Personality

Tatsuki is an overall peaceful girl whose demeanor shows that particular quaility about her. Although at times, she has her moments of insecurity due to her current dream unable to be fulfilled, but she usually sets that aside for the good of herself. She is often well mannered to superiors and others, but nothing would stop her for fighting for what she believed in, even if it showed a hint of rudeness. She has a weakness for the skies and can usually be spotted laying on the grass looking at the sky; the sun in particular. She also has the tendancy on chatting too much about her family's belief of the Tengu and sometimes accidentally reveals a bit of her past. Although sociable, she keeps particular things to herself, and sometimes gives others the impression that she is rather secretive. On the plus side, she is nice and helpful and has the determination to fulfill whatever goal she may have for herself. She's not particularly shy and wouldn't hesitate to perform a dance or entertain others for the acknowledgment of herself and her dream to become a performer.

/:Secondary Weapon Type:\ Katana.
/:Name of the Weapon:\ Onkei no Hinoiri. [Blessing of the Sunset.]

/:Weapons Description:\
Tessen - The Onkei no Hinode has ribs of very strong bamboo and a body made of iron. In addition, the sail is made out light weight but strong iron, so it could be user friendly, and easy on the wrist. The Tessen itself has the ability to deflect sword attacks but also has the ability of being a rather effective weapon. Being a foot and a half, it is easily consealable on any part of the body and can be used as a throwing knife. One other notable thing about the weapon is the red painted character "Sunrise" on the sail, which differentiates it from its other half. An historical aspect of this blade is the Keeroshimo family believe that they were blessed with the ability to forge such a weapon by the mythical creature, the Tengu.

Katana - This katana is the partner to the Onkei no Hinode. It has the typical average 2.1 ft blade and it has fairly balanced capabilities. It is light and durable, having the ability to perform strings of attacks without physically straining the wielder. Since the Onkei no Hinode has superior defense, the Onkei no Hinoiri has the superior offense, being able to slice enemies with ease, like any typical katana. Like it's partner, it has a red painted character "Sunset" but it is painted on the sheath of the blade along with the hilt.

