Sereya (Lufgaw's wife)'s Story

Lufgaw hear how the heels echo through the halls, first rapidly and then a slower pace was obvious that the owner ran first and then decided to walk, he suddenly heard the sweet voice of the woman who stole his heart, the last thing the King wanted was worry her, but even so his queen asked

"dearest husband whatever has. Made you so angry that you had changed form into the beast?"

The man turned to see her and realized she was wearing the dress she knew that he liked, "My queen and wife, don't let this fool's actions worry you" he answer with a smile, Lufgaw didn't want her to get involved in this matter , but then realized that his wife was human, sometimes he forget it, she was so different from all other humans he had known, after a moments he decided that would be appropriate to share some of what worried him, "Spindewas has fallen, its king dead , their princes exiled and its queen captured, I fear the future my wife"

Sereya gasped "Oh my" she said a hand flying to hermouth as she approached him closer. She placed a warm hand on his cheek and looked into his eyes "I know that you are worried, but I have complete faith that you with excell in everything you put your mind to love" she waid giving his lips atiny kiss "how about, you and I retire to the library, I have some exciting news to bestow upon you." She said taking his hand.

Shortly they arrive in the library and she sit down on a comfy couch kicking off her heels ignoring the voice for a bit as she laid hr legs off to the side appropriately on the couch "I know you have been distracted a lot earlier,as have I but I did have enough time to see the healer this morning, and I found out why I have been ill lately." She said as she bit her perfect cupid bow lip slightly. Her blue eyes. Analyzed his facial expressions trying to read what he was thinking but having a very hard time.

His wife, the beautiful Sereya, always had the right words to calm him her gently hand led him to the library to give what she considered exciting news, Lufgaw watched how she sat comfortably on the couch and while he was sitting in front of her, she said

"I know you have been distracted a lot earlier,as have I but I did have enough time to see the healer this morning, and I found out why I have been ill lately."

Despite being busy fixing the multiple problems left by the previous ruler, the King had noticed the health problems that lately his wife was having and that was something has him concerned but Sereya always told him that it was nothing serious, herself was busy with other things.
His expression became expectant he'll finally knew what was the mysterious illness but still wasn't too worried, his wife said that would give him exciting news and a serious illness wouldn't be exciting at all "Tell me my queen, what ails you?" he asked looking directly at her blue eyes.

The queen looked down to her husband and took his hand and placed it on her stomache "my king our prayers have been answered, I am with child" she said excitedly as she squirmed on the couch. Her old self would have jumped up anddown and danced around the room but she didn't know if that would be accepted here. So she sat and held her breath waiting his response.

She just hoped it was a little boy so he could be their heir, but it it was a girl shed love her just the same, in fact she hoped that if it was a daughter shed. Be a little daddys girl but she didn't know what it'd be. In fact she worried how he pregnancy would go since he was part beast would it be fast or slow, or painful she was slightly scared and didn't want to show it to him.

Lufgaw was speechless, never would have guessed that this was the reason behind the ailments of his wife, a lot of things quickly went through his head in that small frame of time but thing that was above all it was happiness, sheer happiness, A child was something he wanted though doubted it could happen, but was now happening the healers never weren't wrong in this sort of thing.

He grab his wife and lift her into the air as he behaved like a little child unable to hide his joy, laughed heartily and ran around the room with the queen in his arms, a pair of servants came to see the commotion but Lufgaw didn't care to hide his behavior, at least this time he wasn't a king but a man who had just discovered that it would be father.

"That's most wonderful news" he said gently placing her on the floor, "This is the second time in my life I feel such happiness," the smile refused to leave his face softening the harsh expression to which the servants were accustomed,but they still obeyed when he ordered "Tell the others, tonight we shall celebrate that the queen's pregnant, open the castle everyone is welcome", the servants bowed and left the room.

He looked at the face of his wife and said, "You can Invite your family", that would be something that normally he would never allow it, but he simply can't deny the right that her family have to share this kind of happiness, tomorrow he'll worry about the state things now he only wanted to stay with his way and his unborn child.

