Introduction
It's English Class, and you've started to study famous plays by famous people. Being so boring, it's only natural you should doze off before act one, scene five. Your teacher gives you a warning. Fall asleep in her class one more time, and you'll be in deeper trouble than you've ever been.
The following day, you start reading the famous play 'Romeo and Juliet' written by the Elizabethan play-wright, named William Shakespeare. Who doesn't know the story?
Boy meets girl.
Boy and girl fall in love.
Boy and Girl kill themselves.
The End.
You feel yourself stifling a yawn before the first scene is finished.
Your eyelids feel heavy.
You start to slump forward in your chair.
Within fifteen minutes of the play starting, you're asleep.
You hear the teacher begin to scream, but suddenly you don't care. As if sleeping is more important than the play, or even passing English this term.
As you peel yourself off the ground, you realize something's wrong. The fact you're on the floor, and the second thing is the fact a crowd of funnily dressed people are talking rapidly in funny accents. Something inside you recognizes it as Old English, and the costumes look like the things they wore in the rubbish production of Romeo and Juliet you saw earlier in the year. It is only then you realize that you're wearing the same clothes as they are. It is then it dawns on you.
Welcome to Verona, around the Year of our Lord 1400.
The famous home of the Capulets and the Montagues, of Romeo and Juliet, and now your home until you can find a way back. The crowd is concerned for your well-being, and they become even more concerned when you can't recall who you are, or who your friends are. They quickly fill you in on the details, on how old you are, on your family's background, and other little bits and pieces of information, including to which family your allegiance lies, and if you're married, and if you are to whom.
Maybe you'll fit in with the day to day life of Verona. Maybe it would suit you better than your life did before. Maybe you'll fall in love, and live happily ever after.
Maybe the slow paced life of the 1400s isn't for you, and you'll try everything and anything to get home. The constant warring between the house of Capulet and the house of Montague might make you fear for your life.
The Capulets are holding a ball tonight, where Romeo and Juliet will meet for the first time. Even the slightest disturbance could change the story forever...

Re: [OOC] A Shakespearian Tragedy
I could play Benvolio. I was thinking of making a guy character anyways that had relations to the Montagues and Romeo, so he fits the bill :D.
Re: [OOC] A Shakespearian Tragedy
Oh, Lavender, you already know where this form is XD
I am making a character that is engaged to Tybalt, but I do want to play Mercurtio, he's always been my favorite.

Re: [OOC] A Shakespearian Tragedy
I already made my character and put that she was cousin to Juliet (though I probably should have waited for confirmation on whether or not I should have done that first), so I think it would be fun though if someone was allowed to play Juliet. Also, can we have a character limit of two? Seeing as this RP will probably be flooded with girl characters, I thought I could also make a guy.
Re: [OOC] A Shakespearian Tragedy
I'm thinking about joining this RP, but I have a question:
Will we have to type in Old English, or will a contemporary version suffice?
