Celine

Celine lay under her covers listening to the sounds of her fellow dungeon mates breath's slowing to the pace that alerted her to their sleeping state. It had taken a while for everyone to turn in for the night, being a Friday and everything, but finally everyone in the dorms had turned it. It was well after eleven before she was able to crawl from her bunk, fully dressed in her favorite Muggle outfit of skinny jeans, suede boots, a turtleneck sweater to protect against the chill and small vest for added flair. School had only begun a couple of weeks before and it was her first bit of mischief during her last year of school, the blonde Slytherin could not wait to begin. Creeping as slowly as she possibly could from the end of her bunk she was able to make it to the doorway of her room with only a small scare when one of the girls in her year let out a snort in her sleep. Making it into the common room and out of the secret wall was no issue after that.

It had been established the previous day, when hanging out with her friends around the school grounds, that they should all sneak into the room of requirement for a game of truth or dare. None of them were sure who originally introduced the room, they had found reference to it in one of the parents old diaries and had been using it since their third year of school as a place to escape from their worries and troubles. At least Celine had, she suspected the rest had as well and although they had all used the room a couple of times together previously, never had it been on such a scale as this. She shivered with anticipation as she made her way up through the dungeons praying that she didn't run into a nosy prefect or wandering teacher on her way.

Finally, with a very little trouble she made it to the room of requirement and stood in front of the wall tapping her wand against her right leg thinking to herself. She had to make sure the room had exactly what they all needed, and that they wouldn't be found out accidentally while inside it. She could only imagine the trouble they would all be in if such a large group was caught. Smiling and snapping her fingers together she paced back and forth in front of the spot three times thinking hard about exactly what they needed and a tapestry appeared in front of her. Grinning she pushed it to the side and found a small door that she was able to pass through and into the room.

The room was perfect, just what she wanted, a sunken fire pit sat in the middle and the lights were low. Around the fire pit were eight comfy looking seats consisting of armchairs and loveseats and even one long couch that would fit three. She circled the room and saw several cupboards filled with all sorts of items that would be good for a dare, eye of newt, toe of frog, she wondered if she would get anyone to try and eat one of them. Giggling to herself she closed the cabinet and flipped her blonde hair over her shoulder, it was extraordinary the secrets one could discover in the castle if they only knew where to look and how to use it.

Looking around she did wonder how she had possibly been the first one to make it there, usually one of the others always beat her to the spot. She didn't ponder it too long however, sure that she would be joined by her friends just as soon as they could weave their way past the teachers and other obstacles created to keep students in bed during after hours such as these. Humming to herself, Celine pulled out a bottle of bright green nail polish and began painting her nails. She always kept a bottle on her person since the teachers were constantly making her remove the Muggle creation every chance they got. It didn't bother her though, having so much time on her hands anyways, she had become quite adapt at painting her nails and was constantly experimenting with new designs.

And this is how the seventeen year old Slytherin contented herself alone in the hidden room of the castle while awaiting for her friends to join her and their game of truth or dare to begin.

Monty

Monty didn’t bother going to bed that night, instead simply remaining in the common room for a while. Never sleeping more than five hours, and that on a good day, Monty didn’t usually go to bed until midnight at the earliest. Staring into the fireplace, his mind was a thousand miles away, his hand almost unconsciously rolling a coin across his knuckles.

This was the start of his last year at Hogwarts. As soon as graduation had come and gone Monty planned on changing his last name to Henderson, that of his mother, and breaking every tie he had with his current family. Unlike many seventh year students who were busy planning their careers after Hogwarts, Monty had a different plan. For the past five years he had been, little by little, storing away some of his father’s money. It wasn’t like he was stealing it, though. Being a wealthy man, his father was quite generous when it came to giving money for this and that, especially since he found out about his mother. While it was never spoken aloud, Monty could tell that his father was trying to buy his silence. To be honest, it worked. Monty had enough saved to disappear for a while, go wherever he wanted go, do whatever he wanted to do.

For a while he considered waiting for Celine and walking to the Room of Requirement with her, but decided against it. He hadn’t spent much time with his closest friend at the school, a girl in Hufflepuff named Tarvel, and figured he’d rather sneak over to the entrance of her dormitory and wait for her there. Not wanting to miss her, Monty left early, around ten. It was a slightly dangerous time to wander around, considering curfew was at nine which meant that there would be more activity than if he waited, but by this point in time Monty had perfected his route to the Hufflepuff dorm and wasn’t worried.

