Description

A graceful young cow, about 5’8” in length. Yewna, as is the ideal for selkie cows, is quite voluptuous and plump, with a subcutaneous layer of blubber for warmth and filling out and streamlining her figure. Her slick coat of fur is a mottled gray, being darker along her head and back, and a light warm-gray on her front. Her large eyes are round and dewy black, and lined with dark eyelashes. She has a cutely snubbed nose, fairly flat like a pug. Her bottom lip is full and slightly droopy. Like Agu, she wears clothes fashioned of whale skin: a bodice cross-stitched in front and then something like a short skort on her bottom half, ideal for swimming in.

History

Yewna was raised in the North in a selkie colony. When she came of age, she was placed into the large harem of a big burly bull named Huuk. For her work, she and a group of other cows would sew and mend whale-skin clothing and care for small pups. She gave birth to a selkie pup when she was nineteen. The pup was adventurous as he grew older. When he was toddling on his wobbly flippers, he slipped too far away from her on the ice and was snatched up by an orca. Yewna was so devastated by her pup’s death, as well as the violent attacks by the half-orca Nekelari, that she resolved to leave the colony and head for warmer waters, where she imagined things are more peaceful.

Quickpaw Hurojo awakes after having been asleep for several years. Around the area was only void. It was empty. Dark. Cold. "Where... where have the spirits placed me?" He started patting his body all over; ensuring that he was corporeal. "Not dead; that's a plus." Though there was no time to lose. If he was corporeal, that likely means that he could return to the world he knew, and hopefully return to his king. He began running, hoping to find an exit to this ethereal obscurity.
