By the time Wendy had awoken, it was perhaps an hour or two after sunrise. There was a decent amount of light in the room, but most of it was blocked by the fur curtains. Opening her eyes groggily, it took the young woman a moment to remember where she was, and everything that had happened last night. Heart beating rapidly in excitement, Wendy quickly got out of bed and pulled her boots on. Grabbing the knife that was resting in a leather case in her pack, she strapped it onto her belt in case she needed a weapon.

Peter and the Lost Boys were probably awake by now, even though it was quiet at the moment. Perhaps they had left for a morning hunt? Although if that was the case, maybe one of them stayed behind to keep her safe. Walking into the main room, Wendy felt her stomach rumble a bit, and wondered if any food was around. There were many strange fruiting plants in Neverland, so she would need to have Peter teach her which ones were edible. Wendy doubted she would be good at hunting right away, but she did know how to use a fishing rod. There were likely plenty of materials to make a similar device laying around in the forest.

No one seemed to be around at the moment, so Wendy decided it would be a good idea to stretch her legs for a bit. Following the small tunnel out towards the cave entrance, Wendy began walking on a trail that appeared to have been made by animals. It would be easy to follow this back to the hideout. After walking for a few minutes, the young woman followed the sound of water running, similar to what she had heard the night before. It wasn't long before she came upon a large pool with a waterfall at the bend. A small cave was behind the curtain of running water, and was the size of one of the cave's rooms.

Realizing she could do with a bit of cleaning off, Wendy checked the area to make sure it was safe before removing her clothes and bathing under the waterfall. The water was very warm, and just a touch cool, making it feel almost as though she were taking a bath at home. After scrubbing herself clean, the young woman swam in the deeper water for a bit before climbing out of the water and redressing. Following the path she had taken before, Wendy soon arrived back at the caves and walked in through the hidden entrance.
The world is like an oyster with a precious pearl inside. Let's not break it open with force but with gentle co-operation.

If I'm not replying as much, its because I'm currently back at college, so have more work to do.

Peter and Tink had woken up well before dawn as always. The Lost Boys woke up with them, excited about Wendy's arrival, but he wouldn't let them wake her up. So they reluctantly ate some fruit for breakfast and then divided up for their jobs. He sent some hunting, some gathering, and a couple to help him look for wood to make Wendy a bed and a stool. Tinkerbell he sent to ask the fairies if they had seen anything in the woods. While she went and did that he stayed behind incase Wendy woke up. Waking up alone probably wouldn't be a good thing and she didn't know her way around Neverland anymore. Not that he was sure she had stayed long enough the first time. Eventually Tink came back with a fairy guide and he had her stay to watch over Wendy. Once he was sure that she would do what he asked he flew off after the guide.

They flew through the woods quite a ways before they came to the recently fallen tree. It was a nice large tree that had fallen over in a storm it looked like. Studying the stump Peter was a bit unnerved to see that it seemed to be more crudely cut down than fallen down. The fairy didn't seem to notice anything though so he let it slide as some kind of anomaly. Deciding this was his tree he asked the fairy to find the Lost Boys who were looking for wood and ask them to come and help carry it back to the hideout. Quickly agreeing - the residents seemed to listen to Peter and were more than willing to do what he asked of them most of the time - the fairy flew off to search the forest. He stayed behind and began to shift the tree into a more lift-able position.

Tinkerbell found watch very dull until Wendy woke up. Then she stayed out of sight, having no desire to interact with the girl, and followed her around. The morning rituals were just as boring as the sleeping to the fairy and she wished Peter would come back soon or that Wendy would do something remotely interesting. Then Wendy left the cave and Tink followed, curious about what the girl thought she could do in Neverland. She was greatly disappointed when all the girl did was bathe and then return to the cave. Why couldn't she have eaten some poisonous mushroom or something? That would have been far more amusing than a bath.

Wendy had only been back at the cave for a few minutes before a few of the Lost Boys returned from foraging. While they laid down their bags full of herbs and fruits, they quickly assured her that the rest of them were still out hunting and finding wood, but would likely be back soon. It was at that time she was also informed that Peter was out with a fairy finding a tree for her bed. They claimed that Tinkerbell had been asked to watch over her, but was probably hiding. Somehow this did not surprise Wendy. She had never exactly gotten along the fairy, who was likely jealous of the young woman.