Just to be safe though, he was wearing slightly baggy black jeans and a dark gray long sleeved shirt, as well as his favorite shoes, his converse. There was one point that Monty was almost caught though, but a simple spell caused a noise to occur down the hall which distracted the prefect long enough for Monty to slip away. After that, it was smooth sailing to the Hufflepuff dorm, where Monty found himself a nice spot in a dark corner and waited for Tar. Tonight was going to be fun, he thought. While the group had been together for a while, there was still plenty for them to learn about each other in a game of Truth or Dare. While it sounded a little childish, it was actually just the thing to get their minds off of school work and the drama that came with living at Hogwarts.

Tarvel

Tarvel had been a bit against the idea to slip away at night to the Room of Requirements, but eventually had given in. Though, she was still scared a bit that someone would find out. But, once the whole group had said yes, she would just go along. Plus, maybe she would get to know people a bit better, like Monty, her best friend. She hadn't seen him a lot, so she was actually quite excited to spend some time together with him. So eventually, she had agreed with the group to go to the Room of Requirements.

It was still quite early, around ten, but she stayed where she was. She had to wait for everyone to fall asleep before she could go. She could have waited in the common room, but she liked to lie on the bed. This was her last year at Hogwarts, and she was going to miss this place badly. The Castle, and the nature around it she loved to explore, she was really going to miss this great place. And she was going to miss her friends, especially Monty. She didn't even know what she should become after graduation. Maybe a vet, or a teacher. She doubted though she was smart enough for that.

She was going to miss the amazing creatures she had fallen in love with. She had been studying them all, and loved every single creature in its own way. Though, some creatures scared her a bit, like the Giant Spiders in the Forbidden Forest. But still, she loved them all in their own way, and she hoped to maybe even get a pet, like a dragon. But she also knew they needed a lot of care, and she easily forget things at times.

Time seemed to go by so slow, she got up from bed and went to the common room. It was around eleven at that time, so it should be late enough to sneak away. No one had noticed her, so she left the common room and looked around to see if she could spot Monty, having a feeling he was waiting for her. Then they could walk together to the Room of Requirements. She didn't like to walk alone either, she feared it a bit to walk alone. Finally spotting Monty, she smiled faintly and went to him. Wearing a dark simple pants and a black t-shirt, she might be hard to spot. Which was just what she needed.

Niles

It was that awful half sleep state. Where Niles was semi aware that he was awake but was still in the grasp of sleep. He tossed around, getting his already tangled self deeper into the mess of his sheets. But it was a sharp swat to the face that shocked him awake. Sitting bolt upright, in his semi-drowsy state, Niles nearly fell from his bed. The was a muted howl from his sheets and as he orientated himself, fished inside to find his cat Cleo buried within the material. The cheeky thing hadn't been pleased with his moving so decided to show her dissatisfaction with a paw to the face. It had definitely gotten his attention. But she had already forgotten the incident and had moved to where she was now curled, purring peacefully, at the base of his bed. With lethargic limbs he began rubbing his eyes to clear the blurry vision. He blinked another few times and wasn't able to suppress the yawn that overtook him. He couldn't believe he was so exhausted, it had only been a week back at school! To match his tired limbs, his mind was equally slow. It took him a bit to realise what the niggling thought in the back of his mind was telling him. The effect was a mini panic attack as he remembered what they had planned for tonight. He frantically fumbled for his wand that was rested somewhere on his side table. After finally locating the blasted thing he gripped it and quickly drew the sheets over his head so he could perform the spell that would emit light so he could read the time on his Rolex watch (a guilty present from his parents). The big hand had just ticked over to 11pm and he let out a relieved breath. He wasn't late just yet. Letting the light fade, he flipped the sheet off and stumbled out of bed. The hands of sleep still hanging onto him. But somehow he got up, and sliding in his fluffy socks made his way to his wardrobe. Pulling out whatever he grabbed first, which just so happened to be his Kizz shirt and just a pair of grey slacks, he quickly dressed and headed downstairs. He wasn't exactly quiet but he knew that no one would bother him or even bother waking as they were used to his mischievous cat waking him up at odd hours.

He was walking in a daze, barely noticing anything, it was a wonder that he didn't run into any trouble on the way. His mind wasn't focused on anything, just listening to the muted thumps of his feet that echoed through the hallways. It was pretty dark, but he didn't mind so much because it seemed to keep him in that dreary state of sleep and that was fine by him. Niles was no way a night owl, but there was no way he was going to miss a game of truth or dare with his good mates. There was a lot of catching up to do after the holidays despite it already being a week. It was such a good idea and he forgot who actually mentioned it, not that it mattered but he liked to think he could take some credit for it. That brought a small smile to his lips as he went shuffling along to the room of requirement, still not noticing that he hadn't removed his fluffy socks and all in all looked extremely dorky. His thoughts were on the fact that no doubt he would be the last there but it didn't bother him as long as no one had started without him.

