Description

Travis stands at a towering height of 6'10'' towering over all people he knows. He weighs in at about 180 and is normal in appearance, meaning he is not buff or fat or too skinny. His hair, is black, and messy. He used to keep it short, and still gives it an occasional trim, but it usually just grows around his head. His eyes are a very dark bue in color. He has no facial hair, and mostly shaves it off when it grows on him.
Travis has always worn baggy black cargo pants that zip off at the knee to form shorts in hot weather. However he rarely unzips those. His socks are wool and navy blue in color. His tennis shoes are Nike. He takes a great deal into tee-shirts whether it's plain dark blue or black, or one of his favorite shirts. These have symbols, emblems, or pictures of his favorite bands. He has many Metallica shirts, Pantera shirts, and Megadeth shirts. He has other band shirts ranging from Slayer, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Disturbed, and other bands.
He has worn a black vest over these shirts all the time in travel. This vest holds his team, an iPod nano, badges, his cell phone, and other personal items. Despite earning all eight gym badges, he rarely wears them, in fact he keeps them at his house in a drawer. He wears a bandana around his had as a sweat band at times, and also wears aviators at times.

Personality

The Personality of Travis Mura can be one of the most confusing things. The main reason for this is the one fact that if something happens that greatly upsets Travis, his mood can change almost instantly.
Most of the time, he is one of the nicest trainers around. He is known to help out in very bad situations. He has fought off Team Rocket on several occassions in Kanto, and Jhoto. He also does his role of an advisor to some trainers, as he knows great advice in how to live. Travis has given some credit of this trait to the Pewter City gym leader.
Travis has a deep love and care for each and every one of his pokemon. He often refers to them as the team, saying that calling them "his" would seem a bit harsh, because Travis doesn't believe pokemon are owned by any trainer. Travis has often said "I have given the option of leaving to every one of my Pokemon. They choose to stay, and they're happy, as am I." This and other factors point to the fact that Travis holds his pokemon team in very high respect.
One of the lesser things known about Travis, is his ability to change his mood in a very dark way. This is rarely seen unless someone greatly upsets Travis. Travis has often said it is best described through a Metallica song titled "The Unnamed Feeling." When in these dark moods, he has been known to lash out in anger, walk off alone without his team, and go into meditation as a way to calm himself. Travis has voice a big dislike in these moods and tries his hardest to stay out of them.
Meditation is one of the things Travis does daily. Mostly near the end of the day as a type of "reflection." He does it before he goes to bed. It relaxes him, and gets him ready for tomorrow.
Travis has also had a huge passion for music, particularly Metal. He says that his taste ranges from classic rock at Heavy Metal. Most music he listens to comes from the bands Metallica, Pantera, Megadeth, the Moody Blues, Led Zeppelin, and other related bands.

Equipment

The basic equipment of a pokemon trainer, minus the pokedex.

History

Brief Summery of Travis' Life

Born on November 20th, 1990 to Isabella and Jonathan Mura, Travis grew up happy in his early life in Pallet Town. It wasn't until he turned 11, that life began to show it's hard ways. His father had been getting a
bit on edge with his wife, and after weeks of constant arguing, he left the family. He even received a pokemon. He never said goodbye to Travis or his wife, and it was the last time he would be seen again. A few weeks later, DNA tests confirmed that a pool of bood inside the Rock Tunnel was that of Jonathan. His body was never found, but his glasses, some ripped blood stained clothes, and a broken pokeball were. Because of his father's actions, Travis was not too fond of his father for a long period of his life. Four years later, his mother was killed in an accident. This changed Travis' life greatly. Already he was deprived of most of his family. His only living relatives were his grandparents, Nova and James Mura. He was sent to live with them after his mother's death.

His grandparents, were some of the nicest people he knew. They lived in a house that was built by his great, great, great grandfather. Travis was given his own room, and he enjoyed helping out around the house, especially outside.

For two years, Travis lived there. After turning 17, he decided to become a trainer. He received his first pokemon from Professor Oak, a Squirtle he named Gill. He did not set out right away. He stayed in Pallet about a wek before leaving with Gill. In this week, he began training Gill and bonding with him. Because of this, he did not have many problems with Gill's behavior.

The two became lifelong companions very quick. Though Travis never intended on battling the Elite 4, he battled the Kanto gym leaders. But his victories, had gotten the attention of a lot of trainers. Travis, not seeking fame or glory for himself began to keep himself on the low profile. He caught very little pokemon, but he trained what he had very hard. His ways of training are still a mystery to trainers today as he keeps them secret. He has said his ways are kept secret mostly because he doesn't give away stradegy, and the training itself could be very dangerous to the trainer and his pokemon if he didn't do it properly.

A few weeks after Travis set out on his journey, his grandfather died of cardiac arrest. He was 72. Travis revisited Pallet shortly after. He didn't stay long. His grandparents meant the world to him, and them being his only living family, he grew slightly depressed knowing that his family would not be alive much longer. After winning all 8 gym badges in Kanto, he kept a low profile. He was getting too much atention he did not want and therefore left Kanto. He never battled another gym leader, and would limit his publicity. Jhoto had not really heard of him, but some did know his name. He became a huge wanderer and travelled long distances. By the time he was 19, he had memorized the geography of all four regions, and had been to them all.

