At Akahei university, there are students that had formed an occult club to fulfill the greatest desire by seeking help from the beings of the underworld. But the beings of the underworld are not willing to bend to the will of the students and have sorted out a plan of themselves that involves revenge and justice. After an occult ceremony, instead of calling the devil to grant them their wishes, they summon demons or rather each summons a person they had wronged in demon form. Since they are the cause or the indirect cause of the death of these people, the students will be punished for all eternity unless they can prove themselves well enough to earn forgiveness. They will be expecting a life of eternal servitude, torture or of constant fleeing. In a life of servitude, the student will have to sacrifice the lives of the people who are closest to them or other feats that would make them miserable. In a life of torture, physical and mental abuse is to be expected. Otherwise they will be on a constant run, eventually overcome by paranoia and it might be the worst choice as the demons would be on a killing spree, killing all who the student comes in contact with. Each demon has a different view of revenge with some being milder than others. Will the students show regret and eventually win the forgiveness or even the affection of the demons?

Akihei university is located in a large Japanese city. The students all live in an apartment complex only two train stops from the university. Within five minutes walking distance is a convinience store and a cafe. Most of the current district is residential. The season is springtime.

The story starts shortly before the ceremony.