The boys were more than eager to share the food they had gathered, wanting Wendy to have enough energy to play with them all day long. None of the fruits they gave her seemed like they existed in her world, and were very exotic and flavorful. The boys wanted to know all about Wendy it seemed, from when she had first came to Neverland and if she was going to stay long. Wendy couldn't help but notice that some of their clothes were ripped, and offered to repair them. One of the boys fetched a needle made from bone and string from vines, and soon Wendy had a lovely pile to work on.

In an attempt to get them to settle down, she decided to tell them some stories, which was perfectly fine by them. Stitching the holes as she spoke, Wendy recited some of her favorite stories from her childhood. Many were classics or could be found in old books, simply marvelous fairy-tales. There were also many Wendy had made up to keep her brothers entertained, some of them based off Wendy's own brief adventures in Neverland. A bit of time had already passed, but Wendy did not find herself becoming bored at all. Even if children were a pain sometimes, she enjoyed spending time with the Lost Boys.

Peter and the Lost Boys the fairy had found were currently hefting the tree to the hideout. Since the boys couldn't fly they were walking along the ground. They had cut off the branches they wouldn't need to make it easier to move and Peter was at the head pulling and lifting enough so that the boys weren't overburdened. Eventually they made it to the hideout and the Boys set out to chopping the tree into smaller, more usable parts. After thanking the fairy guide he went into the cave.

Tinkerbell landing almost right away on his head and he gave her a hello before following the sound of voices. He found the group in their everything room and lingered int he doorway. He just let himself enjoy listening to her telling stories again. She was one of the best story tellers he had come across. She could get you involved in the story with ease and was just as involved herself. When needed her voice could be soothing instead of exciting but right now she was going for entertaining.Soon he recognized some of the events in her story and found he liked it when she told of their adventures together. Honestly he felt he was an ideal subject, even if he wasn't the boy who didn't grow up anymore. Eventually he straightened and moved into the room to get the tools needed to make her bed. He was loathe to interrupt her in any way but he needed the tools so he had to. The longer he put it off the longer it would take to make her furniture.

Wendy was rather engrossed in the story she was telling at the moment, and almost didn't notice Peter and more of the Lost Boys enter the hideout. The ones who had just returned obviously wanted to listen to Webdy's tales, but knew they had to help Peter cut the tree first. Even Peter himself seemed like he wished to stay, seeing as how long it had been since he last hears one of her stories.

The young woman remembered her promise to help Peter make the furniture, but there were still many clothes to repair. So, Wendy opted to continue her stories until the clothes were fixed, and then learn a bit of carpentry. It was another hour or so until she was finished, and the boys begged her to tell them more stories. Wendy compromised to tell them more after dinner if they behaved well, which seemed to be accepted as a fair deal.

By this time, the remaining boys out hunting had returned with a few hares and a deer. Wendy was not used to seeing dead animals, so averted her gaze while walking outside. Sitting down next to Peter working at the tree, she smiled. "Good morning. Let me help you with that, I did promise," Wendy reminded the young man. "I can learn fast, just tell me what to do."

Peter wasn't surprised when Wendy appeared beside him while he was working. It was as if he could always tell when she got near. For a moment he focused on the cuts he was making with his knife. He did not want to hurt himself or ruin the wood. Setting his knife down he turned to Wendy and smiled. "The boys told me they put you to work storytelling and sewing. Thanks for that." They had also told him that she would be telling more stories after dinner but he wasn't going to talk her out of that one, he was far too excited about it.

As for her offer of help he considered it as he looked out at pieces of cut wood. There was at least another days work involved and he did not mind teaching her. Selfishly he figured it would give her more time with him instead of the boys or wandering around. "Yeah I don't see why you couldn't help." For the next little bit he showed her how to make the cuts and what he needed done. He gave her a knife for the job and then settled down to watch her at work. He would correct her if need be and when she was sufficiently good at what he needed her to do he would go back to work himself.

Tinkerbell looked on bored. She found the making of furniture dull since there was no adventure in it and would have normally gone off with some of the Lost Boys. Yet she could not leave Wendy and Peter alone, if she did they could share another thimble and then she would have to do something about Wendy.

Nodding in affirmation, Wendy smiled lightly at Peter's thanks. "They were plenty eager to spend some time with me. I did promise them stories, and thought I could also help out at the same time," Sitting down, she glanced up at Peter's next comment.

