Introduction
It is the year 2023 here on earth. Many things have changed, yet many things have stayed the same. Technology has become more advanced. Hover cars are common place and have replaced the once land bound vehicle. Things such as holograms, simple pixels on the surface of the earth’s fabric, have since become tangible, putting anything of your heart’s desire within your reach with the simple click of a button. Scientists have discovered and documented the existence of dimensions other than our own. Though whether or not those dimensions have been traveled to is kept secret from the public. Unbeknownst to them, these scientists have been able to develop portals which allow travel between the dimensions possible. To test it out, they sent a team of four scientists into the dimensions to record and collect data. But something went wrong. The portal generator which allowed passage back into our own dimension malfunctioned, leaving those scientists trapped somewhere on the Dimensional Grid. As scientists repaired the generator and prepared a rescue team, strange occurrences began to happen. Dimensional rifts began to open all over the world, sucking the everyday pedestrian into the Dimensional Grid as well. The only explanation for this is that when the scientists from our world traveled into the Dimensional Grid in the first place, they created that connection between our own dimension and the others. The only way to break the connection is to recover every lost soul sucked into the Dimensional Grid. But, the scientists have encountered another problem. After spending so much time separated from their own world, humans sucked into the Dimensional Grid slowly begin to lose their humanity, their bodies altering and modifying to whatever dimension they have been trapped in. Scientists began working on an antidote to fix the problem. After years of development, the antidote is finally complete. The portals have been fixed and made more efficient for travel and a rescue effort is now underway to return these Spirits to earth, where they will receive the antidote and regain their humanity.
You are a youth assigned to one of these rescue teams. You were selected as a suitable candidate a short five months in advance and have been trained for this moment. You will be working alongside two other team members. There will be three teams in total. One person from each team will be assigned a Survival Watch. This watch is your lifeline. It is also how you will capture these Spirits in order to transport them back to earth. Remember to be careful as you travel the Dimensional Grid. If you spend too long in one dimension you will become trapped there. It is unavoidable that the more time you spend on the Dimensional Grid the more humanity you will begin to lose. Time and speed is essential here. Below you will be provided more information about your Survival Watch and about the worlds you will be traveling to. Read carefully, if you choose not to it could cost you your life.
Bebe: Bebe is your very own personal guide and assistant while traveling between dimensions. She will be a very important tool for you on your journey. After arriving at a new dimension, immediately press Bebe’s button on your watch. A tiny holographic Bebe will appear and scan your surroundings. After performing her scan and assessing the dimensional makeup of the world, Bebe will tell your team the basics that they need to know: general information about the land, what kind of wild game inhabits it, how many Spirits are present in the dimension, and what those Spirits are like. She will then assign each member of your team a power, weapon, or other useful item drawn and created specifically from the makeup of that land. She will briefly explain how each power or item functions and then return to the watch if no further information is necessary. Note: The weapons or powers Bebe assigns each team member will only be functional in the dimension it was assigned. In each new dimension you will receive new aids to help you on your mission. When you believe all the Spirits have been captured, press Bebe’s button yet again to have her confirm it. She will then open up another portal for you to travel through, which will take you to another world.
The Cell: The cell is the part of your watch where all the captured Spirits will be contained. After a Spirit is weak enough to be captured, approach the Spirit and press the cell button. A ray of light like a scanner will appear from your watch and pull the Spirit into the watch, storing it in the cell. Spirits that have not been weakened will be difficult to capture, the cell’s scanner has to be able to focus on them for a minimum of six seconds before the Spirit can be contained. On the face of your watch, where the time would usually be found, you will see a counter. This lets you know just how many Spirits are currently contained within the watch’s cell.
Supplies: Pressing the supplies button lets you access the watch’s supply menu. After pressing the button, a holographic screen will appear above the watch. Scroll your finger across the screen to see all supplies that had been pre-packed into your watch’s supply storage. Each watch comes packed with three tents, three sleeping bags, two self-lighting campfires, a lifeboat, three walkie talkies, three thermal jackets, three flashlights, two flare guns, two ropes, and two first aid kits. Each first aid kit contains three bandage wraps, seven band-aids, three gauze pads, suturing needle and supplies, antiseptic cleaner. To use an item, tap that item on your supply menu. The item will physically appear before you. To return an item to the watch, simply access the supply menu again, go to that item, and press the bottom of it where it says “return.”
Food: The watch’s food menu functions in much of the same way as its supply menu. Press the food button on your watch and a holographic menu containing pictures of all the food stored within the watch will appear above it. Scroll through the menu and click on desired meal to have it appear before you. Note: If you don’t want your food to appear on the ground, I suggest you hold out your hand before pressing for it to appear. Then, the food will appear in your hand rather than on the floor.
D. Radio: The D. Radio is your only communication back with your own dimension and will only be functional at your starting place in each world, close to where the portal you had traveled through was. Use it if you absolutely have to get back in touch with Base. An emergency that could result in one having to use the D. Radio is if the team’s Survival Watch is somehow broken, if one of the team members can no longer complete the mission from injury or another reason, or in the case of death of one of the team members. If a team member can no longer complete a mission, Base will work to open up a portal near the team for the returning member to pass through (though opening this portal from Base is difficult). To help you complete your mission, Base will send in a new member to assist you.
Humans lose their humanity over time by being separated from their own dimension too long or from spending too long of a period of time in one specific dimension. Once all humanity is lost, humans will no longer be able to travel between dimensions and will become trapped in whatever the last dimension they visited was. When humans begin to lose their humanity, the first thing that starts to change is their personality. Humans will begin to have a more difficult time distinguishing right from wrong, friend from foe, and recalling parts of their lives from the human world. Slight physical features will start to change next, from eye color, to hair color, even skin color. Vocals might start slightly changing in pitch or frequency as well. Eventually, humans will start physically mutating in order to match the environment of whatever dimension they are attached to, up to the point that they might not even resemble humanity at all.
Earth Worlds:
The Earth Worlds have been given their title because of their close resemblance to our own dimension.
The Cave – The Cave world is a world made up entirely of an underground cave, filled with tunnels, drop offs, and dead ends. There are few cracks in the ceiling that will let light flicker through, though where that light comes from is unknown.
Cave Spirits: Are large arachnid like creatures that inhabit The Cave. There are five of them to capture. See Bebe's Database for more information about Cave Spirits.
The Forest – In this dimension a thick and dense forest stretches far and wide with no apparent end. It resembles the Amazon rainforest here on our dimension, though it seems more prehistoric.
Forest Spirits: Information Unknown
The Grassland – The Grassland is a world covered by a giant field of tall sweeping grass blades that reach up to a man’s chin. The wind is always blowing in The Grassland. The sky is filled with large and fast moving clouds.
Grass Spirits: Information Unknown
The Ash Mountains – The world of The Ash Mountains is a rugged and hilly one, completely covered with what looks like inactive volcano tops. The ground is covered with a powdery gray ash that reaches up to the knees in some places.
Ash Spirits: Information Unknown
The Darkness – The world of The Darkness is one that’s always enveloped in night, never seeing the daylight. The world resembles an abandoned and desolate modern city, though no intelligent life can be found there.
Dark Spirits: Information Unknown
The Floating World – The Floating World is a world comprised of water. On top of the water, raft like structures float next to each other making it easy to hop from one to the next.
Water Spirits: Information Unknown
The Odd Worlds:
The Odd Worlds are worlds that mirror our own in certain aspects and defy what we would deem normal in others. They are still much less explored than the Earth Worlds, so not much information is known about them.
[x] The White Room
[x] Figmentary
[x] The Land of Giants
The Unexplored:
The unexplored dimensions are those that rest far from our own. Practically no information is known about them, due to the fact that they have not yet been thoroughly explored and documented.