He finally reached the Room. It was cloaked by a surprisingly modern looking tapestry. His smile that had stayed on his lips the entire journey from when it appeared to now, morphed into a smirk. He definitely knew who came here first, the one girl who seemed to really love all the muggle and modern stuff. Gingerly he pushed past the tapestry and slowly creaked the door open, not wanting to startle the ones inside. This was going to be awesome, and the last clingy remnants of drowsiness seemed to wash away as he entered the room.

"Look out everyone, the fun has arrived!" He chimed, his megawatt grin lighting up his face.

Monty

Monty leaned against the wall in silence, wishing he had that magic map he’d heard so much about in the stories. Not to diss Harry Potter, but anyone and their mother could sneak around at night if they happened to have a map that showed everyone’s location. He knew that the best thing in this situation would be to go into animagus form and post up somewhere. Were he to do that, if anyone passed by they’d just see a raven and probably assume it stuffed.

Of course, then he’d risk getting caught, and possibly getting into a good bit of trouble. Even now he had kept this secret from his closest friends, just in case. It was one of those things, the less they knew the better. Only half jokingly had Monty already made himself ok with the possibility of eventually winding up in Azkaban for some reason or another, and so the less people that knew about his ability to shift into a bird, the better. This was also one of the things that made him nervous about these truth-or-dare games. It meant that he almost always had to pick dare.

After a while, the entrance opened and out stepped Tar, who spotted him and walked over. It was probably best not to talk at the moment, so Monty led them through the halls to the entrance to the secret room, that wasn’t exactly a secret considering it seemed like everyone in the school knew about it. He was surprised the damn thing wasn’t monitored at this point. It worked out. Tar didn’t really like breaking the rules too much. It seemed to get everyone else’s rocks off, though, but it was nice having someone to keep everything at least somewhat level headed.

A few moments later, Monty and Tar walked into the room, noticing a few people there already. “Mornin’ folks,” Monty said, grinning. “Nice to see our ladies in real clothing, as much as I love our body hiding robes,” he chuckled and walked in.

Celine

Cece beamed at her now done Slytherin themed nails. She felt she had really outdone herself this time. The fumes from the polish, however, where a little strong and she found herself gagging as the heat from the fire intensified the scent. Snatching up her wand from where it had fallen on the ground, Celine muttered a little incantation that sent a cool breeze through the room evaporating the strong scent from the polish and leaving the air fresh. Normally Cece would avoid doing little spells such as the one she had just used, she liked to be more independent and find none magical ways of doing things, but as she was a witch and a student of Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardy she felt she could indulge herself everyone once in a while.

It turns out Celine had cast the spell just in time because a few moments later Niles walked through the entrance to the room of requirement. "Look out everyone, the fun has arrived!" Niles announced to a basically empty room grinning widely. Celine grinned in response and gave a little wave of her hand, "So far its just us, no one else has arrived yet. I was beginning to worry I had the dates mixed up!" It was nearly impossible to not smile around Niles, he was also so cheerful and really knew how to bring a person out of their depression. "But since your here now I guess it wont be long until the others arrive as well." Celine added as an afterthought, getting up from her current seat, stretching out and walking to a different one. Before too many more people arrived she wanted to be sure that she had the seat she wanted to sit through for most of the rest of the night. Who knew how long their little game of truth or dare would go on.

Turns out hardly five minutes passed before Tar and Monty entered the room. Monty with a “Mornin’ folks," and a "Nice to see our ladies in real clothing, as much as I love our body hiding robes,” he was chuckling as he said the last part and Celine grinned in response. "Agreed, and same to our gentlemen friends, its always nice to get out of those damned boring uniforms every once in a while." And it was true, Celine took every opportunity she could to wear muggle clothing, sometimes even wearing them under her robes instead of the horrid school uniform. Plaid, really? She shuddered at the very thought of the plaid skirts and white crisp cotton shirts they were forced to wear. No, she much preferred her jeans and boots, thank you very much. "Do you guys know if anyone else said they would show up or if this is it for the night?" As much as the group loved to get together sometimes it was just impossible to get everyone in the same location.

