The Siege of Vraks was once a terrible thing for the Imperium before the next rebellion started up in the system of Corthorax. The system was mainly Forgeworlds and farming worlds, but when the Chaos Gods came along along with a warp storm the system quickly went head over heels, the planetary governors being killed within days of each other. The locals, with the help of a small force of Word Bearers overthrew the PDF regiments in the area.

The Imperium decided to bring in a number of Imperial Guard regiments to try and take back the system, mainly forgetting that the forgeworlds made super heavy tanks and titans. The first planetary landings were a complete disaster but within a year the next landings came by the famous drop troops of the Elysian regiments. The Fighting then began on the main Hive World of Corthorax IV. The vast cities played havoc with Imperium and Chaos alike while on the open plains of the northern area of the planet, vast tank battles waged for days.

Factions

The Imperium of Mankind is ruled by the Emperor sat upon the golden throne on Terra (Earth) after defeating Horus, the grand warmaster during the Horus Heresy. The Imperium has a number of loyal Space Marine chapters ready to fight for it, along with trillions on men ready to fight in the name of the God Emperor. They came to the Corthorax in order to try and keep their production of weapons, super heavy tanks and the massive and powerful titans up as they need to field these weapons else where.



The Gods of Chaos are powerful beings, able to destroy anything they wish with the powers that they have. Thought to live in the warp, these beings field massed legions of Heretics and Traitors to their warzones. They steal these people's minds in order to have them fight against the Imperium of Mankind. After they took most of the minds of the people inside the Corthorax system, they set to work taking over the system in order to help their war effort against the Imperium. Most of these men and women are not trained, but as soon as the Chaos Space Marine Legion of the Word Bearers came along they were trained in a skill of which they would need in order to fight for the Chaos Gods.
