         By this time, Preston found Yorito and FLO in one of the third floor’s stores.

“Let’s go.”
“Done already?”
“I didn’t kill anyone yet. I thought of facing the Tested head-to-head, but I decided against it. He or she seemed intelligent since he or sh-, forget it. I’ll just assume it’s a guy, for simplicity’s sake. Anyways, he seemed intelligent since he didn’t fall for my trap; I doubt he’s friendly or innocent. Also, my body and mind seem messed up; I doubt I would be able to win in a fight, even with an M16. Also, I sensed another Tested that headed in the direction of the weapons shop; it didn’t seem to sense my presence, so that’s fortunate. It would be nice if those two Tested met each other to buy some time for us…”
“You’re careful, aren’t you?”

Preston ignored Yorito and turned his attention to FLO.

“You shouldn’t follow us any longer; I can’t guarantee your safety if you come with us. It’d be better for you to stay here with one of the other FLOs. However, I won’t stop you if you come with us; I did destroy your store, after all. I’ll do my best to protect you; that doesn’t mean I’ll die for you. I have many things to do back home, so I can’t die her-.”

Just then, Preston had a sharp pain in his head. He rubbed the temples of his head with his fingers.

“You alright man?”
“I’m fine. Now, let’s move.”

With that, Preston and Yorito headed for the exit on the second floor…

         Day 2

Yorito fumbled it a bit, but still caught it.

"O-of course. When I get some money... Thank you. Um, as for what happened... Well, I wanted to avenge Loret, but I'm not sure if I succeeded or not; it's hard for me to explain. Just ask my friend here when he wakes up."

Yorito then went over to Preston and awkwardly put the improvised hot-pack near his chest; really, he didn't know what a good location to put it would be, so he just put it there.

"O-oh yeah. Um, do you have any spare clothes or towels or something? I don't think it's good for him to be this wet..."

Yorito intentionally kept his eyes on Preston's motionless body while he was talking; it was hard for him to make eye contact with Her and Mr. Thorren. To be honest, Yorito wanted to ask Mr. Thorren what happened to him, but he sorta wanted to avoid talking unless he had to; he might unintentionally piss him off, which would be bad.
