"They say they want to make us better, but these medications are completely numbing my brain. I can barely think for myself. Just writing these words down is hard. But if I don't write them down it will be lost. I forget so much now, I can't forget to remind myself of this realization. I can't get better if I'm feeling nothing. How will I know what is better and what is worse? They are keeping me here. Keeping us here. Will we ever get better?"


Facility:
It's a somewhat pleasant place on the outside. Yellow walls and white accents. It appears very homey... To the people not inside of it. The rooms are very small and only hold two people. They each have a bunk bed, the top bunk barely inches from the ceiling. The floor is covered in fluffy gray carpet that was probably once white. The walls are painted with a mint green color that is beginning to peel slowly. There is no room for anything else in the room, so personal belongings are kept underneath the bed. The bathrooms are public restroom style with two communal showers. There are two boy and two girl restrooms.
The living area consists of a threadbare loveseat and two deflated bean bags. There is an ancient TV in the middle. There are five bookshelves filled with self-help books that nobody feels motivated enough to read. There is one computer with very high search restrictions and it runs very slowly.

8:30-9:30 AM: Breakfast
9:45-11:30 AM: Therapy
12:00-1:00 PM: Lunch
1:00-4:00 PM: Recreation Time
4:30-5:30 PM: Group therapy
6:00-7:00 PM: Dinner
7:00-9:00 PM: Free Time
10:00 PM: Bedtime

Rules:
1. Residents are not allowed to go outside
2. Visitors can only visit during the first free time and only for a half an hour at a time
3. No leaving bedrooms until wake up time
4. Residents can not be in rooms without supervisors
5. Residents are required to take their medications
6. Residents must attend every therapy session
7. No boys in girls rooms and vice versa
8. No sexual relations between patients
9. No alcohol, tobacco, or illegal substances
10. No contact with the outside world besides visits

Roleplay Info
The point of this roleplay is that everyone in the hospital is severely disturbed mentally or emotionally. This can be any type of disorder that you want it to be. Get creative. The hospital doesn't actually want the residents to get better, since they get money from having more patients. So the medicine they give the residents makes them numb and unable to really get a grip with reality, which doesn't look like improvement at all. Therapy sessions rarely last the full time, as there really isn't much to talk about.
The characters are going to start of very emotionless, but then slowly become more aware of what's happening to them. You can really go anyway you want with them: have them ignore the people who are saying these crazy things about medicine, be the leader of the revolution, or be the new person who is suffering all the early reactions. You could really go anywhere.