"If I said that was the first time I saw you would lie," he said honestly remembering that strangely funny day when he saw a girl wandering in the forest that didn't scared or tried to attack him when he stood before her in his beast form to get her leave that place. "The happiest day of my life was when you agreed to become my wife, I never told you but that night I ran across Effledus screaming with joy" confessed a little embarrassed, to hide the shame the King quickly change the subject "if necessary sends someone for your family, I don't know how long take to the carriages that humans use get here" and to after realize that he still was wearing his torn clothes by the outburst he suffered before, bowed slightly to the only person in front whom he'll bow and said "My Queen, if you'll excuse me I must go to replace my clothes" and left the library.

Once in the room thought about what his child's arrival imply, Lufgaw want to raise the child in this time of peace but the empire threatened the peace, discarded the fools thoughts he had this morning to kill the emperor with his own hands and very reluctantly decided that this is the opportunity to start building relationships with neighboring kingdoms, much as he despise humans his son or daughter is half human and Lufgaw wouldn't leave him/her a legacy of hate.

He took a simple tunic and wore in a carelessly way, he walked to the balcony and said firmly "Pixies!" almost immediately a group of pixies appeared before the king, "You, search the Queen of Towerlot and inform her that Lufgaw of Effledus want to know what security measures will take her kingdom against empire" little person bowed and disappeared quickly, the most important was to know what will do its immediate neighbors,
"Now you" chose a cheerful-looking pixie "Find any of the princes of Spindewas and tell the them that the King of Effledus want information about the ruler, stay there until you get response" the little one seemed reluctant but after the king's gaze it get away quickly, "You go to Matakin and ask to the first person you see next to a dragon what will be their position in the conflict," the third pixie retired "the rest of you tell to all Effledus that we'll celebrate tonight," the group of pixies scattered making joyful sounds.

Lufgaw the beast king once again watched the vastiness of his peaceful kingdom, but this time the future seemed much more bright.

The King hoped that the response of the pixie that headed to Matakin would come soon. the kingdom of the dwarves and dragons was pretty close to his so the message should be the first to arrive, he wasn't expecting much of pixie that sent to search to one of the descendants of Briarose, besides the fact that he didn't know where they were or even if they were alive that pixie has the habit of detour or twist the messages because never pay the necessary attention, so he wasn't the most reliable pixie but despite that was still being used by Lufgaw, he'll never admit it but the actions and distorted messages that the pixie bring amused him.

He was waiting on the balcony for the return of one of the Pixies when hear someone knocking on his door, of course he don't need to ask who was, or needed to feel her scent to know that it was his Queen perhaps the only that would knock that King's chamber door without feeling any pressure.

He approached and opened the door so he could see her wife, but was surprised to see concern in the face of his beloved, made her enter the room and after closed the door he asked her "What trouble you in this happy day my queen?

"Fear?, What you're afraid my Queen?" Lufgaw was bewildered, he was afraid too but apparently the two of them feared different things, while the beast king feared that he would be unable to leave a kingdom of peace to his child, the beautiful woman seemed to fear something more immediate "Please share your fears with me my beloved wife" the king asked clearly concerned at that moment two of the pixies that he sent quickly came in through the window and prepared to say their message "Not now" the king sharply interrupted, anything they had to say could wait, he was silent for a moment as he watched the expression of his wife.
He approached her when felt a slight pain in his hand and saw the pixie whom he sent to the any of the princes of Spindewas biting him, brought his hand to his face with the pixie still biting and said little surprised by his bravery or stupidity "Are you aware that if I bite you'll die?"
The pixie released him and said "I want to rest and that was also was related to the message" cleared it's throat "Tell him to open his border for two humans and a dragon. You have to bite us and give us a little pain. That's what they said" said proudly the little pixie while the other one waited in silence, that was one of those moments that the King secretly enjoyed, if the situation with his wife wouldn't be troubled him. he would have enjoyed it much more "Fine, now you can eat whatever you like of the castle and then rest" The pixie squealed with delight and disappeared quickly, "King, the humans only asked for safe passage across the border" said respectfully the one who had been silent all the time "I thought so, inform on the borders that leave alone a Dragon accompanied by two humans I'll deal with them personally, and then go to rest, tonight we'll celebrate" the pixie bowed and went to do his bidding.