Wendy was glad when Peter accepted her offer to help with the woodcarving, and soon set to work. The knife she was working with seemed to have been made especially to cut the grain of the wood, and was rather sharp, as well. She would have to focus intently to avoid hurting herself. First Peter demonstrated the techniques, teaching her to cut along the grain instead of against it, as this made the cuts smoother. After some time, he seemed convinced that she could try it for herself, and the young woman held the knife cautiously. Mimicking Peter's actions, Wendy took her time as she began sculpting the wood, listening to Peter occasionally giving her advice.

After awhile of practicing, Wendy was getting rather used to woodcarving. Fortunately Peter had brought another knife, so Wendy decided to stay and help out for some time. That would shave the total time of making the furniture in half. She rather doubted they would finish her bed by tonight, as they would also need to make some sort of mattress, but it was a start. At least they would finish the stool so Wendy could sit with all of them at the table for dinner.

Wendy was distinctly aware of the fact that a pair of eyes was watching them, and noticed Tinkerbell nearby keeping a close eye on them. The expression on the pixie's face seemed to say I'm watching you, don't overstep your boundaries. Tinkerbell indeed had been upset when the two had shared a kiss the previous night, which didn't exactly surprise the girl. Tinkerbell had always been the jealous type. "Well, it would think someone thinks she needs to keep an eye on us," Wendy commented, slightly amused, glancing over at the fairy as she spoke to Peter.

Peter was working in silence now with Wendy. He too was aware of Tinkerbell but in the way you were aware of someone who was always there. Her presence did not mean anything specific and would probably be more noticed if it were gone. He was quite impressed with how well Wendy was taking to the work and at the speed they were going. They would most definitely finish her stool and the bed frame by sundown and hopefully they would finish the mattress for the next night. When she spoke it was a bit jarring to the serenity they seemed to have found. Not unpleasantly so but it was still a bit of a shock to hear her voice.

"Oh Tinkerbell? Yeah she spends most of her time on my head so I don't really notice. She is probably just jealous of you today though." He gave Wendy a smile. He was fully aware that Tink was being extra careful to stay with them both when they were alone. He knew she had hated the thimble they had shared. Which was the complete opposite of how he felt. Now that he was snapped out of the peace of woodworking he had become very aware of Wendy in a way he wasn't used to. Perhaps it was simply because of the fact that she was back in Neverland and they were both older than before. "Want me to ask her to leave?" Peter wondered if Tinkerbell bothered Wendy even though the fairy hadn't tried anything yet. Still, he never knew how long Tinkerbell's patience would last. She wasn't a bad fairy, but very possessive.

Wendy chuckled lightly at Peter's comment, glancing over at the fairy from her work. Even though she could not understand the fairy language, Wendy was distinctly aware of Tinkerbell's unique personality. "Maybe she'll get more used to me as time goes by," She thought aloud, knowing it would be easier if the two were actually able to get along a bit better.

The girl thought over the question for a moment, not entirely minding either way. "Tinkerbell can stay if she wants to. As long as she behaves, that is," Wendy replied, giving a slight shrug. It didn't make much of a difference to her. She and Peter were so busy making the furniture that she doubted anything would happen even if they were left alone. Wendy wanted to be able to get most of their work done today, and knew she could always spend time with Peter another day.

Now that they were talking, Wendy found herself a little distracted, glancing over at Peter occasionally without really noticing it. For the most part, though, she managed to focus her attention on the woodcarving. As late afternoon approached, they had finished sculpting the wood and began tying the parts together with vines or hammering in nails where needed. Every now and then they would take a quick break, either to rest for a moment or take a drink of water. The time flew by quicker than Wendy had expected, and by the time the sun had dipped below the horizon line, they were finished for the day.

Wendy helped Peter carry the furniture into the cave and set it down in its rightful place. The Lost Boys had been preparing dinner, which consisted of roasting the deer from earlier in a spit and cooking a stew in a large pot. The hares had been added to a smoker where they were being prepared as jerky. Some fruit left over from the morning harvest would serve as desert. Wendy did her best to help with the meal, and soon they were all enjoying a true Neverland feast. The young woman sat next to Peter at the table, finding herself constantly engaged in conversation.

Everyone seemed eager to eat fast, as they were awaiting the stories Wendy had promised. That was just fine by said girl, who seemed to enjoy telling the tales just as much as the boys enjoyed listening to them. There were still so many she hadn't had time to even describe, so there was enough to entertain for a while. After some time, Wendy noticed the eyes of the younger boys were starting to droop, and she wrapped up the last story of the night. After helping Peter send the boys to bed, she wandered outside the cave into a nearby clearing, and found a spot where she could sit and watch the stars. Even the brilliant orbs of lights held their own stories, though they might never be told.

