Weapons When On Foot:
1. A Pistol that he keeps in a holster on the small of his back with the chamber down for quick drawing, he is an expert marksmen and this pistol is his personal favourite. He does put a suppressor on it at times.

Clothing:
Constantly wearing some kind of three piece suit he also displays Nathaniel’s crest on his tie pin. He is, after all, his personal chief engineer.

Appearance:
A slightly more wirey frame then most he is not a very towering threat. But then again most don’t know about is skill with a gun which rivals, if not exceeds, his childhood friend Nathaniel’s. He looks like a younger version of Lloyd, but doesn’t wear glasses and is always in a three piece suit. Yet recently he's puton some muscle and for some reason he's being hounded by women. Could it be that he's managed to grow up a bit?

Strengths:
Great intellect and amazing shot. He’s better than Nathaniel when it comes to firearms.
The man is a wizard with a wrench, able to make and design things that can make even Lloyd and Rakshota take a second look. He’s never been hailed as a genius by anyone, and his name isn’t well known, but his tech is just starting to show itself on the battlefield and soon everyone will be wanting an Operthand original
Weaknesses:
He’s not strong and not very good at hand to hand, and he has a tendency not to know when to stop talking.

History:
James and Nathaniel have known one another since they were born. Their two families were joined and shared several pieces of land. James’ older sister would eventually marry Nathaniel’s older brother. The two became a great pair, with Nathaniel keeping the bullies at bay with his greater strength and physical abilities and James making them all kinds of toys and games to play with. The boy was a wizard with a wrench and built his first Knightmare at the age fo ten. Unfortunately the frame failed and his credit floundered. But that didn’t stop him. He wasn’t in it for the fame, he built them for the fun of it.

It’s bee another few years before James would meet someone else he could confide in, and that was Milly, Milly Asheford. The two were from the same type of family, and the Operthands had worked for the Asheford in the early days of Knightmare Design. But when the Ashefords were losing face the Operthands were growing in power. Because of this Milly’s family set her up with James after her engagement to Lloyd fell through. The difference in age didn’t matter to the family, and surprisingly Milly came to not mind it either.

Of course this didn’t last. Unfortunately Milly became enraged at James because of his lack of interest in their relationship. She once spoke to Nathaniel on this saying, “I just don’t get it! Am I not pretty enough? I mean, I’ve tried Nate I really have tried to get him interested in us but… ugh, all he does is sit there doodling on his sketch pad.” She said in a huff, “I even got this great little lacy outfit and- uh, never mind, TMI.” She had mumbled before an embarrassing laugh.

It’s unclear if they are over one another, but officially they are no longer a couple, yet the families still push them back together at any chance.

James eventually became the head of research and development for Nathaniel under the authority of the Empress Nunnally. After several years a Knightmare has yet to materialize out of his workshop, yet Nathaniel says he’s hard at work. If you could call it work, as James does it for fun. Regardless of the truth, there is an awful lot of money being spent at that place.

He's never thought of himself as a ladies man but for some reason he's been hounded by woman alot lately. When he told this to Nathaniel he just laughed.