Lufgaw once again focused all his attention on his wife, "Sereya, my wife, what I can do to drive away your fears?", A third pixie entered the room, this time he wouldn't allow interruptions, but the pixie was faster "I bring the response of the Queen Rapunzel" Lufgaw stopped, Queen Rapunzel was friends with his wife and had also given birth to twins, maybe she could help in this situation.
But to seek help from humans was something he wanted avoid, no matter how confused he was in this situation, "Give it to one of my advisers and then rests, also sends one of your friends to this place" the little one as the two before him rapidly disappeared "My wife, as you hear I made contact with your friend the Queen of Towerlot, Do you want to give her a message or ask something?", he can deal affairs of state with ease, but feel so useless with the pregnacy of his wife.

Those words were more painful than the arrows to the Beast King, being one of the, if not the most, powerful beings of the kingdom had few thing that could cause him harm and those words of his wife were one of the few things.
Did she thought that he preferred to discuss with the Pixies rather to talk to her?, Does that was the impression he gave at that time?, the King approached his wife and grabbed her hand to prevent her from going out the room, "Please don't leave me with this anguish "speak softly which was unusual in him, "Just tell me what's troubling you and how I can help," the celebration will be tonight, the servants were preparing with eagerness and joy, and while he was in the balcony could see and hear how from all parts of the kingdom gradually came the delights to the castle, but only would suffice a word of his queen for Lufgaw to canceled it, slipped from his mind the dragon that should be on it's way.

That was unexpected, Lufgaw hadn't thought of that and now that he saw the tearful face of his wife discovered it was something that really worried her, of course as male he never thought about anything related to that, but now was somewhat relieved, he knew what was the source of her worries, even though he doesn't remember his mother knew how to answer "Sereya, my wife, let me wipe those tears" he gently wiped with his hands the tears that coming out of her eyes and roamed the face of her wife.
"No matter what race, a child would never want to hurt its mother," he smiled her reassuringly "If you're still worried tomorrow we will go together to consult the healer in chief", he hug her caring.

Lufgaw held her tightly, "You have nothing to fear, no matter what happens you'll always be my wife, I'll never leave you", he felt a bit guilty since the worries of his beloved wife made him happy, very very happy if he were in his beast form it would definitely wag its tail like a simple dog, "Now inform your family and send someone to pick them up, tell them that tonight we shall celebrate" the king suggested to his wife as a pixie entered the room ready to hear the instructions of Queen of Effledus.
It was a good day, his wife informed him that will father, one of his advisers would hear the message of Towerlot's Queen, the King was in a good mood, he would even let humans enter in the castle, that if the arrogant brats would not invited on their own account, he recalled the twisted message of the pixie and smiled. Maybe I should bite them and cause a little of pain, he thought.

After the pixie directed to the family of his wife leave the room were both silent, a peaceful silence quite different from the tense silence that reigned before his wife tell him her concerns, but something disturbed the tranquility, something landed near the castle.
"My wife, there's something I should take care now, if you please to wait me in the throne room" and left his chambers, a servant came quickly to inform "Your majesty, a dragon..." was interrupted by Lufgaw "I know, I shall see it personally, tell to the guards to be ready for troubles"
"A woman and a cat are approaching the castle" the King stopped and looked at the servant "T-the border didn't report anything but there are several who have seen her"

"Tell one of my advisors, Aquila could deal with it" he didn't have time to waste with a cat when was a dragon in the backyard, the servant quickly went to fulfill his orders, Lufgaw had no intention of letting the dragon to get closer to the castle so he ran to meet him, it been a long time since he anticipated to face a powerful being, luckily wore a simple tunic which made it easier to move, thanks to that he reach the clear soon.

