When you're in a spaceship with metal walls, it isn't that difficult to hear things echoing off the walls from a few yards away. Especially gunfire. As the sounds of combat bounced along the hallway, Angel shot her companion a look that clearly said 'follow me' before racing headfirst into whatever trouble lay before them.
Sure enough, it didn't take long before they ran into the soldiers. Who were running in the opposite direction. In spite of herself, the mechanic rolled her eyes. So much for the fearless heroes of the military.
In their defense, though, the aliens they were running from were even more threatening than the corpse they'd found earlier. Wasting no time, she helped Jay set up the tripod for the Minigun. "I sure hope this thing works," she muttered to him before turning to the rest of the crewmen. "If anyone here doesn't want to resemble Swiss cheese, I'd suggest ducking!"
