Name: Rynhart
Race/Species: Khrevahkian Shapeshifter
Place of Birth: Aelora
Place of Residence: Windcrest Temple, Terra
Occupation(s): Patronus Warrior, Swordsman Trainer

Rynhart's physical appearance can vary greatly, given his shapeshifter nature. However his preferred form is that of an elven man. For all intents and purposes, he can quite thoroughly pass as an elf – albeit a rugged one - and is typically characterized with angular features, pointed ears, and blonde hair.

Rynhart is a master swordsman and favors two-handed weapons. Rynhart is also an experienced and well versed practitioner of magic; though, he lacks the diversity of his sister Rhea and favors the fields of bardic magic, chaos magic and curses. Rynhart is a veteran at seeing through illusions due to his longstanding experience with Rhea, a master illusionist.

Rynhart's species provides him with an innate resistance to magic based effects.

So begins...

Loyahl frowned only slightly; That was the second time the full answer had been denied him.

Regardless, he didn't offer much reaction to the people that had just barged in, one of them appearing to be unconscious. All he did was cross his arms behind his back tighter, which made him straighten his posture a bit.

Regardless of this lack of response, he was absolute delighted on the inside, almost giddy even. This would be the first case of him even getting to meet somebody besides Rynhart, and speak with them! He attempted to remain composed as his eyes bounced back and forth between the new three and Rynhart, waiting for whoever to do whatever first.

Growing tired of waiting a little too quickly, Loyahl was the first to speak up and break the little silence there had just been.

"Ah. More people, finally. I was beginning to think it was just you and I in this place, Rynhart, and that you were leading me on about any other frequenters existing."

"You must be the elusive one I heard about, out tracking snow beasts, eh?" Adriaan replied with a quirky grin. "I'm Adriaan, and that there is Rhea," he added with a nod of his head towards Rhea. "Why don't you give me a hand here?" he asked before glancing to Rhea. "Where do you want her?"

"Take her to the dormitories, I'll be along shortly. Make sure no one else goes in there with her," she added with a shake of her head. "No telling what she might do once she wakes."

"Go on, we can finish our conversation later," Rynhart offered to Loyahl.

He shrugged before uncrossing his arms from out behind him and maneuvering himself over to the two and hoisting the unconscious woman's other arm up and over his neck, using one of his hands to pull hers down and, thanks to his height, causing her feet to lift off the ground as she was canvased between the two men.

"And yes. I am the elusive one out tracking snow beasts. You can call me Loyahl, for short. Nice to meet you."

He gave a nod to Rhea then, acknowledging her, and then a nod to Rynhart, agreeing with the sentiment of finishing the conversation later.

"Well then, Adriaan. Hi ho, hi ho, off to the dormitories we go?"

Adriaan led Spyri and himself along the precarious path that led to the temple entrance. It had been a slow and difficult ascent up the mountain, as Adriaan was more accustomed to arriving by air, and had at times left Spyri to scout ahead for safe paths up the icy face. At last though, they arrived at their destination, no worse for the wear.

"What do you think?" Adriaan asked, quirky grin and all.

The temple didn't look like much from the outside, and appeared to be little more than a crude stone entryway that led down into the depths of the mountain. The plateau at its front afforded a relatively stable region that overlooked the vast peaks below, while the sheer cliff overhead served to shelter the entrance from rock slides, or avalanches that might overtake the area in the harsher points of the year.

Sitting upon the steps of the temple was a man, seemingly elven in nature. A sheathed great sword rested on the steps besides him, and he was playing a lively tune upon his flute.

It would be a good hour before Rynhart and Adriaan happened down the steps of the temple to discover Strahga and Sorre.

Swift measured steps carried Rynhart to their side as he knelt down, one hand reaching to shift Strahga onto his back, so he could get a better look at the pair of them. A frown was etched deep into his brow.

At his back Adriaan glanced around the altar room cautiously. "Should I round up the others?" he asked.

Rynhart shook his head. "There's no need. They did this to each other."

Adriaan arched a brow. "Each other?" He asked, a note of incredulity tinging his words. "I enjoy a good spar now and again, but damn, someone needs to show those kids how it's done."

Rynhart sighed. "Go to Academia Celestia, see if Scarlet will send someone. Rhea isn't expected back for another three days yet."

Adriaan dubiously eyed the unconscious pair before turning and climbing the steps at a swift pace.

Rynhart's frown didn't abate as he stood. They really needed to get a healer stationed out here.

Rhea and Rynhart lingered outside Ai's room, the former with a tray of food in hand.

"Are you certain about this one?" Rynhart asked, his brow furrowed in concern.

"I'm not certain of anything yet, Rynhart," Rhea replied gently.

"She's a danger to the others," Rynhart reminded her. "There's a child here now, a child that we endanger by keeping this woman around." He shook his head. "If she can't be helped, what will you do then?"

Rhea glanced to the doorway. "She wasn't responsible for what she carries, we will do whatever we can for her."