Choosing Worlds: In order to keep this game as realistic as possible, teams will not have the ability to choose which world they wish to travel to. Upon entering the portal your team will be told what world you will be starting from. I will control the NPC of Bebe, who, upon summoning her to travel to another world, will choose what world your team will travel to after that. So that I know that you have read this, please put the phrase “Bebe is the bomb” somewhere into your profile. Please, after pressing the button to call Bebe, wait for me to make her following post. In that post she will take your team to another world and I will give a brief explanation about that world for your team. Usually, there will only be one team in each world at a time, though overlapping might occur on occasion.
Choosing Powers/Weapons: Same rules apply for choosing weapons as choosing worlds. To keep the roleplay as much like a game as possible, I will control the NPC of Bebe, who, upon summoning her, will assign each player his or her own power or weapon for each dimension. How that power or weapon is used, however, is left entirely up to the player. In order to keep all of this fair, I will not be playing as one of the team members but will simply fill my position as GM. EDIT: Change of plans, I can't resist creating my own character for this RP. To keep things fair... well people will just have to trust me. I already have the worlds planned out for each team anyways... and I can fight off a hord of zombies with a bucket of apples if I have to :). So don't worry about that.
NPCs and Other Characters: The NPC of Bebe and the NPC of the D. Radio operator back at Base will be controlled by me. The only time roleplayers can RP as Bebe is when they are simply checking back with her about previously stated information or to see how many Spirits are still left to capture in each dimension. Spirits can be controlled by any of the players. On occasion, I will come in as a non-playable Spirit (one who is usually not detected by Bebe) that is probably a natural inhabitant of its dimension. Think of it as kind of a “Boss” character.
The Starting Place: The RP will start back at Base in front of the portal, the teams waiting to pass through. When it is time for your team to pass through, the head scientist (played by me) will call you forward. He will then tell you what dimension will be your starting point and ask you to pass through the portal. I will make the first introductory post, so everyone can get the setting.
Use of Weapons: You will not be able to bring any weapons of your own into the dimensions. Most of the time, these will be lost in the process of traveling through the portals. Scientists also aren't positive if weapons such as guns will be able to function properly in some dimensions. Not to mention the fact that the Spirits need to be brought back to their dimension alive. Don't worry about it, however, because you will be supplied with weapons or superpowers upon your arrival in each dimension.
Clothing: All rescuers will be wearing similar suits on this mission. It's versatile, dexatarous, lightweight, weather resistant, and armored. There is a model made specifically for women and men body types.
The Order: Also, don’t forget there is an order to what worlds you can travel to. None of the teams are allowed to travel to The Odd Worlds until all the Spirits in the Earth Worlds are captured. Same goes from traveling from The Odd Worlds to The Unexplored ones.
Information: After traveling to each world and getting the information from Bebe, I will update the information on this introduction page for the teams to go back to and check. Example: The information about the Spirits on each level is left blank for now. The information about those Spirits won’t be filled out until a team travels to that dimension and Bebe gives them that information about it.
I’m leaving the layout of the character sheets up to the creator. When creating your character, I expect them to be unique and productive. Please, make sure that your character is not exactly like another. The more diverse the RP the better. I expect there to be a detailed bio and at least a paragraph describing your character’s personality. When using pictures, please use anime. Do not rely entirely on your picture, please also include a paragraph or two describing your character’s, height, weight, and other general things. Characters in this RP should be between the ages of twenty and thirty. Do not simply list information, it makes the profile look choppy and messy and it also makes it seem like less effort was put into it. If you do not choose to do an extensive biography or personality, I might trust you to make biography or personality evident in the RP. Believe me, I sometimes go in and stalk the profiles of those who join my RPs. If I check some of your work and don't believe you can make the personality and biography evident in the RP, I will ask you to go in and make it extensive.