Tarvel

Tar walked beside Monty as they walked to the Room of Requirements, all the while silent. She didn't have anything to say anyway. Her thoughts were somewhere else though. She had read a book a couple of days ago and she couldn't get it out of her head. It had been about creatures in the magical world. Dragons had caught her fullest attention, and she still could remember one. The Ukrainian Ironbelly, a beautiful white dragon. That dragon was still in her head. She didn't know why, she just guessed she liked its appearance, and beautiful the dragon was. And big for sure. Though keeping it as a pet would be something that wouldn't be possible, though last night she had dreamed about.

She was dreaming that she was standing outside, listening to the birds around her. At once she heard a roar and just a few seconds later a dragon landed before her. An Ukrainian Ironbelly! It was beautiful, white colour. Large claws and teeth, and eyes that looked at her. And she looked in its eyes. The dragon laid down and she climbed on its back. Seconds later they were flying! The wind blew through her hair and everything seemed just amazing. When she looked down everything looked so tiny, and she had thought that it were ants and such. The dragon roared and did something amazing. She hadn't seen her brother for eight years. The dragon landed before a house and Tier came out! Tier, her older brother she hadn't seen ever since she was nine. She got of the dragon's back and hugged him tight. He told her he was proud that she went to Hogwarts. But than, everything went black and she woke up. That night she had been crying and that day she had been just as silent as she was in the beginning.

Tar shook her head slightly to clear the memory. She could feel tears stinging her eyes, but held them back. They were almost there, at the Room of Requirements. She didn't want to walk in crying.

They arrived and a few people were already there. Seems like they were last, which she didn't mind at all. She smiled faintly at everyone and looked around the room. It was warm and she liked it a lot. There was a fire. Tar sat down a bit away from the others as she usually did, and hoped secretly that Monty would sit beside her. Still trying to clear the memory of her dream.

Niles

His grand entrance unfortunately didn't have the whole audience, but it had the person who mostly mattered. There, looking rather comfortable, in the plush chair sat his best friend Cece. He was rather surprised that he had actually arrived before the others, albeit Cece. The whole room was filled with a cosy warmth and Niles had to give kudos to his bestie for coming up with a room that really had everything they needed, and appeared extremely comfy. He also spied a cabinet that most likely was filled with some interesting things for their truth and dare game. She definitely went all out and Niles was impressed. This was looking to be a promising night, if people showed up and they had the right date. Knowing them it wasn't unlikely that they had gotten the date wrong! But either way, they would have a good time together, they always did, it was Niles everlasting mission to always bring the fun.

"Well, I hope not either! But either way, we can still have some interesting times on our own if the others don't turn up, which I think is very unlikely since, well come on, we're going to have a game of truth or dare! How can they even think of missing out?" His voice had that bubbling ring to it which made everything he said have that hint of happiness to it and even if you weren't looking at him you could tell he was smiling. He watched Cece go to a new seat and followed her, plonking down beside her on the now slightly cramped seat. "Scooch over you!" He said while moving her feet from the seat and placing them over his own legs, so that now he was sitting normally and she was more vertical with her legs strewn across him. Just as they were getting comfortable Monty and Tar arrived. Niles raised his arms in a sort of cheer.

"Excellent! More fun has arrived." Now they had both Slytherin and Hufflepuff here, maybe they were getting stricter with the other houses? Ah well, Niles thought, we'll at least see them in classes tomorrow, giving me the perfect opportunity to brag about how amazing tonight is. Before the other pair answered he quickly gestured to the empty seats. "Rest your weary selves on these very plush and comfy seats. Courtesy of Cece." He grinned and gave her a wink.

Monty

Cece was quick to return Monty’s greeting, and he was happy to note that she played a long with him. Niles spoke up before Monty could respond, perky as usual. Monty’s feelings when it came to Niles were never very consistent. Sometimes Monty couldn’t help but get a little motivated about life when Niles talked, but there were a few occasions where it passed through Monty’s mind that Niles might just be a little too optimistic. It would have been annoying if Niles was in denial about this characteristic; however, because the boy was well aware of his own cheerfulness it made him bearable, if not entertaining, to be around. Everyone in the group had their own quirks and was generally well accepted for them. It was a nice friendship.

Besides, overt optimism is far superior than the opposite, Monty thought while watching Tarvel walk over and sit apart from the group. Sometimes that girl annoyed the hell out of him like this. There were only three people other than her in the room and she goes and sits by herself? Now either the group is going to be divided, if he were to sit next to her, or he’d feel like a complete asshole leaving her off by herself and sitting with Niles and Cece.

On the other hand, the way those two were sitting somewhat made Monty consider sitting over with Tarvel, anyway. With Cece’s legs draped across Niles’s lap, Monty didn’t want to feel like a c-block. Even overt optimists were aware of and subject to the guy code, though it was hard to tell if that applied in this situation. Monty couldn’t necessarily remember Niles ever mentioning having feelings for Cece, and the group was close enough that physical contact between its members didn’t automatically mean anything sexual, yet if those two were to ever start dating it wouldn’t be all to surprising.