It was a imposing sight, a large green and gold dragon, had seen the ones who fly in the sky of the Kingdom he never has been near one, the dragons were well respected in all Effledus so his presence would be welcomed, the humans he brought wouldn't be so welcomed, the King walked firmly and said loudly and threatening "Dragon, What made you think you could bring humans to my castle? What made you think that they would be welcome?" stopped a few meters away from the group, his eyes began to glow and his hands became claws, he adopted a partial beast form, was faster and less painful than his complete form but less powerful.
He released a slight killing intent, didn't want to alter the dragon just wanted to warn him that he was serious, "What prevents me from dispose of you all now?"

Sereya looked up at her husband and nodded "alright my king I will meet you there, for now if I'm needed I will be in my chambers changing, this dress is too tight around my baby bump" she admitted, before she curtsied and exited the room. She wanted to do something to help but kjnew better, she'd just be in his way..everyones way.

Sereya goes to her chambers and changes into a maternity dress that she had one of her ladies in waiting run and retrieve her from town it was an emerald green and looked beautiful with her gorgeous hair and after that she made her way to the throne room to see her husband. She stopped and looked at her husband in beast form and froze she knew she could calm him but she did not want to risk thier baby by getting in the way.

Why the King don't take his beast form as often as in the past?, the answer is simple, that body and those senses only release their full potential in the middle of a battle, is the body that will be sacrificed for his kingdom not a body to guide them to a peaceful future, Lufgaw has a miscalculation when decided use this form only to scare her, he underestimate his own bloodlust and overestimated his self control, he thought that the girl would reflect on her own behavior and come to the conclusion of she had done wrong to use such a method to the trick citizens of Effledus and yet she dares to ask.

“Was there something you wished my assistance with then highness?”

"You think I need something from a little human!" he roared, the wild pride of The Beast decided the sentence, the adopted daughter of Rumplestiltskin pushed her luck too much, now the flame of her life would be extinguished in a fairly violent way, his thoughts weren't the most sane now that was completely released, no, these were as wild as his appearance.

The time came, his right claw once again went towards the girl but this time it wasn't a bluff, this time has a real killing intent and the force needed to tear a grown man in half, he know because did several times in the past.
But despite what she might think the girl was lucky, this time her luck materialized in the form of the most beautiful woman in the world who entered the throne room saving the girl's life with just a few words.

"I believe it would be best for you to calm yourself down a bit and switch back"

Just those words and Lufgaw felt somewhat ashamed of what he was about to do, he appreciated the timely entry of his wife as returned to his human appearance "Sereya my wife, you don't know how glad am I to see you here" approached his queen who looked more beautiful than when he leave her before the arrival of Qing Jin and took her hand "Look humans, she is Oriana spokeswoman of Matakin and Jin Qing the guardian dragon", he wanted to show her that he could talk with humans without getting too angry, "He is the son of Briarose Queen of Spindewass, his name is Dayerin" a piece of the torn tunic fell to the ground but he didn't care "He is' Enry of Mewhaven" he pointed the little black cat with glasses and boots "And I still don't hear your name," he said dryly, he didn't even know the name of the person who was about to kill, had thought free her after the scaring her but he changed his mind eventually he'll decide her punishment but for now she was a forced guest, "She is Sereya the Queen of Effledus and my wife" he said with more pride than when he introduced himself before.

Dayerin was privy to a very strange confrontation between King Lufgaw and the Fae with the cat. He felt like he was missing an important part of the story, until the Fae took off her traveler’s cloak. He looked wide-eyed as the Fae morphed from brunette to blonde, and her Fae prettiness faded to just plain human prettiness. And she wasn’t just blonde... her hair was blindingly golden. He was expecting ‘Enry the cat to become something else, like her bespectacled boyfriend or something, but he didn’t.

The venom in the golden-haired woman’s voice also was attention-getting. Day now realized that Rumplestiltskin had affected both Oriana’s and this woman’s lives. It was like that old game he new, Six degrees of Rumplestiltskin. Everyone knew somebody who knew somebody who knew the twisted little Fae. And everyone who knew him had a different way he messed them up.