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 7 authors

Lance's breathing returned to normal as he opened his eyes, only to see Yurasagi inspecting his wounds. He stood up slowly, hearing Remon's voice float through the air. He grabbed his sword and proceeded towards it. "Don't worry, it's only a flesh wound, anyway, we should stick together now, those thing are dangerous. I managed to hurt it though, and also, does anyone else feel like their being watched?". Lance leaned against his sword and everything came flooding in. "Yeah, iI guess I should be more careful".
Setting

A sigh broke through Yurasagi's lips, glad to here that Remon was still alright. But her relief faded when Lance spoke, "Being watched? Maybe its just a bat or a mouse or something?" She was still trying to hold onto hope, she barely escaped seeing the first one, but if another arachnid came out of nowhere she would freak out. "Then again, maybe if we found a bat I could be of a little use, they don't have to see, all they have to do is hear." The thought of the other teams came to mind, I wonder if the other teams are having as many problems as we are..
"Guys, next time we are sent to an alternate dimension, it better be one with sunlight. I have seen one too many movies about caves." She paused, thinking back to what Bebe said about the area. She did say there was water here, maybe parts of The Cave are flooded? That and we can't see if we are coming up on.. Her train of thought crashed, "Cliffs!?" She looked back outside the illuminated areas the back to Lance. "Me chasing after you could have gotten me killed!"
Setting

Remon glanced over his shoulder as Lance mentioned being watched, he still felt like something was looking over his shoulder.
Maybe I've watched too many cave movies as well.
Then relief. Lance learnt something, good, now we can function better as a team. Glancing over his shoulder once more.
That feeling of getting watched was stronger, or maybe he was just getting more nervous, and he slipped further into the shadows, he was better as an unseen attacker which pounced on anything pouncing on Lance or Yurasagi.
Then she burst out, "Cliffs!? Me chasing after you could have got me killed!"
Remon's mind fell to a halt. She's right, we could've got the whole team killed with our stupidity!
Then he shook his head, clearing it, if he got too distracted he could miss something important, and that could be just as deadly.
There was something out there, he was sure of that now, if it was a spider it was more intelligent then Bebe gave it credit for.
Anything animalistic would usually have attacked by now.Unless it was pack instinct. Wait, pack instinct......
Now Remon froze, and began glancing about furiously, multiple Arachnids could kill even all three of them working together!
Setting

"Alright, whatever the situation that we're currently in, we're still at a disadvantage against our targets. Their intelligence also makes it tricky for us to maneuver around our surroundings so I guess it would be best for us to search for any leftover traps that may have been left with caution. While moving, try to keep me in your line of vision, I don't want to lose you in all this darkness. I don't know how far your guy's vision goes out to here." Sage carefully starts to look around, aware that every step she takes may trigger a trap. There were sinkholes as well, if Sage recalled correctly from the information presented to her by Bebe.
With her improved night-vision Sage scanned the area. Several structures that were of rough-hew built using long polls and hacked string and cable. They resembled giant rabbit traps, large enough to capture something as heavy as a buck. They were however, well hidden, so much so that Sage a trouble discerning it from the rest of it's surroundings.
"I think there's a trap over there. I can't tell much from it but I'm certain that it's made by a spirit from the criteria given to us. It's large enough to capture things like wild dogs but it's construction isn't sophisticated enough to be the work of any previous native that used to live in this dead city. It looks kinda well used though, not sure." Sage inched forward, careful of anything debris on the ground. She motioned for the others to follow. "James, keep trying to make useful things would ya? Agni, I want you to come closer with me though. Help me take a better look at this thing. Be careful both of ya, stick close to each other too. Don't want any of you to disappear from a sudden attack ya hear."
Sage shivered, this was to much like a horror movie.
