Personality

Seren is quiet and withdrawn, preferring solitude to company for one simple reason: it's safer. She is cautious, and somewhat suspicious in nature, considering every decision carefully before making it. She is a skilled warrior and has trained in hand to hand, sword, dagger, throwing knives, and even modern projectiles, though she is less familiar with those than the others.

Equipment

A short sword sheathed on her left hip, a dagger in each outer pocket of her leather jacket, a throwing knife sheathed within her sleeve at each wrist, a hand gun in each of her jacket's inner pockets, a dagger sheathed in each of her boots, black fingerless gloves with a hidden metal plating at the knuckle.

History

Seren was born into a family of prestigious vampire hunters. She was the only girl out of her parent's five children, and was born with such unnaturally colored eyes that she was nearly slain as an infant. The local healer came to her rescue, proclaiming that she'd nearly been posessed whilst in the womb, but had fought it off... marking her as special within the clan. As she grew, Seren became an excellent hunter. Skilled, focussed, and merciless. For a time, her life was good. however, during a hunt about a year ago, Seren's life was changed forever. It was a usual hunt. They'd surrounded the building, gone in unnoticed, and then begun killing off vampires, one by one. The house was nearly empty when Seren came across her father and the last of them in one of the rooms. Her father had a female vampire wounded, and fastened to the ground... and he was raping her. She ran through the house, looking for the other hunters... there were similar scenes everywhere, and those who were not defiling their helpless enemies were pillaging from their home. She went back to the clan and reported to the village elders that she was leaving. It was not unheard of for a hunter to leave for a more peaceful life, but she was so young. Some attempted to persusade her to stay, some tried to say she'd been taken over by the demon who'd tried to claim her at her birth. Many tried to physically keep her from leaving... she could not recall if any of them had died in the attempt. Now she travels the world, doing honest work as she goes, and avoiding trouble when she can.

Quickpaw Hurojo awakes after having been asleep for several years. Around the area was only void. It was empty. Dark. Cold. "Where... where have the spirits placed me?" He started patting his body all over; ensuring that he was corporeal. "Not dead; that's a plus." Though there was no time to lose. If he was corporeal, that likely means that he could return to the world he knew, and hopefully return to his king. He began running, hoping to find an exit to this ethereal obscurity.