Rynhart lay a hand on Rhea's shoulder, turning her gaze back to him. "That's not what I asked. Will you be the one to deal with her?" he asked.

Rhea lay a hand over Rynhart's own, sighing softly. "If it comes to that, then yes."

Rynhart studied her for a time before nodding slightly and withdrawing his hand. "I'll find the others and inform them of the danger this woman poses."

The sound of receding footsteps could be heard before Rhea opened the door at last, entering the small dormitory room.

Declan wasn't alone in the room, and a second figure was seated there, his coat tossed across one of the wooden tables. In hand he had a flute, which he blew a few experimental notes on, before taking note of the newest arrival.

Lowering the flute, the elven looking man glanced curiously at Declan.

"Greetings traveler," he offered.

"Are you lost?" Rynhart asked.

He set his flute down atop his discarded coat.

"No I suppose not..." he added thoughtfully. "Not many arrive here that don't have a destination in mind, even if they don't yet know what that destination is."

"You look like you could use a bed and some rest though," he continued. "I'm Rynhart, and this," he paused and waved his hand towards the open room of the temple. "Well this is something different for everyone I guess, so you'll have to find the answer to that yourself."

"Stay on as long as you need, we get travelers passing through often enough."

"What brings you through here?" Rynhart asked. "These icy peaks aren't easily navigated, let alone for one as travel weary as yourself."

Al-ice's arrival had seemingly gone unnoticed by Rynhart while he conversed with Declan.

'My sister can take a look at that," Rynhart offered. "She's seeing to another of our guests right now though."

"What were you ambushed by?" he added after a moments pause. "We have wounded here, and a child. If there's new dangers within the mountains, it may be best I send someone to investigate matters."

Rynhart raised an eye at the newest arrival. "It would seem this is the place for travelers today," he noted.

He rose then. "Sit," he offered to Kiyomi. "There's food and warm beds if you wish to wait out the storm. Stay as long as you want. I must be going though."

"It's good that you came," Rynhart replied, taking the chiding in stride. "It had been my hope that they would have some measure of self-control," he added with a shake of his head. "Especially so far from any outside assistance."

He sighed then. "I question what it is that Rhea hopes to accomplish here, if they cannot even keep from killing each other."

Rynhart moved to Strahga's side, placing a firm hand on his shoulder to slow his attempt to rise. "She's fine, you both need rest though. A storm moved in while you were out, so staying to the temple shouldn't pose too much trouble." Once Strahga was on his feet, Rynhart lowered his hand, leaving the demon to his stubbornness.

"Your stubbornness will only delay your training," Rynhart remarked. "Or have you forgotten what it was that brought you here?"

"You won't do her any favors hurting yourself more," Rynhart reasoned. "She's fine, and you will be too if you both get some rest. Why don't you take her to the dormitories," he finally offered.

Rynhart too was drawn by the commotion within the growing dining hall, and he appeared in the doorway. He made no move to join the others though, watchful eyes glancing over the wounded girl. His gaze lingered only a moment on the ragged bite wounds before he turned away and left, echoing footsteps receding down the hall.

The furrow of his brow and the quietness of his departure betrayed his his own thoughts which echoed the words that Loyahl had uttered.

Rynhart's momentary appearance went unnoticed by Rhea as she went about her work with urgency.

"I need some warm water, and bandages," she told Adriaan who moved off without question. "And gorroot. It'll help bring the fever down."

"Uh... what is a gorroot?" he called over his shoulder as he riffled through cupboards haphazardly.

"Second cupboard on the left," she called back. "Boil about an ounce of it into a cup of water."

"Loyahl," Rhea spoke up again, glancing towards him. "If you can help get over here, if not, give us some room."

Rynhart was seated at the temple entrance once more, his back propped up against a stone pillar as he played a few lingering notes upon his flute. It was a bitter cold night in the mountains, too cold to be outdoors and he had the small fire stoked at the entrance once more. Even with the pillars to break the wind and fire to offer warmth, it did little to ease the icy bite of the evening air.

With the cold to numb his fingers, Rynhart gave up on the flute and returned it to his coat. Pulling the thick fabric closed to ward against the cold he let his mind wander while listening to the rhythmic crackling and popping of the burning firewood.

Rynhart raised his eyes to look upon Loyahl as the man blocked off his view of the campfire. What he saw raised questions of his own. The whip of Loyahl's cloak in the bitter wind, the illumination of the fire at his back that left his steely eyes all the darker. There was a fierceness to Loyahl that Rynhart had overlooked in their brief conversations, a resolve that he had not thought the wayward hunter capable of.

When Loyahl had arrived upon these steps, he had seemed lost and without direction, but the man who stood there now did so without his past hesitation or meak doubts into what he wanted. Perhaps it was that resolve within Loyahl's eyes that garnered the answer he received.

"What do you wish to know," Rynhart replied, gesturing for Loyahl to sit.