To answer Cece’s question, Monty spoke up, “I haven’t really talked to anyone, so I couldn’t tell you.” Fuck it. I’ll go over by Tar and get her to loosen up a bit so that she’s more open to joining in once this game gets going. While often a source of frustration, Tar was Monty’s closest friend at the school. He considered her close, yet Monty wasn’t really one to let anyone in, not even her. When talking about his past, he only gave the most important details, never diving too deep, and he didn’t really talk much about his summers spent slumming it in various places. Tar was not aware of him being an animagus, nor did Monty really have any intention of telling her. It just didn’t feel natural to him, letting people get too deep inside. The young man was well aware of his intimacy issues, yet never sought help for them. It was better, anyway. There was no need to get into romances; they just let to drama and worrying all the time. This isn’t to say Monty was inexperienced with girls, having lost his virginity two summers ago, summer being where Monty preferred to keep his physical encounters with women.

On his way over to Tarvel, Monty stopped right in front of Niles and Cece and made a little motion with his hand, pointing out Cece’s legs over Niles’s lap, “Did we interrupt anything? Cause we can leave, if you want us to.” It was a joke, but he was also curious to see how they’d react.

Celine was just getting comfortable in her new seat when Niles decided to join her. He grabbed her ankles said "scooch over you!" and before she had a second to respond her legs were lying across his lap. It wasn't a totally uncomfortable position, and was one they often found themselves in when sitting next to each other. She just grinned and shook her head slightly exasperated but unable to do anything but grin at his positive attitude. Now seeing her best friend close up in the light of the fire she couldn't help but let out a gasp. "Speaking of clothing, Niles what are you wearing!" Being the fashion-ista that she was, Celine was entirely taken aback by Niles attire. Sweats and sleepwear? How could he! She had a miniature panic attack when she saw the fluffy socks, letting out a small squeak before coming to the realization that they were not blue in color. She glowered at him, silently accusing him of trying to freak her out on purpose. She could tell from the small claw scratch across his face that his cat, mischievous as ever, had been the one to get him out of bed and supposed that his current state of dress could be attributed to the fur-ball. "You know I am going to have to speak to that feline of yours if it's behavior continues to have you in this state of... attire at odd hours of the night." She gave him a light nudge on the shoulder with her wand to show she was just playing with him. Cece grinned back at his remark on the seating and beamed inwardly proud of her production. Outwardly she frowned slightly as Tar, shy as ever, made her way to the opposite side of the fire away from Niles and herself. She watched Monty as he seemed to have an internal struggle with himself on where to sit, Cece didn't think it would be with them. "C'mon Tar, you can sit over here with us, you should know by now we don't bite!"

"That's too bad, I haven't heard from anyone either, I do hope more show up though." Celine replied to Monty's reply. He seemed to have finally made up his mind about where he wanted to sit and Cece was shocked when he stopped in front of them. “Did we interrupt anything? Cause we can leave, if you want us to.” He asked, such a Slytherin thing to say! Celine blushed slightly hoping he wouldn't be able to tell from the light of the fire. Although it was true Niles was handsome, Celine just didn't see him that way. He was like a brother to her in many ways and she would never want to destroy their friendship by trying to make it into something more. She gave Niles a side look trying to figure out how he was reacting to the comment. Although the group had been as close as thieves for basically all seven years of school and comments like these were not uncommon they always caught the blonde off guard. Cece sat up just enough to be able to give Monty a little punch on the arm. "Oh please, you know we are like siblings! Don't even talk like that it's so.... weird! She made a silly face at him and settled back into the seat, wiggling until she found the perfect back-resting position.

Tar just stared blankly at the fire. The thought of her brother showing up kept her busy in her head. Ever since that dream, it seemed like she was haunted by it. She didn't like it. Though, it had given her a little spark of hope on finding him. Hope that she hadn't known ever since he left. And yet, it made her feel sad about it. He had promised to always be close, and he had broken the promise. She had hated him for that, but had forgiven him too. She just couldn't stay angry at her older brother. If she would ever see him again, she would never leave him, no matter what. She wasn't going to loose him twice, no way. She wouldn't be able to cope with that, would she loose him again. Than it would end for her.

A thought popped up. Her sisters. She smiled faintly, remembering when her sisters were so excited to see her for the first time. And her brothers too. Sometimes, she wished she could go back in time and do all the fun stuff again. When the family was happy, and not haunted by sadness and depression. When they would eat together and talk and play. When they were one big family.