Peter laughed at the idea of Tinkerbell changing her opinion. The fairy hadn't changed her opinion about anything in such a long time that he couldn't remember what it had been about. All he could remember was that it had only happened once since he had known her and he was pretty sure that had taken a very long time. Since fairies were so small that they could only feel one emotion at a time a complex notion like changing their opinion about something, or worse someone, was extremely difficult for them to accomplish.

He nodded when she said she did not mind if Tink stayed. "Alright then. You heard her Tink, behave." The fairy gave a disgruntled rambling which he mostly tuned out. He hadn't really expected Wendy to ask for him to make the fairy leave. It just didn't seem like something Wendy would do in his opinion. Then again, he wondered for the first time how much she had changed and if he even knew her anymore. The thought didn't last long though because he wouldn't let it ruin how happy he was.

After they finished working and they took it into the cave he was ready to simply go to bed or have some fun. Soon though they were eating their dinner, conversation flowed around them and he found himself just listening to most of it except when his input seemed needed. He was simply enjoying the food, since he had worked all day long he was hungrier than normal. Once it was over they all listened to Wendy telling stories. Peter sat at the back of the group and stretched out on the floor to listen, Tink sitting on his stomach as she too listened to the stories. As much as she disliked Wendy she did love the girl's stories.

After they put the boys to bed Peter noticed Wendy wander off to look at the stars. He set Tink to watch over the hideout and he went over and sat beside her. "You don't take much time to get used to things do you? Been here one night and you can already handle all the boys. Truly impressive."

Wendy had been quite glad to take a bit of a rest from the hard labor of the day. Sitting with the Lost Boys and Peter and telling stories to them was one of the most enjoyable activities. The girl had always been a storyteller, ever since she was very young. It was likely a result of her vivid imagination, constantly inventing marvelous tales that one might have thought could only have been thought of in a dream. As she wove the words with a silver tongue, Wendy felt a bit more at home, as if she was telling stories to her brothers once more.

Gazing up at the stars and two moons, the young woman looked up at the faint sound of footsteps. Smiling as Peter sat down beside her, she glanced over at the boy. "It's simply incredible out here. There are many constellations I recognize, but they're all in different places," Glancing up at a cluster of the gleaming stars, Wendy smiled. "The ancients created legends about the stars to explain why we see pictures in them. Every group of stars has a story. I'll have to tell you some one day," Wendy smiled, grinning at Peter's comment.

"Well, I was raised with several brothers, so I'm already sort of used to it. Many of them were once like the boys here. Even if they have forgotten," Looking away for a moment, Wendy wondered if it was wrong of her to bring up the previous Lost Boys that now lived in London. Their memories of Neverland had vanished as the children began to grow up, existing as nothing more than an imagined adventure.

"Yet unlike them, I could never forget," Wendy continued. "Perhaps it was because I never wanted to. I treasured the time I spent here...it made me who I am," Turning to face Peter, her hand rested on the ground close to one of Peter's own hands. "I couldn't forget, because I didn't want to forget you. I've always remembered the time we spent together, even in my dreams. And you came back, just like you promised. This time, I don't want to leave. Because I understand now, that I belong here. This is my home now; I belong with you," The slightest blush tinged Wendy's cheeks as she spoke, paired with a meek smile.

Peter smiled at her and did not bother to look at the stars. He had seen the same ones for an eternity now. He could have drawn them onto a chart by memory alone. "Well, they have moved because we are pretty much on the other side of them. We moved, not them. They have stories? You will most definitely have to tell me when you want to". He looked up at them now, thinking about how each had a story. He had never known that they all tales but he wasn't surprised. Everything had a story he supposed, some just weren't the kind you told. Besides, any story she wanted to tell him he would listen to.

Peter's smile faded and he stayed quiet as she talked about the Lost Boys who had left him behind. Thinking that they had forgotten him and knowing that they had forgotten him were two very different things. It was a blow to his ego that he was so easily forgotten and that he had been so easily left behind. Would he have forgotten everything if he had gone with them? It was a thought too horrible for him to contemplate. A worse thought was that he would have ended up being her brother and even he knew that what he felt for her was not accepted as brotherly. He wasn't sure what it was but it wasn't that.

