Introduction

A black wolf stared into the trees, she knew hunters were stalking her and she was leading them away from her pack. Luckily it didn't seem like they new her exact location and she was safe for the moment. She was having a hard time traveling, she was starving because hunting would give her away.

Deep in thought, she was distracted, suddenly a bullet hit the rock she was sitting on and she yelped in surprise, with that giving her away a male hunter emerged out of the trees and took aim. The black wolf ran at him as he jumped out of the way and gave chase.
She ran until she thought she lost him and stopped. Pain went through her leg as a bullet hit her shoulders, despite this she ran even faster. She needed help, her shoulder was tearing and she would soon be cornered. She let out a loud howl so her pack mates would find her.

Kapu had heard Ghost's howl earlier and had started running toward her. He then started hearing other footsteps, telling him he was closer. He ran until he,was slightly behind Ghost. He made a soft growling noise to tell her he was there.

Ghost let out a low howl in response to Kapu. "I'm going to try and jump them, we bite them an they'll go away." She was able to say through the wind. "Turn sharply, they'll run into eachother and we'll corner them."

He started to run where Kapu ran. A few seconds later he saw Kapu and Ghost. He let out a growl, then barked quietly, "How's it goin'?"

Ghost flung herself at the hunter and softly nipped his shoulder so he would think the blood from her shoulder was his and get scared. She charged at the second but a heavy net was thrown on her. She pawed desperately at the ground to stand up as a third loaded his gun. Ghost howled in terror as she saw more nets be cast at her pack mates.

"Whoaa!! You throw a net on me? No!" Ferno said angrily.

He took off the net and went all sycho on the HUMANS. He turned into his wolf form and started biting the humans. He turned back into his human form and ripped off the nets on his allies. "Let's get outta here," He says while turning back into his wolf form.

Ghost changed to her human form, "If you tell ANYONE what you saw...." She unshleathed her knife."We'll share the same fate, we are both hunters." the hunters were shaking at the sight of their human forms. "Let's get back to camp." Ghost turned into her wolf form and padded away. The hunters watched her until the shadows of the forest covered her.

"Shame they landed a hit on me..." Ghost muttered as she strolled into the leafy camp. Everyone was asleep except for the elders who sat around a fire, drawing shapes with ash-dipped paws. Ghost often wondered if it hurt them and hoped she wouldn't find out. Who dips their paws into the fire? When they saw her they let out yips of praise that they were alive, waking up most of the camp. "Did you doubt the fact that I would survive?" Ghost said irritably with a little hint of humor. "My child is safe! I think...someone get that shoulder looked at!" Her father, Rock, approached; blended in with foliage of the camp. The medicine wolf zoomed over but Ghost directed her elsewhere. "See the others first, they may have wounds." She said stoically.