And then there was King Lufgaw’s transformation. It made the golden girl’s change look like nothing. Day felt himself tense up and his heart started pounding in his ears. It was possibly the most frightening thing he had ever seen, watching the mostly human man become The Beast. He was hideous, monstrous... a nightmare creature. Way worse than Day had ever imagined.

When the Beast brought his claw close to the Golden girl, Day darted forward. “Stop!” he choked out, his voice partially caught in his throat. It was an impulse he had to follow, for he sincerely believed that this girl was about to have her head swiped off. He had to run to her, push her out of the way, kick the Beast in the shin-- anything, just get that girl away from those razor claws! But before he could even get close, two furry guard arms wrapped around his chest and held him back. He squirmed and writhed, but it was really no use. He was trapped in a massive bear hug.

Fortunately, The Beast didn’t actually do it, and claimed that he wouldn’t spill human blood. He told them that they were lucky. But Day was still on edge, and he strained against the arms of the Bear. His face was red, his breathing heavy. It was impossible to relax while the Beast was still standing near the Golden girl.

And then the Beast lashed out for a second time, and this attack was even more vicious. Day kicked and struggled against his vice of bear arms, which hugged him so tight that the air was forced from his lungs. When one of his ribs was just about to snap, the Bear released him and Day stumbled forward on hands and knees. He hopped to his feet and sprinted across the hall to where the Golden-haired woman stood with ‘Enry. Against all his expectations, she was still in one piece.

“Holy Pied Piper, are you alright--?” he gasped, his eyes darting around wildly looking for blood. His voice came to halt, though, when he looked up and his eyes were met with a vision. His mouth literally fell open, his eyes glazed over. It was like a heavenly being had descended among them, an angel dressed in an emerald gown. She was statuesque, with long silver-blonde hair, eyes like jewels and the most perfectly formed face. She was in every way ideal, and then some. Day knew exactly who she was, before The Beast gave her an introduction.

Day bowed lowly when the Beast’s rough voice spoke Beauty’s name. “Most beautiful Queen...” he began, finding himself too awestruck for words, and no idea how to end his sentence. Was it possible that he could be immediately in love with her? It felt like he was.

Oriana blinked owlishly at the girl's blatant disrespect for the king. She was in his land, he could kill her and easily get away with it, for the gods sake! She shook her head and almost wished for death to the girl. She could not handle two things, glamours and most humans. Both meant lies and deceit.

When someone stopped the king, she turned and found a horrid feeling in her chest. The queen Sereya was standing there, looking as pretty as the rumors said. No, pretty was too bland a word, her mind supplied and the feeling burned more. She was stunning, amazing. Prefect. Her magic kicked up as Day began to drool over a married woman.

Qing Jin shook his head and pushed his magic over hers, masking it for the smell of Dragon. It contained her magic so it swirled violently and colorlessly around her, whipping her hair ever so slightly when it came near her. "Golden Child, you must calm yourself." He ordered in Dwarish and she started, blinking.

"S-sorry, friend..." She murmured back, her magic becoming dormant in its bubble. She turned back to the queen and gripped her dress, right over her heart. Her black, dirty, tattered dress. She desperately wished for an invisibility glamour. Or one to make her looks Fae. "What is this feeling, Qing Jin? I don't like it."

"Jealousy and ency, Golden Child. Something every being feels... Even I." He replied and she nodded slowly. "It's natural, dear Golden One. You are fine."

Never the less, she bowed to the queen. She refused to speak unless spoken to by her, regardless of her status as queen. The nasty feeling didn't diminish either. Qing Jin only lowered his head, watching the queen. She was with child, as his nose and magic told him. But once again, he wouldn't comment on it unless it was brought up.