He looked at her when she turned to him and the heat from her hand made him want to grab hers. Still, he resisted the urge and focused on her face and her words. Not that it was a hardship. She may not have had the most beautiful voice he had ever heard but it never failed to draw him in. It was his Wendy's voice and that alone made it the best voice in the universe. Her blush was cute but he was unsure of hos to respond. So he did something he normally didn't do, he considered what he said. He was extremely happy that she hadn't forgotten him even when everyone else had but he was still afraid that she would decide to leave when her memories started to drift away. They always did in Neverland, Peter himself was unsure of how he had remembered Wendy. Most likely because she was different from an adult to him, that and he had promised. Eventually he just decided to say what he was thinking. He shifted how he sat, pulling his knees up and wrapping his arms around them while he looked up at the stars. It was more of a vulnerable way of sitting so he hadn't really sat like that before.

"Of course I came back, although I thought I would just be seeing you. I never actually thought that you would come back to Neverland with me. It was something so impossible to me that I didn't even consider it until I asked you. The fact that you remembered me was amazing - I hate being forgotten but it would have been worse if it had been you doing the forgetting. Yet...some part of me expects you to want to leave once you start to forget your home. Your family is extremely important to you after all. That you say you belong here with me is the best thing I've ever heard Wendy but...it wasn't enough last time."

Wendy gazed up at the stars at Peter's comment. How so incredibly far away they must be that the stars looked so different. There were even some stars that she didn't recognize. "Of course I'll tell you their stories. Thre are so many that I still wish to tell you, and we have all the time in the world," there was something about sharing her stories with Peter that Wendy simply enjoyed. Perhaps her love of the stars began when she wished to find her way back to Peter's own star.

It was obvious that Perer was hurt to hear that the old Lost Boys no longer remembered him nor Neverland. Everything was normal for the first few months. But gradually, their memories faded, until no original ones were left. Wendy was scared that she would have forgotten as well, forget Peter. The very thought terrified her. Yet it must have been the love she felt for the boy that kept hermemories safe. Without her, it didn't take a genius to see that Peter hadn't been as happy, no matter how hard he tried to hide it. Wendy knew how Peter's emotions influenced Neverland's weather, and it made her wonder if they err also related to some of the changes.

As he spoke, Webdy could tell Peter had wished to take her back. But he would never do it by force, that was a choice she had to make by herself. "Ever since you left, I've regretted my decision to leave Neverland. And when I saw you last night I felt as though I had been given a second chance," At his next statement, her mouth dropped agape. "Peter! I could never forget you, not even if I tried. You're too important for me to forget," gently grabbing his hand reassuringly grabbed his hand.

"This time, I brought something to help me remember just enough. Even if I do forget, it wouldn't be a great loss. They're not the people I once knew. They wanted me to be with another man, one I didn't care about. I couldn't take a stranger as a husband. But I know I won't leave now, never. I couldn't be with someone else because I remembered you, and how you made me feel," Wendy internally flinched as she remembered how Hook had taunted Peter with the word 'husband'. But Peter had stolen her heart, just as he stole her away that one night. Wanting to convince Peter of her words, Wendy leaned forward, eyes close and pressed her lips to the young man's.

It was an odd thing about Peter that he let people do as they wished even if he disliked it. For how selfish he was in general it was a surprisingly un-selfish act. Mind you he hadn't always been happy about the outcome. Peter hadn't expected Wendy to reach out and touch him and their point of contact felt like it was burning. The only thing more unexpected was how vehement she was about never forgetting him. Her words partially confused him - he had been important to the Lost Boys as well. So was his importance to her somehow different than it had been with the boys?

Peter himself almost flinched at the word husband. Ever since the very incident Wendy was recalling he couldn't stand the word. It haunted his nightmares when he had them, and he could never think of it in the same context as Wendy. He was about to reply when she pressed her lips to his. His entire body tensed from the initial shock that ran through him but easily enough he relaxed and his own eyes closed. Just like before he felt the need to be closer to her despite how close they already were. One hand went to cradle her head as he pressed his lips tighter to hers. His position shifted so that he could pull her closer with his free arm. He wasn't sure how long they stayed like that but when he finally pulled back enough to breathe he was pink again. Why did he glow bloody pink every time she gave him a thimble? Peter kept her close to him and rested his forehead on hers. "I make you want to give me a thimble? I can't say I mind, especially since you make me feel the same way. I'm so glad you want to stay Wendy." The last bit was whispered for some reason that even he did not know.

