Fire and Ice

HISTORY: In the world of Raitona, there once existed four great empires. To the south scattered across the Haradi Desert was the country of Firion. To the west, under the impassable Arkus Mountains laid the underground nation of Terraton. To the east over the Ocean of Storms, were the flying cities of Wynu. And to the far north, spread along the Frozen Plain, is the crystal castles of the Icidion.
These Empires co-existed in peace for centuries, but then a new Empire rose from among the center of the continent. They called themselves the Sharrow and they attempted to conquer the other four empires. The Sharrow were driven off by the combined might of the nations, and their cities destroyed. But the mages of Sharrow vowed to return one day.
As they wove a spell to remove their capital to a plane of existence where the other nations could not follow, they cursed Raitona so that it would never know peace again. 1000's of years later, Firion and Icidion have been at war for centuries, battling back and forth over the lands that once belonged to the Sharrow, neither side knowing the true origins of their war. The existence of the Sharrow has been forgotten by all but the most dedicated historians. However, something is brewing.
Rumors spread about a dark power rising in the center of the world, while the War of Fire and Ice rages...

3. Try to be understandable with your spelling.
4. No godmodding! It's more annoying than using * * for actions.
5. No auto-hitting either. It's just not cool, ok?
6. Try to be active if possible.
7. Romance is okay, just follow the site rules.
8. If you have an issue with someone else that's playing, take it outside, don't start something in here.
9. Play your own character. Don't say someone else's character does whatever unless you have their and my permission to do so.

THE ELEMENTS
The elements each have their own specialities (there are other abilities beyond the speciality but you automatically get the speciality of your element), and have an opposing element.

Fire--offensive magic. Opposed: Water/Ice
Air--boosting magic. Opposed: Earth
Water/Ice--detrimental (reduced speed, etc.) magic. Opposed: Fire
Earth--defensive magic. Opposed: Air
Light--Healing. Opposed: Shadow
Shadow--Necromancy or Illusion. Opposed: Light
Steel--Skilled with weapons. Opposed: None