History

The Keeroshimo was a family with many talents, notably in the art of forging weapons. At first they were a family of wielding katanas, but then, according to their ancestors, the Tengu taught them the art of Tessenjutsu. Since then, the Keeroshimo had always valued Tessenjutsu as the technique that represented the family, as well as their belief in the Tengu was born. Strangely, they only believed in one that took the form of a red majestic bird with six wings and valued it as their protector for many years to come. In a way, this practiced Shintoism and they built many shrines in their homes to worship the Tengu they later called, "Tori-Sama, the Tengu of Fortune and Protection." The Keeroshimo worship Tori-sama on a daily basis and prepare offerings to him to practice their religion. With this in mind, the Keeroshimo can be seen as religious to some extent.
Here lies Tatsuki's era, still practicing the worshipping of "Tori-sama" relentlessly. Tatsuki is the only daughter of Kenshiro and Miasuki Keeroshimo. They were the typical family, living the traditional life with the addition of worshipping and offering food to "Tori-sama". Her parents were strong believers and as a result, they burned the symbol of the Tengu on the small of her back to signify that she was a believer of "Tori-sama" Of course her father was getting obsessive and guarded Tatsuki's moves very closely. Each time she wanted to go outside to have fun with the neighbourhood children, she couldn't, since her father made the excuse that the Tengu in which guarded their clan disallowed her from going outside. Her mother disagreed with this, but since she didn't have too much power, she stayed silent about her feelings, as her daughter was growing frustrated with her father's obsessiveness.
Many years of this went on and Tatsuki grew more and more bored, not wanting to live like this anymore. Her mother knew this and sent her on an "errand", one that was long enough for her to enjoy the outdoors. She knew what her mother was up to and smiled at her mother before she left. During her small journey, she fell in love with the skies and the fresh air, knowing she might not be able to experience this again. Not forgetting to get the items her mother asked her to get, she did her errands while enjoying the outdoors, and finally remembered what happiness truly was. She attempted to return home quietly but as she put the items down on a table, her father was there in front of her with an outraged look on his face. He asked where she was but she was unable to answer, since she knew her mother would be in trouble if she told him. She remained silent and her father struck her, demanding to know where she had went for the day. Apparently, he had been worried sick and her mother didn't want to tell him, since she knew she was going to get trouble as well, thinking that Tatsuki would sneak in unnoticed. She didn't want to lie to her father, but she also wanted to protect her mother. She had told her father that she had went out for a walk for a little while. Her father had struck her again and told her that she had disobeyed him and the Tengu he obsessively worshipped. Tatsuki being on the ground shocked, she didn't know how to reply to her father and just cried softly at the unbearable stinging pulsing from her now reddened cheek. Her mother had walked in on them and Kenshiro just stared at Miasuki angrily, soon to demand for her to take care of the weeping Tatsuki.
With Tatsuki's head now on her mother's lap, she continued to cry and wonder why her father was this way. Miasuki was unable to tell her why, but reassured her that everything would be okay. Her mother continued to comfort her and gently nurse her reddned cheek. As this went on, Tatsuki's belief in the Tengu decreased significantly since that moment, since she claimed it failed to protect her from her father. Many moments like that happened as she snuck outside to watch the sun from the fields and each time she returned home, she was caught by her father and beaten for her refusal to listen to him. Each time her father tried to beat his beliefs into her, the more she lost her faith in Tori-sama. She began to despise him for turning her father into a monster and making her father hurt her so much.
But one event just cut her belief in Tengu forever. One day, Tatsuki returned home from her daily exploring but she saw a sight that she thought she'd never see. Her mother was on the floor, slain, with her blood splattered all over the walls and the tatami matting. Tatsuki stood there frozen, petrified, not knowing what to do. Her father was surely out of control. He held the tip of his bloodied katana a few inches above her mother's face with a twisted grin. His speech, however, wasn't coherent, and he kept mumbling, "She disobeyed Tori-sama." over and over. Tatsuki stepped backward slowly but her father's eyes widened, moving whenever she moved, mumbling "You disobey Tori-sama too." Tatsuki screamed in fear as she ran out of the house, but her father persued her mumbling, "Tori-sama." over and over again, with the intention on slaying his daughter without remorse. She tripped over a rock and landed her back. She attempted to get up, but her father was right above her with his blade raised, readying to slash her in half. He began the motion, but then a travelling samurai saw this just in time. And with haste, the samurai ran by and slashed her father fatally, right before her eyes. Her father stood there frozen, dropping the blade, before blood gushed out of his fatal wound and mouth and he fell to the ground, dead. Blood splattered over Tatsuki and the blade landed next to her, the tip of the blade sticking itself in the ground. She trembled in fear, not believing what was going on. Her mother died at the blade of her father, the woman who tried to liberate her from her father's clutches. And now the man whom she was supposed to kill died at the blade of a man she didn't know she could trust. The samurai offered his hand to her and apologized for what he had done, shortly learning that it was her father. She went back inside the crime scene and took her mother's tessen then went back out to take her father's katana, preparing to run away alone. But the samurai wanted to futher his apology, so he offered to take care of her. She accepted and the samurai raised her as his daughter, even watching the skies with her at times.
As time passed. she grew more and more attached to the samurai, now acknowledging him as the father she never had. The two journeyed together and saw many suns together. Also, the samurai had taken her to a Kabuki show, where she was mesmorized by the performance, despite all roles being played by men. It inspired her to want to change that and to be the first female to ever perform in Kabuki. The samurai laughed at this but supported her dream, regardless of the odds being against her. He even encouraged her to dance to practice towards her dream. As a result, Tatsuki always practiced her dancing whenever possible. The samurai had an idea and told her to use her family's Tessenjutsu mixed with something else and create something that would make her fighting graceful. Then she'd be able to also entertain others, even if she had the intention on inflicting damage on an opponent. She decided to combine her tessen with her father's katana, practiced this, and combined her dancing into her fighting, proud with what she achieved. The samurai challenged her to a spar to test her progress but was defeated by her quick, yet hypnotizing technique. Happy with this, he concluded his training with her, and advised that she go out on her own to achieve her dream.
Agreeing with the samurai, she set off on her own two days later, to find a way to achieve her goals, and maybe even get stronger. She never knew what happened to the samurai after she left, but she knew and hoped that he would be okay, despite her absence. She was determined to make him proud and not regret his decision, no matter what.

So begins...

Quickpaw Hurojo awakes after having been asleep for several years. Around the area was only void. It was empty. Dark. Cold. "Where... where have the spirits placed me?" He started patting his body all over; ensuring that he was corporeal. "Not dead; that's a plus." Though there was no time to lose. If he was corporeal, that likely means that he could return to the world he knew, and hopefully return to his king. He began running, hoping to find an exit to this ethereal obscurity.

Sibael Rhodwyn looked around, finally staring one of the strangers in the face, "I don't remember you. Any of you, to be frank."
