Istrain listened while she talked, barely able to believe what she was saying. When she was done, he lifted a hand and brought it gently to her cheek, his movements slow and hesitant as if he was afraid she might cut his hand off at any second. "Haera...god, Haera, I love you too," he breathed. "I love you so much, and I swear, I will never, ever do anything like that to you again," he said, shaking his head. "I'm going to be here for you and the babies and I'll do everything and anything you want to prove it to you." He was surprised to hear that Yoranda had taken Birger back; after what he'd heard about what Birger had done to her, he couldn't believe she would take him back, but that was a matter to discuss later. For now, he was just too happy to hear that Haera still loved him and wanted to give him another chance.
Haera leaned into his hand and gently held it with hers. "I know..." She said before removing her hand and placing it on her bump. "Maybe you should start talking to your babies. I think they have heard enough of Birger's voice." She smirked and Birger huffed. "Well now I have my own twins to talk to so... and they loved my stories and you know it." He said. Haera sighed, "Oh right... updates... yeah? Well Yora is pregnant too. Una and Yora, both, but get this... Yora is having twins." She said. "What is with your family and twins? I mean... I have no room to talk..." She said and smiled.
Istrain smiled when Haera leaned into his hand and held on to it. When she suggested that he start talking to his babies, he grinned. He definitely wanted to talk to them. He blinked, glancing over when Birger said that he had his own twins to talk to, and when Haera said that Yoranda and Unarelle were both pregnant, he blinked slightly. "Who the hell knocked up Una? She doesn't even really talk to men," he said, shaking his head a bit. It was tricky to lean down because of his wound, but he brought his face close to Haera's stomach and kissed the small, barely-there bump. "Hey there, little pebbles. Uhh... I'm your dad. Wow, that's weird to say," he said with a laugh.
Haera looked over at Birger when he asked who knocked up Una. "Well... Birger did.. you see he was dating both of the girls at the same time and BOTH knew... I mean Yora gave him the go ahead. I believe she even encouraged it. I don't. All I know they were all three in on the relationship. Though Una went to Birger after what James did to Yora and slept with him BY CHOICE... oh and Yora and James are friends again." She said before watching him talk to the bump. She smiled softly and gently ran her hand over his head. "They say, yo." She laughed a bit.
Istrain blinked when Haera said that Birger was the one who'd gotten Unarelle pregnant, slowly turning his head to look at the tall man. "You're lucky I'm too wounded to kick your ass right now," he said with a shake of his head and a sigh before looking back at Haera. "Yora and James are friends? How exactly have we decided that she's responsible enough to raise twins?" he asked, sighing before looking back at her stomach as she ran her hand over his head. "Their first time really getting to meet their father and they say yo? What kinds of babies are these?" he chuckled.
Birger scuffed, "You can fucking TRY and kick my ass, I can just punt you from the rock you climbed out under, buddy." He said and Haera sighed. "I will kick both yall asses if yall dont shut up." She said and Birger scuffed again. "Yeah, they are friends again. Apparently, he let her 'beat' him up. He died and Lor and Una bought him back to life and now he is stronger than before." She said before smiling. "They get it from their mother, what can I say? Such smart babies." She laughed softly. Birger sighed.
Istrain laughed when Birger answered, shaking his head a bit. "Damn, I've missed you," he said before looking back at Haera as she told him about what had happened to James. He frowned a bit. "James sounds like a budding supervillain," he said with a shake of his head. He leaned down and kissed her stomach softly. "I can't believe we're going to have kids. I mean... I did always say that if I ever had kids, I would want to have them with a woman who's tough and strong enough to take care of them and protect them when I'm not around. You're everything I've ever wanted for my future children and more."
Birger stopped the cart and pretended to gag. "So fucking... cheesy... ugh..." He groaned and Haera glared. "Your ass literally got on your hands and knees and BEGGED Yora while CRYING for forgiveness and to give you a second chance." She growled and Birger slowly slid his head into the back. "You shut up..." He said and slid out before starting up the cart again. She sighed and looked at Istrain, "You are cheesy as fuck, but it's cute. I don't know how you are going to go and be with dainty and frilly women but want a strong woman like me for your babies. Though they are nice to talk to at night and we bonded. They cool... they like some weird ass stuff, but I love them and would protect them with my life." She said softly and smiled.
Istrain burst out laughing at Birger and Haera, shaking his head. "You begged and cried Yora to forgive you? Shit, no wonder she went for it. Fuck, I wish I'd been there to see that," he said before looking back over at Haera. He laughed a little when she said she didn't know how he liked dainty ladies but wanted a strong woman for babies. "I don't want any other women but you, Haera. I've found my person and it's you," he said. "I'm glad you're getting along with the babies. I can't wait to get to know them better...even if they like weird stuff. Shit, what kind of weird stuff do they like?"
Birger growled, "You shut up, boy." He said and smirked before listening to their conversation. When he asked about what weird stuff they like he laughed. "Oh this is great. I don't have to fucking run out in the middle of the night anymore. Ugh what a blessing." He said and smiled. Haera glared and sighed, "well... one is hot sauce in peanut butter. Another is hot chips dipped in yogurt. Recently though it is honey on hot chips..." She sighed and Birger gagged. "It is rather weird." She said softly.
Istrain blinked when Birger mentioned running out in the middle of the night and he glanced over at him. "I think you have to do twice as much running out in the middle of the night now, since you've got...what, three babies on the way now?" he asked with a smirk, looking back at Haera and listening while she talked about her weird cravings. "Okay but honey on hot chips actually sounds pretty damn good. Maybe we can have a honey and hot chips date night some time after we get back," he chuckled.
Birger shook his head, "Nah... I don't have to do any of that when I get back." He said and Haera nodded. "Yeah, Yora and Una live with Gamaya and Una kinda doesn't want to have anything to do with him. Though why she acting like a victim is beyond me." She said and Birger eyed her. "What? She is the one acting like you fucking did her wrong. Yora is her own damn person and has every right to chose who to and not to forgive. I can understand if she is upset with you for doing wrong to her sister like Lor... nevermind. I just talked myself into understanding." She sighed and Birger chuckled. "Lor hates your fucking guys, Istrain... well maybe not so much hate but a little hate. Ugh I am just so proud of how she attacked you. Not sorry, but I feel like if Una could do the same she would have done that to Birger." She said.
Istrain nodded when Haera said that the twins were living with Gamaya. "Yeah, we set them up a room in her house before I left the island. How's Gamaya doing, anyways? Is she settling in well?" he asked, frowning a bit. He'd been worried about Gamaya, but he'd trusted that between Barynn, Cherono, and the twins all being there for her, she'd be okay. He nodded a bit when Haera said that Lorelei hated him. "That's fair, I guess," he said with a shrug. "I deserved it. I'm not arguing that."
