Introduction
The First Minute of this video explains a lot, or at least thirty seconds of it. Video
However, to become a hunter, that is a test on its own. Hunters are expected to be the fastest, strongest, and smartest people around, able to handle over a hundred situations and come out on top. To be a Pro Hunter means to fight with power, and learn the secrets of Aura and how to master them. You see, this world is a dangerous place. Its full of monsters, and magic, and other things. Strange creatures with abnormal properties. Deadly assassins with hidden tricks. Oh, and a giant deadly storms that can shred a man to pieces.
The first thing you will have encountered is the Hunter's Exam. The first test. And an extremely dangerous test at that. YOu could die during it. People have died during it. Only one one hundreth of people who enter it in one year get to pass it max. That means that if one thousand people attend, only ten are expected to pass it maximum/average. It is this distinction that makes hunters who they are: A force to be reckoned with. To be a hunter, you have to do more then survive in these trials, these phases. You have to thrive in them.
Of course, those that become Hunters earn large amounts of money. They are treasure hunters, monster fighters, even skilled investigators. They are the best of the best. They delve into old and mystical ruins, take on opponents too powerful for anyone else to handle, and know skills from medical triage to cooking the best meals.
The RP will start with a basic guarantee you pass the Hunter's exam. The first few posts will just be people summarizing what happened during the exam. This is to help fortify our character's histories, giving them a start to be intertwined, and then allowing us to quickly move onto Nen training, forming our special abilities, figuring out what aura class we belong to, and so on. The reason I want us to get to and through this is because I will require everyone to list their Aura class and their special abilities from those, so I don't want people having to wait too long before they get to use them, but at the same time I cant just completely skip everything that happened before. It should be important to the story, so we will have to speed through it while fitting in enough to give us a good backstory. Then, once everyone can at least use their Hatsu (though we will grow it additionally over time), we can start focusing on the main story, setting whatever pace we find enjoyable. Nothing too slow, but nothing too fast. If you have any questions or unique character ideas you want to pitch, make sure you post in OOC in case someone else has the same idea. If you want to leave it as a surprise to the others then, PM me then with the secret stuff after you post in the OOC what you can, and I will let you know in a reply.
Make sense?
Anyways, I don't want to see people choosing the same abilities as others, and try to show some originality in character design and what not. Keep in mind, not every fight should be easy, in fact many of them should be difficult. Otherwise, what fun would they be?
Also, Character relations is something that will be fairly important to establish early on, so please post in the OOC reguarding what your character is going to be like to help people figure it out while you are actually creating him. I would like someone to create a best friend that my character made during the Hunter Exam (as when you read him, you will learn its quite impossible to have been his friend before the exam), and another to be his arch rival if possible.
As for character creations, any Charrie Sheet you want to use will work. If you wish to use the one I am using, its not overly complex like some others I created, but it still looks good:

I would really not like having two people reserve the same slot and me having to give bad news to one of them simply because one PMed and the other asked in OOC, blissfully unaware of each other. :3
Oh, and no recreates of canon characters. Be original. I wont accept canon copies, even if they have different names and faces.