Another memory. Her brother who had died in a car crash. He was instantly dead. The poor boy would never see her go to Hogwarts and become a real witch. She sighed softly and shook her head to clear it.

Tar looked at Cece and nodded with a faint smile. Though, she couldn't help it. She was just shy, even around her friends. She watched Monty walk to her and got up. She sat down beside Cece and Niles, than looked up at Monty with a faint smile. Now the group wouldn't be divided. She looked at the seat beside her, than back at the fire. This would be better, and probably more fun for the others, she hoped at least.

The muffled patter of her own hurried feet was the only sound Dalia heard in the sleeping castle. Silently she cursed herself as she flew down one hallway and turned the corner to the next. Her comrades had decided on a little game of truth-or-dare to spice up what, so far, had been a somewhat uneventful seventh year. The dark haired girl had quickly agreed, wanting anything to fight off the boredom that was setting in between her classes and school work. This was her reason for sneaking out tonight. No soothing moonlit ride through the clouds or rummaging through the library for a book she craved. Tonight would be for fun with her friends and she had strictly forbid herself from bringing a book along. Although Dalia had not outlawed a little reading before going, just to pass the time until she could sneak out. Up until a few moments ago the seventh year had been hiding beneath her blanket, wand in hand and nose stuck firmly in a copy of Dreadful Denizens of the Deep. Her bunkmates were used to her late night reading so no one suspected anything as she buried herself in yet another book. Like so many nights before Lia had lost track of time while she read. She had no clue how long she had been turning pages but when she finally looked up, her roommates were all fast asleep.

After her realization Miss Massri bounded out of bed and began digging through the chest that held her common clothes. Not knowing how late she was the Ravenclaw quickly dug through the box and picked a shirt at random. She pulled it over her head and only took a quick glance at it before deeming it wearable. It was a loose, black and white t-shirt that featured Elvis Presley and often slipped off her left shoulder. After rummaging for a pair of silk slippers beneath her bed Lia took off like the wind down the tower steps. She had gotten safely out of the common room and through most of the castle without incident. Dalia never did understand why people had such trouble sneaking around the school. Prefects and any wandering teachers were easy to avoid if you knew how to hide and move quietly. Of course none of the students Dalia had met over the years had taken hunting lessons in Papua as she had. While stalking through the dense jungle like a wildcat, Lia had never once imagined she’d be using her lessons to keep hidden as she snuck about school after curfew.

Suddenly she stopped dead. Before her were three hallways, each looked exactly the same as the one next to it. If it were day time she wouldn’t have an issue navigating the halls but in almost total darkness there was a small issue with her sense of direction. Until now Dalia had been flying down hallways basically on auto-pilot. Her mind was miles away, preoccupied with how her first week of her last year had been going so far. It wasn’t that eventful. She supposed that was why this wicked game night was planned. Yet that wasn’t what was on her mind. She had been preoccupied with the somewhat saddening thought that this will be her last year at wonderful Hogwarts. After graduation Lia will have to leave behind her studies and join the working world. The question was which world she would be joining. Her parents wanted her to rejoin them on their mission work, her magic being a big help to the needy. Of course any of her magic would be kept secret from the villagers. While Lia loved her parents and enjoyed working with them, she hadn’t immediately jumped at the thought of having a muggle career after school. Not that she had anything against the non-magical but her mind was filled with the different paths that lay before her and she was not ready to choose one just yet.

As of this moment though she had to choose a path or awkwardly stand at this intersection all night. Fiddling with the loose drawstring of her formfitting black pajama pants, Dalia gave each corridor a second glance through the veil of hair that covered her right eye. She put aside her second-guessing thoughts and darted straight ahead. Hopefully it was the right choice. Soon she resumed her speedy pace and was twisting and turning like a mouse through a maze. As far as she could tell she had picked the right passage and the Room of Requirements should be coming up at any moment. Sure enough, she came face to face with a thick tapestry hanging on the wall. She let out a small sigh of relief and slowed herself to a brisk walking pace. She had chosen the right hallway after all and avoided a night of wandering around lost in the massive castle. If only all of her choices could be that easy.

