Melody is a small cat-fox or 'kitox'. Her species is actually the very symbol of thievery so while she has lost her pack to unknown reasons, no one will listen to her.
The fact that she can communicate at all to humans is simply because she has been living near a village and has learned to speak like they do, but it is a very broken speech that could use some refinement.
Melody has learned several healing spells through a sort of evolution - she needed away to heal herself after being attacked so often so she gained the abilities to do so.
The story begins after she has found a blue and green cloth with her full name attached to it.

Melody Imosh Entenia's Story
Melody wasn't fond of being picked up, but she was able to ignore that detail when she realized how the boy was talking like he knew something. Like he knew about her species. ...He knew what species she was, at least, that was something she didn't know.
"Is 'kitox' the name of Melody's species? Do kitox's speak like Melody does? Do kitox's travel in packs or families?" She had so many questions about herself that she hardly noticed that she was speaking in third person again. It must have been because of how touchy-feely the sisters were being. Normally she might have run before getting the chance to speak with them, but Levint and Alexis where there so she held her ground.

"A Kitox lived on our farm once, but that was before Keido, Amaya, or Ayaka were born." Paiyaku said.
"I've met Kitox people only a few times. They all seemed to travel in groups, a few families, but that could have been a unique group. I don't know that much about your species, but I always try to show respect to any unique race of people I come across." Keido added.
"She's so cute!" Ayaka cheered as she tried to pick up Melody and put her on her lap.
"Girls, you need to get back outside and in the wagon," Arneth called to Amaya and Ayaka from outside the church.

Melody's head began to spin. They traveled in groups? There were families? Melody had a family? She crawled out of Ayaka's lap and looked up to Levint, a pleading expression in her eyes. "I...might have a family out there, Levint. I need to find them somehow." She turned back to the children. "Do you know where they went? How long ago did you see them?" She was beyond happy, not only did she have a lead to her home after all these years, but they called them 'people'. As if she weren't a monster, unlike what the rest of the village seemed to believe.
"They visit our farm every so often. If you would like to stay with us maybe they are your relatives. They show up at the beginning of winter and stay in the barn. I let them stay in exchange for protecting the chickens and smaller livestock. You're welcome to stay, all of you. But I will only allow you to stay if you work on the farm." Arneth said as he entered the church to retrieve Amaya and Ayaka.
"I understand Melody. I will come with you and do everything in my power to help you." Levint was glad to see Melody so happy. There was no guarantee that they would find this group of Kitox but even if there was a slim chance, he would help her. Standing up, he faced the father of the small girls and said "I thank you for your hospitality." He then looked down at Melody and asked "What do you wanna do Melody?"
Melody looked down at her feet. Her paws. She stared in contempt before letting out a sigh. "I don't know." She sat down, lifting a paw to stare at it closer before placing it on the blue and green cloth she kept around her neck. "Melody's tired."
"Well, why don't we head out of town and I could set up a camp. You can rest and decide on what you want to do next. I know it's a big decision so take as much time as you need." He turned his attention to the father of the family and asked "Where do you and you're family live? I would like to know for when we come to a decision. I understand if you don't wanna tell some strangers where you live."
Arneth wrote down directions from the town they were in and handed it to Levint.
"We've had our share of bandits before, I'm not worried about handing my address out to strangers. If you feel its too much to leave you friends you can always stop by late fall and the other Kitox' should be visiting already."

Melody continued to stare at the ground, lost in thought. They visit every fall? Is the farm special to them? Why is it every year? These questions distracted her from responding to anyone.
Levint took the paper that was handed to him and put it in his bag. "Thank you sir." Looking down at Melody, he saw that she was just staring at the floor. "Wow" Levint thought to himself, "she must be deep in thought." Squatting down, he started to lightly pet Melody in an attempt to get her attention.
"I've never asked them why they come so regularly, but you're always welcome at our farm." Arneth said as he gathered his children and left the church. Outside Ayaka's voice could still be heard. The family went further into town.
"We should buy them provisions." Keido thought aloud.
"If they need them we'll be here a few more hours." Arneth said as he walked beside the horse pulling the wagon.

Melody looked up at Levint. Her mind was still in another place so she didn't recognize what they were saying.
"We should get going Melody. Do you wanna head back to your tree?" Levint kept petting Melody. He knew she must have a lot on her mind so he didn't mind waiting for an answer.
Melody looked back to the ground, thinking about the question before giving a small nod. "Yeah." She said, her usually energy failing her. "Let's go back to the tree."
"Alright. You want me to carry you? You seem pretty tired." Levint then picked her up and walked out of town, carrying the tired Kitox in his arms. It had been a long day already and there were a few hours until nightfall.
Melody relaxed against Levint. She was tired and her mind was racing about so many things. She couldn't even summon the energy to thank him. Melody liked to be carried, though. There was something about the warmth from another body that made her undeniably happy for some reason.
Levint carried Melody out of town without any problems from the villagers and arrived at the tree he had first met her. He sat down and continued to hold Melody. He leaned back against the tree and relaxed. He looked up into the tree and thought that just a few hours ago he didn't know Melody. He was happy that she fell on him and that they had become friends.
Melody felt her eyes begin to close. They felt really heavy all of a sudden and sleep seemed to be calling to her. She laid against Levint and for the first time, as she went to sleep, she felt safe.
Levint sat back and gently put Melody on his lap. He began to pet her gently as she slept and thought of what to do next. Should they go to the farm now, or wait until fall to head to the farm. He was gonna ask Melody what she wanted to do when she woke up.
He hit the atmosphere at 750 mph, the wind resistance immediately slowed his speed to 250mph. He watched the ground grow closer and prepared himself for impact. The fields of his ship died, creating a loud boom that could be heard for miles. Then finally he slammed into the ground twenty meters from Levint and Melody. His impact with the surface created a crater with a ten foot radius and plumed a dust cloud fifty feet into the air.