When he was about 21, he captured his last pokemon, a Turtwig. He owned a total of 17 pokemon his entire trainer life. The whole team together composed one of the most feared teams in Trainer history. Travis knew pretty much every battle stradegy and if he was beat with another one, he quickly learned it.

Later on that year, an extremist group known as the Purifists posed a great threat as they had gained control of the trio that composed of Groundon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza. With the help of oter trainers, Travis defeated the purifists before more hgue damage could be done by them. (Dies Irae). This took a while and the world was changed.

Travis got more attention after his victory with the Purifists and was forced once again to go on a low profile, but ittle did he know that the Pokemon league was looking for him. They finally contacted him and requested him to be a new gym leader. After about a week thinking about it, he accepted, and became the gym leader of his own gym on an island outside Vermillion City. His badge was his own creation, simply called the "Metal" Badge, which took the shape of a shriuken. He became a gym leader at the age of 24.

Trainers, finally aware of his location, flocked to challenge him, and a lot of them were defeated. The first day, Travis faced exactly 150 trainers. Only less than 10% achieved a victory against him. Because of his constant victory, he requested special trainers, that all challengers would be required to defeat in order to face Travis. Some of these trainers consisted of trainers Travis had travled with before or knew and respected very deeply, the most famous eing Ritchie.

Travis regarded Ritchie in high respect. Ritchie was a trainer who also knew the battlefield well, and could come up with a stradegy to defeat Travis. He would eventually take Travis' place as the gym leader of his gym.

At the age of 38, the Elite 4 requested Travis to join the Elite 4. Bruno had retired and Travis was one of the top nominees for his replacement. At first, Travis declined, saying he never chalenged the Elite 4, therefore didn't deserveto be a part of them. However, after a month, they still had no replacement. At this point, Travis finally accepted and became a member of the Elite 4. At first, he was the third trainer, that trainers needed to defeat in order to go on. However the constant victories moved him up to trainer number 4 and the leader of the Elite 4. He would face many trainers and a good number of them won. Travis' victory percentage as the Elite Four leader was about 64%.
Travis lead the Elite Four for about 4 years, then decided to step down back to a Gym leader at the age of 42. His final battle was against Ritchie's son. Ritchie's son had the personality of his father, and even the offspring of his Father's Pikachu. The battle was very close, but in the end, Ritchie achieved victory and became the last trainer to beat Travis in the Elite Four. Travis called the battle one of his favorites to be a part of.

Afterwards, he became the gym leader again. However, his age had started to show in his team, and Travis would worry about them a lot. He remained a gym leader for the next 7 years.

When he was 49, Travis announced his official retirement from pokemon battling. Shortly afterwards, he gained the title as "Hero of the Day" for his personality towards trainers and his team. Though some say that his victory against the Purifists also helped in his title.

At the age of 52, he was the first Trainer to be inducted into the Pokemon League Hall of Fame, who had never challenged or beaten the actual Elite Four. At his induction ceremony, he gave his most memorable speech. He never game many, but he is remembered a lot by his acceptance at the Hall of Fame. Though officially retired, Travis had a few more battles. His final battle at the age of 63 was against Ritchie. The two had grown very close in their lives. After the battle, Travis went to live in his grandparents house.

He had his backyard expanded greatly and let his team out of his pokeballs. His team lived in the backyard near the house.

At age 72, life once again showed it's hardships. Travis' first member of the team, his Magmar, Hollow died. This would start years of hardships for Travis and his team, as year by year, members passed away.

Upon reaching the age of 80, only three pokemon remained of the original 17; his Turtwig, Orion, his Raichu, St. Anger, and Gill. St. Anger and Orion lived another two years before dying in 2072-73.

Gill and Travis lived together one full year afterwards. On November 18th, 2074, Gill died, and Travis went into a deep sadness. However, he had known hardships before and was himself again in less than 24 hours.

However, Travis' time was also very limited. On November 24rth, 2074, Travis passed away in his sleep. Rumors were started that he committed suicide due to the loss of Gill, but after investigation, his death was ruled completely natural. Travis was 84.

is memorial service was held by the pokemon league, which was lead by Ritchie's son at the time. After his death, the Elite Four suspended all activity for a week to honor Travis. An award was named in his honor, the "Hero of the Day" award, which was given to the trainer each year who showed the most compassion for his team.

Travis was buried by his grandfather along with his team in Pallet Town's cemetery. Through his life, Travis had won over 76% of all his battles, and is known as one of the best trainers in the art of battle.

Quickpaw Hurojo awakes after having been asleep for several years. Around the area was only void. It was empty. Dark. Cold. "Where... where have the spirits placed me?" He started patting his body all over; ensuring that he was corporeal. "Not dead; that's a plus." Though there was no time to lose. If he was corporeal, that likely means that he could return to the world he knew, and hopefully return to his king. He began running, hoping to find an exit to this ethereal obscurity.