Sereya looked towards everyone a smile forming on her lips, it seemed to light up the room. "Welcome to our home everyone I am so honored for you all to be here, I also apologize for my husbands temper he has some anger issues needless to say. She giggled kissing her husbands cheek, her laugh sounding like bells she curtsied to everyone "As you can see I am with child and I would be most honored if you would stay and celebrate with us tonight on this wonderous occasion" she practically beemed and looked at them.

She gave Day a smile as she looked at the silly look on his face she had never understood the fuss over her, she'd never seen her beauty as such.

This guy had to be bipolar, Bettina thought sharply as her shoulders stiffened in preparation to throw herself to the side. Good god, the one legitimately non mocking question she posed to the beast man, and that was what he chose to rage about?! Good to know just how racist he was she supposed. It didn’t help her case much, but she’d heard the human wife he’d taken had softened the king’s views on such matters a touch. Always a bad idea to put too much stock in gossip it seemed. The king however, was halted in his assault by none other than the queen herself, and Bettina was left to wonder no longer why the king had made such a large exception in his blatant anti-human policy. She was both stunning and kind, and her very presence seemed to lend a calming warmth to the room.

What did surprise her however, was the concern the prince, Day she believed, seemed to show regarding her wellbeing. He seemed genuinely distraught over the idea of the beast king harming her, had almost been crushed by a giant bear guard trying to help her, and Bettina had no idea why he’d done it. She meant nothing to him, why would he risk himself like that? The only reason that came to mind was that he wished to use her for her…specialized talents, but there was no way he could know. She hadn’t even revealed her name, and even on the off chance he’d heard tale of the little orphan girl who could spin gold, that didn’t mean he’d connect the dots. She still did not trust him, or anyone else in this room outside ‘Enry for that matter, but her outlook regarding the prince perhaps softened a bit.

“He’s honored your grace.” Bettina supplied with a surprising lack of condescension as the poor moon struck prince began to flounder. At least teenage boys were predictable she thought half amused with a sigh before giving the prince an encouraging pat on the back.

“Your highness did not ask.” Bettina replied equally as dry, and made no move to correct the matter. If he wished to know the name of a lowly human like herself, he could very well lower himself and ask.

“Charmed to meet you your ‘ighness. Ze tales we ‘ave ‘eard of your loveliness and good nature do you no justice.” ‘Enry replied, a little moon struck himself. Bettina remained silent after that, and let ‘Enry do the talking. Ironically she always knew the right things to say when she was in disguise, or playing a part, but when she was nothing but herself she tended to do more harm than good when she spoke.

"Another one! Look!" a citizen shouted. This dragon did not land as majestically as the first, but that was due to it being much larger and older. A guard approached with caution; "What is your business in Effledus, dragon?" he inquired. The dragon looked down and smiled. "My name is Mortimus. I've come for the big meeting but I think I'm a tad late. Not to worry, I'm friends with many of the guests in there, I'm sure they'll forgive me." said the dragon. The guard still looked unconvinced; " How do you know who's in there? This meeting is top secret." he asked. Mortimus sighed; "My dear boy, use your common sense, I felt their presence upon the wind, of course! Now, please, could I go in? I do have identification somewhere, but I don't think that is necessary, as i promise you CAN trust me. It's hard to find a dragon that you can't trust these days." he reassured. The guard sighed, his fae ears twitching. "Ok, Mr Mortimus, I shall let you in, but if i get in trouble with Lufgaw....." "Then on my head be it!" butted in the dragon, "Yes, i know." and he followed the guard into the palace, humming "Be our guest" to himself.

"Why, if it Isn't Lufgaw! My, you haven't aged a day!" exclaimed Mortimus as he greeted the ensemble. "Ah, and of course, Queen Sereya, looking as lovely as ever, my dear!" He spotted the cat. "''Enry! Why its been so long, monsieur, and.... oh, i see you're still with HER." he added, looking suspiciously at Bettina. Then he turned to face the other guests, "Oh, and i see we have new blood here too. Another dragon, eh? What an unexpected honour and.....oh, what a pretty young girl you're saddled with too! Lufgaw, i beg you, please tell me what I have missed!" He said enthusiastically, finding his oversized seat.
