death began to consume her body, there came a change. Noel barely remembers the incident due to her state of mind at the time, but one moment stands out, which is the memory itself. A woman came into her cell and released her from the chains, catching her just before she hit the floor. Overwhelmed by the flow of blood, she passed out. When she awoke, again she was restrained. An IV had been placed within her arm, a feeding tube taped to her mouth. Before she realized that she was capable of it, she ripped out the needles and tubes, tearing through the restraints, and began banging at the door. The same woman who had removed her from the cell appeared through a small window. It was then that Noel was told that she had been rescued, removed from the Confessors custody, that she was safe. Due to her emotional instability though, Noel was to be confined until relations could be established. As they fed her, provided her with equipment that tested her strength and mind ability, Noel slowly came around to accepting her as a savior instead of another captor. She now operates within a group of mutants that fulfill missions that would utilize their capabilities, allowing her to be accepted into society as a person, instead of a monster.

So begins...
