How might one describe Morse? Morse, who is as difficult to read as the code that he is so infamously nicknamed after. Morse isn't a very pleasant individual, although he is certainly not cruel or wicked. Not really. Rather, he is so enigmatic and playful that he can be quite unnerving to be around. He has private jokes, known only to him, that he will chuckle about in front of other people, adding to his image of being ever so slightly 'not there'. He has a dark and slightly morbid sense of humor, cliche as it is, considering his parentage, and loves nothing more than doing dangerous, life-threatening stunts, all for the sake of adrenaline, which he adores more than practically anything. He is confident, and really very arrogant, less in terms of vanity but more in the fact that he never stops to consider what he can and can't do, considering everything to be a part of the former. He is quite philosophical at times, posing deep and meaningful questions that, more often than not, don't make all that much sense. He is clever, and very witty, although his humor is so dry and sarcastic that often it goes completely flying over people's heads. He is very laid-back, unless of course someone does something to anger him, or in the presence of his father, in which case he goes from teasingly grim to hatefully bitter. In such cases, he is very cold and somewhat frightening, and acts very maliciously. Despite his intelligence, he is in fact very unimpressive physically. He can't wield a sword, nor swing an axe. Put him in a boxing ring and he'll be out before you can say 'Carpe Diem'. However, his intelligence and cunning makes him a deadly opponent, should the situation arise. He is sharp-tongued, and reckless, doing things without thinking of the consequences, and rarely caring either way. He loves himself, and tends to put his own well-being before that of others, but when he makes a friend (something he has yet to do, frankly) he can be extremely loyal and considerate. I think. Honestly, I haven't really a clue.

☠ Being Buried Alive || The very idea is enough to make Morse shudder. Then again, who isn't terrified of the notion?
☠ Enclosed Spaces || This is a result of his claustrophobia, and although he is fine in elevators, anything smaller is enough to make him extremely antsy
☠ Going Insane || He is perfectly fine with 'having a few screws loose', but the idea of going completely mad? Freaky, to say the least

ＦＡＭＩＬＹ::
Aunt| Jenna Kearney | 42 | Douglas' relationship with his aunt is perhaps his healthiest to date. They get along extremely well, and Jenna has acted as a parental figure in his father's absence.
Father| Don Kearney | 42 | Douglas and his father have never gotten along. That being said, they haven't seen each other at all in the past fifteen years, so if they were to see each other now, who knows how they'd react.

ＲＥＬＡＴＩＯＮＳＨＩＰ ＷＩＴＨ ＧＯＤＬＹ ＰＡＲＥＮＴ:
Morse's so-called 'relationship' with his mother is practically nonexistent, save for the first two years of his life, during which she and his father spent more time speeding down open highways and smoking pot in the rusty old caravan that was his home for that time. After his mom 'vamoosed', he was taken in by his father's sister, and only got visited by way of dream or mysterious letter left on his desk, and even those were few and far between, perhaps two or three times in all his seventeen years.

ＢＩＯＧＲＡＰＨＹ:
Morse's father was hardly a role-model. He was a wanderer, a rebel, traipsing all over America in his green caravan, 'Mona'. He lived on the open road, never staying in one place. His twin sister, Jenna, was quite the opposite, head chef of a restaurant in Manhattan, unlucky in love but excellent at cooking. Morse's father, Don, was gambling away in Las Vegas when he met Eris, or rather, Vi, as she introduced herself. As one might expect from the goddess of chaos, she was allured to Don's unsettled, exciting lifestyle. The obvious happened, and Vi fell pregnant with Douglas. The pair, Vi and Don, the latter completely unaware of his girlfriend's godly heritage, proceeded to travel from Peru to Alaska. Nine months into their adventures, Morse was born, and two years after, Eris decided she'd had enough, and vamoosed. Don suddenly realised that by no way in hell was he qualified to look after a two-year old, and turned to his sister for help. Unsurprisingly, she agreed to look after little Morse, and has acted as a maternal figure to him ever since.

ＦＡＶＯＲＩＴＥ ＰＯＷＥＲ:
Honestly, Morse loves all of his powers. But his favourite? Probably shadow-travelling. Then again, manipulating people is pretty fun. As is possessing people, as a matter of fact.