Lia went to the ornate rug and slipped behind it. She opened the door slightly and immediately was met with a faint glow from inside the room. Judging by the already burning fire she wasn’t the first, or even second one here tonight. All she could hope was that they hadn’t started the game without her. As she was about to step inside the magical room, Lia’s body suddenly wavered. She burst through the door and hit the ground with a soft thump. It wasn’t anything major. The only pain she had felt was when her knee came down at full force on the ground but it could have been much worse. If she hadn’t tucked her wand in her back pocket there would have been hell to pay during class tomorrow as she tried to explain the sudden damage to teachers. Peeking up from her place on the floor, Lia could see the faces of nearly all her friends circled around a small fire pit. Quickly the tall girl jumped to her feet and closed the door as silently as she could before turning around to face her friends. A cheesy grin found its way to her lips as she moved her fingers to the back of her head. Lettering her fingertips trace over the sleek scar on her scalp the Ravenclaw let out a nervous laugh. “Am I late?”

Niles

While others may have deemed their current position as a little closer than just friends, to them it was just natural. Being Niles, he was just being his relaxed and fun loving self. When Cece made out a little gasp, he turned to her, confused at what could have been the cause. Then came the obvious reason. He should have known that getting dressed half asleep was a recipe for trouble, especially when it came to Cece. But then again, he was half asleep so he really didn't have any idea what he was putting on, plus it wasn't like he was great with fashion anyway, thank god they had a uniform! He couldn't help but let out a quick guffaw at her expression."What? I don't see anything wrong with this." He said stretching his shirt out in front of himself so he could actually see which one he put on, "And besides, I like this one and I reckon I could give Jean a run for his money with the tongue." He finished by opening his mouth and eyes as wide as they could go and proceeded to extend his tongue till it hurt. "Heee!" He managed to say with his tongue still protruding out. But he couldn't hold it for long as he broke into another fit of laughter. "Eww." He said as he wiped his chin that was slightly wet from his tongue saliva. He turned back to Cece from wiping his hand on his trackies to see why she made a small squeak. Her eyes were fixated on his feet and he grinned as he realised why, they were fluffy, not blue, but fluffy. He could have some fun with that, definitely useful for later when they start the game. He gave them a wiggle but Cece was already looking away and talking to him again. "Hey, hey, hey! Let's not get too hasty here, Cleo was simply my alarm clock. Besides, who can argue that a guy doesn't look sexy when wearing fluffy socks and a Kizz shirt! I say my cat has great taste." He replied as he was jokingly poked with her wand. "Watch it with that thing, I don't want to end up fashionable or something!"

As the two of them were having a good laugh Tar made her way to further away from them, clearly distancing herself from them. He had no problem with shy people, but it really was something he couldn't understand and he sometimes wished it didn't have to be so painful. He nodded vigorously in agreement with Cece's statement but made an exaggeration of putting his hand beside his mouth to imitate him whispering something to her. "Much in her case." This thumb indicating Cece, which earned him a punch. He was laying it on thicker than usual to try and get Tar to relax. It really was a mystery why Monty and Tar were besties but Niles put it down to shy girl comfortable with keeps-to-himself guy. But his comment when he came before them really through him off. The innuendo was clear but it hadn't ever really been said in the open before. He made sure his smile never wavered, he didn't want Monty, of all people, to hold something over him. Cece was gorgeous in his opinion and he couldn't help but let the occasional thought of getting together sit in his mind. Often he wondered what it would be like if they did try it, but then what would happen to their friendship? If something did happen between him, hey he wasn't arguing but he would rather let it run it's natural course. And by the looks of it that wasn't going to happen. He discreetly didn't look at Cece as she made that slightly crushing comment about them being just like siblings, guess there was no chance now. He let out a slightly strained laugh and looked up to Monty as if he were some extinct creature. "Well, I don't know what you've been getting up to over the summer but it's filled your head with something! I don't think I could ever view Cece anything other than that annoying, bratty, ridiculous little sister!" She gave him a face and he held his hands up in surrender. "I kid, I kid!"

While they were mucking around again, Tar did come over and join them thankfully. Niles also, managed to see a faint smile grace her lips as she looked to Monty. Poor thing, she really needed to get out of that shell. Maybe Monty would be the one to do it, but he also needed to let loose too. They chatted for a little bit and the arrival of anyone else seemed dismal. But thankfully the sound of the door creaking open came. A waterfall of straight black, in the dim lighting, poked in. It was Dalia. She must have been leaning on the door a bit heavily, because with no resistance it swung out causing her to burst in and meet the floor. But she was quick to recover, planting a sheepish and rather cheesy grin on her face.

"Well I must say, that was a rather grand entrance, definitely worthy of a round of applause." He said while brining his hands together to give her a quick clap. "And nope, just on time! Although, it seems we are lacking three more. Any idea where your house mate Erick or your buddy Gray is? But before you indulge us, take a seat, make yourself comfortable." He said solemnly, finishing his gesture with a flourish of his hand.