Wendy smiled to herself as she felt Peter relax into the kiss. As he laid a hand on her head and pulled her closer, Wendy responded by curling her arm around Peter's upper torso. Jolts of excitement and pleasure ran through her nerves, causing her to shiver lightly, even though she wasn't cold. All the time she had been in London, Wendy had never been romantically involved with another man. These feelings she was experiencing were completely new, and even a little scary, but fun at the same time.

When they finally separated, it took a little time for Wendy to catch her breath again. Peter was glowing pink like before, and she hoped that was a good sign. As their foreheads touched, thevyoubg woman smiled at Peter's words. "I'm glad to hear it. You make me feel happy, like I can't explain. Did it...feel good for you too?" Wendy asked tentatively, but she thought she already knew.

It had been a busy day, and Wendy was starting to feel a bit tired. But she didn't want to go to bed and leave Peter. Right now, she was so content and at peace. Was this what love felt like? And that was just from simple kissing. Wendy had heard her female friends gossip about other types of kissing that felt even better. Yet she didn't want to move too fast for Peter. Although she wouldn't mind if he was up for the idea. Just being held in his arms had her happy enough.

Peter grinned at her question. It struck him as somewhat amusing since his reaction was kind of obvious. "Wendy, I'm glowing pink. If that doesn't tell you I liked it then I will. Being just around you feels even better than flying does and I don't glow even then." He could sort of see why Tinkerbell disliked Wendy so much. It was a poorly kept secret that Tink loved Peter in a way he just didn't understand. When it was just him, her and the Lost Boys she had been perfectly fine with that and the fact that his attentions got inevitably moved elsewhere. He had had female friends, like Tiger Lily, but he had always just seen her as one of the boys. Wendy's appearance had changed all that.

At first he had just loved listening to the stories he heard through the window one night. He had liked them so much he had told the Lost Boys them when he returned during the day. Every night he would return to hear the next part of the story or to hear the start of the new one. Yet once his shadow had escaped him, causing him to meet Wendy, something changed. He had ended up not just liking her stories but liking her. He liked having her around and listening to what she had to say. Even though Peter had cared nothing for her brothers and had wanted them not to come, Wendy had. Since he had wanted Wendy to come to Neverland the boys had come to.

Once in Neverland he had been more drawn to Wendy than before so when she mentioned growing up and leaving it had...hurt. She had wanted him to grow up, like he wasn't good enough as he was now. The fact that Hook had taunted him with her growing up and getting a husband had also confused him. Why had it bothered him so much? Yet as he had aged inside Neverland and she had aged outside of it he had never forgot her. True she had passed from thought to thought, from the forefront of his mind to the back but she had never left.

Peter looked at Wendy and noticed that she looked somewhat tired. He had no inkling of where her thoughts were and wouldn't have understood them if he had. "Tired?"

Wendy had to laugh a bit, both at Peter and herself. "True. Maybe I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't doing something wrong," A light shrug accompanied her words. Both of them were very new to these experiences, Wendy not having taken up a suitor and Peter living on another planet. The thought made her wonder how large Neverland actually was, and if other people or creatures lived here as well.

It was a relief that Tinkerbell had given them some time alone, but Wendy didn't want to push her luck. Past experience had told her the wrath of an angry fairy was certainly something to avoid. At the very least, so that she didn't cause a rift between Prter and the fairy's friendship. It was easy to tell that the pixie viewed the boy as more than just a friend, and saw Wendy as a threat. Yet something told the girl all the magic in Neverland couldn't change the impossible. Perhaps next time they would need to go somewhere further from the caves.

Peter's innocence about their relationship was obvious, and Wendy was prepared to deal with it. She doubted the boy would have asked the Indians any questions, being far too proud, and the pirates would have shot with a cannon in reply. Perhaps Peter would trust her enough to turn his inquiries to her. Even though Wendy didn't have a vast knowledge about love or the workings of marriage, she knew the basics well enough.

Glancing up in reply, Wendy nodded slowly. "I suppose I am a bit tired. It's getting late, we might as well be going to bed now," The two of them walked into the caves together, stopping near the rooms. It was very gracious of Peter to lend Wendy his bed, even though he was oblivious to what sharing a bed implied. Smiling , Wendy leaned forward and planted a light kiss on Peter's cheek.

"Sleep well, I'll see you come morning," After proceeding to enter Peter's room, Wendy removed her shoes and knife before crawling under the fur blanket and resting her head on the warm pillow. Even though she knew Peter was just in the other room, she felt strangely lonely without him here. Somehow, though, sleep decided to wash over her, eyelids heavily fluttering shut.
