She raised her head ever so slightly at the sound, it was a soft sound yet could fill even the bravest of souls with fear, drip, drip, drip the noise continued on as the scent of salt stung Emberstar's nose and gripped her heart, blood that's what it was blood it was familiar to her yet strange at the same time, Emberstar knew the scent of blood well for she had slain many opponents yet it was so strange to her it was like she was smelling it through someone else's nose. A shadow nearby had moved into the light where it could be seen better, the shadow was actually a ruddy pelted tom cat and Emberstar instantly knew him. "Bloodfur."She hissed in both rage and sorrow. The tom smiled a devilish grin, he stood over Emberstar claws unsheathed, and fangs bared compltely ready to kill. "Hello Emberstar you have perfect timing as usual."Bloodfur said, his teeth were covered with blood and bits of fur were stuck between his teeth. Emberstar looked up into Bloodfur's shining green eyes she wanted so badly to fight back, to claw him limb from limb but something in those sweet eyes stopped her, made her remember that he was her son and for once the fiesty she-cat didn't resist, didn't struggle she merely laid there on her side and slowly bleed on the ground the sickening smell of her own blood still burning her nostrals. Bloodfur didn't wait for Emberstar to say anything, he raked his claws across her throat, blood flowed through the wound and stained his paws as he watched Emberstar die, the pitiful female had lost too many lives in her past battles so all it took was his claws to her throat to end it all and soon the pale golden star that once sat upon Emberstar's forehead now resided upon Bloodfur's chest where it acquired a new, bright gleam. He had finally gotten what he wanted, he was a leader now.


Shadowclan has been told that it's former leader Emberstar was killed in battle by the Thunderclan leader making the deputy bloodfur the new leader his paws however, aren't exactly clean and many begin to realize that once he begins to make Shadowclan miserable. So the shadowclan cats look to Starclan for assisstance and are told a prophecy

'shadows shall fight and the thunder shall roar but should silver meet blood a savior shall be born.'

now it is up to the cats of shadowclan to discover the meaning of the prophecy before Bloodstar destroys them all meanwhile a silver furred she-cat loner named Silvertail is about to give birth to a litter of kits could this have anything to do with the prophecy?