Hogwarts, 10:00pm, Ericks favorite time. Kneeling besides a stone gargoyle on the rooftop, the night chill nipped at his legs, he didn't mind. The full moon bathed everything in a blue light. Erick was dressed in his normal (or 'muggle' as they were called) clothes. A white T, grey cargo shorts, and of corse his black silk windbreaker. A distant bird let out a screech that echoed through the silence of the night; Erick looked up to see the silhouette of Zipporah pass by under a bridge. The bird of prey perched herself beside her friend. Erick smiled looking out at the night sky and ran a finger down Zipporahs neck.

"About that time isn't it?" Erick said as he stood up to his full height. As much as he wanted to continue enjoying the peace of night he had made commitments to his other friends. Reaching inside the breast of his windbreaker Erick produced his wand; a simple seven inches of smooth wood, completely unremarkable say a single long streak where the wood was slightly lighter. Erick took 3 running steps and jumped. Air rushed past his long hair and caused his clothes to ripple as he fell.

Erick twirled the wand around his index finger and caught it upside down. "Improbus gravitas" he whispered.

He cast the spell and suddenly he was no longer falling down, but forward. Adjusting with the sudden gravity change imposed on his body Erick curled his long legs and transferred his excess momentum into a roll. He recovered from the tumble and continued running down the wall of the castle.

Perhaps he should have left sooner. Tonight was to be one of the first nights they would reunite since the holiday, and someone had suggested they play a game of truth or dare in the room of requirements. Erick was not a giant fan of the idea since the game required a deal of speaking. However, Erick decided that he would humor the game if for no other reason than to spend time with the group. Erick sidestepped to avoid stepping on a window. After all, they were really the only wizards and witches he spoke around.

Erick spotted an open window on the floor where the game was to be played. He made a quick adjustment to his pace and jumped into the window. "Improbus gravitas" he whispered again as the glass passed by his face. His feet and hand hit the floor and he eventually came to a stop. From there it was a short walk to the room.

He spotted the tapestry that marked the entrance to the room. He pulled aside the ornament and walked through the doorway. He gave the room a quick look over and noticed almost, of not everyone, had already arrived. He didn't mind being a few minutes late.

Erick quietly made his way towards the fireplace and leaned against the wall just besides it, careful not to block view of the flames. He felt the warmth of the fire wrap itself around his shins. He preferred standing to sitting and it looked for the most pert the group was evenly spaced, so he got comfortable.

Cece took in the laugh of Niles and hesitated for a moment, he couldn't seriously think of them like that... could he? Oh, curse Monty for ever bringing this to the surface! Now it was going to weigh on her mind like a load of bricks when she was all alone and it was going to drive her absolutely bonkers. The thought of having a private conversation with Niles about it never even crossed her mind. She shot Monty a slightly snarky look but was soon distracted when Niles called her annoying bratty and ridiculous. She made the most your so in trouble once I get my hands on you look and stuck out her tongue wanting dearly to give him a smack for good measure but held back. She had hit the poor boy enough today.

Celine let out a relieved half smile when Tar moved to join the group and looked up at Monty with what appeared to her as adoration. Oh boy, that was going to be a heart breaker in the group if ever there was one. Not on Monty's side anyways, but on Tar's most certainly. Sighing, she settled back down into the comfortable seat, wanting to let all worries drain from her. Tonight was suppose to be about relaxing and letting loose, wasn't it? 'Just breath and let it go' she repeated to herself over and over in her head. All the drama that came with a large group of friends would have to wait for alone time. Not that that option was too appealing either.

When Lia stumbled in through the door Cece couldn't help but join in with Niles applause. "No, not late at all, were still waiting for some of the group as you can probably see." She said with a smile and gestured to the chairs when Niles said to have a seat. Yay! More people where here. It was always such a relief when the large group was able to meet in one place with each other. Erick soon followed Lia, making his way quietly over to the fire and standing instead of sitting. He always was a little strange like that, sort of a loner even within the group. Not that he was necessarily shy, Cece could remember quite a few conversations with him, but he was just really quiet. She gave him a grin of acknowledgment and clapped her hands together. "Well, we are only missing two people now, what say all of you we get this show on the road? Either our Gryffindor friends got held up and will arrive a little late or they won't be able to make it at all. I say we start this thing before the clock strikes one though as I know I need to sneak back to the dorms before five am." Her eyes glanced mischievously towards the tall cabinet holding all sorts of goodies and treats inside. She rubbed her hands together grinning almost maniacally, she couldn't wait to get this thing started.
