31st century fantasy things (OOC)

"How did this happen?!"

Well...
The age of knights and dragons was long gone by for a technological age of wonder, the humans had made leaps and bounds in technology while their cousin races, the elves and the dwarfs had tried to maintain their order of magic and might. This was ill fated however as in the 20th century an experiment made by elven magi-scientists to make a magical 'nuke' backfired and tore all remnants of magic from the land. At a major technological disadvantage they were forced to join the humans in their technological ways.

Not much else could be said for the dwarfs whose mighty war machines had been fuled by the elves magic, with the realisation they would never win their war against the humans they surrendered and were put to work in the mines. It was also dwarfs who rediscovered dragons whom had seemingly vanished with magic, rather they had gone into hiding when they were no longer able to breath their searing fire.

The dragons were found to be mostly useless under the humans who began secret breeding projects to try and domesticate the 'wild beasts' they had once feared. At around the 29th when the humans had almost perfected space travel and also when the dragons became small enough, they were finally released from their cages as the humans hoped they would make exotic pets should they encounter beings from another planet. The dragons disagree and a war the dragons could never hope to win begins.

Come the 31st century and humans have colonised another planet (along with a small number of dwarfs and elves) thanks to their high-tech equipment and not long after begin sending some of their most docile dragons there to 'protect them' from the war that the humans themselves had started.

"So what happens now doctor?" (our story)

The red dragon Kame has organised for a room to rent with an elven friend on the currently unnamed new planet, he quickly finds out that there are a number of protests going on to give dragons equivalent rights to the other races (see below) and that they are not going well. He tries to avoid getting mixed into the protests from fear they will turn into another series of fights. Along with the few dragons on the new planet a small number of elves and dwarfs are doing their best to help the battered and endangered race. Including them are the elf's friends, a 'sane' human and a dwarf.

This might seem a little daunting to get right but this is something no one really wanted to try before plus it's my universe and I say it's a little more open than a set genre.

Dragons do not currently have the same rights as most of the other races because of the ongoing war on Terra and because they were up until recently classed as beasts. The rights they do have are a cobbled mix of human and animal rights that give very little protection or freedom, to say the least dragons can only be sure they are allowed a job where applicable and a roof over their head if they live in a 'dangerous zone' or don't cause trouble.

"Clean those skeletons out of your closet... they stink."

This is simple. I plan to get 3 people at first, then bring more in later (second wave) sort of like a sitcom.

This will be updated as I come up with new elements or other random scraps of information, it's mostly dragons though.

Dragons are smaller now than ever, when they are sat down their head will be as high as the average human/elf is.

Dragons also don't eat unbalanced diets of raw meat and other things, this is because when they were kept as pets they got accustomed to living that way, they also can't complain about eating out of oversized pet dishes as long as they are eating.

Dragons are heavy and because their scales are still very 'steely' they will only bruise when shot with a weak weapon. (This is not America, guns are issued to police only!).

Never pet a hungry dragon... you may end up on the menu. (not really)

Humans are 'classed' in two ways by other races (apart from dragons), these are 'sane' humans who are ether neutral or 'for' dragon rights while the other class is 'insane' humans who don't see why dragons are more than animals due to government brainwashing over the last few centuries.

A character list will be added here after people start joining. I'll also leave a note about the friends mentioned above, they can be played by players but it's not mandatory, if no one wants to have knowledge of other characters they may arrive by shuttle or be completely oblivious to the news.
