Personality: Critical and methodical, Shimo prefers to stay back and watch from afar than fight. It's not that he is afraid of physical confrontation but he would rather analyze his foes before engaging. Shimo is often detached from the world as he acts like a man reaching the end of years. Although he isn't senile or does anything to suggest his age, but he is crotchety like an older man. He is often alone with his thoughts, mainly memories from his life before he performed the cryo-preservation jutsu upon himself. Whenever viewed upon he displays a melancholic countenance and is often in a pessimistic mood. He is an misanthropist and generally has a distrust of others. He believes others are motivated by pure self-interest making him question other people's actions and agendas. This is probably because of his upbringing but still he uses it justify his means in the Akatsuki, and he will be willing to prove others are just as cold-hearted as he.
History: Not much is known about Shimo, or more accurately, there are not many who remember him. Thanks to a Forbidden Jutsu amongst the Yuki clan, Shimo has lived well beyond his years. He is a veteran of the Fourth Shinobi World War, and often recounts the horrors of war. Yet this doesn't bother him, much of his life was filled with strife. He grew up living under fear of his family being caught by Mist Shinobi, since the Yuki Clan were deemed monsters and through prejudice they were nearly wiped out. Shimo went into the Hidden Mist's Academy, partly so he could better hide his self amongst the enemy, but mainly to have the skills to protect his family against the Shinobi. Shimo advanced very quickly becoming a Jounin by the age of 15. Soon Mist Shinobi would discover his secret and hunt him down along with his family, Shimo would escape but as for his family, it is unknown. Not much else could be said about his past, he lived in seclusion as he drifted into obscurity, he would be considered dead by Mist accounts. Shimo would however resurface again at the age of 25, he participated in the Fourth Shinobi World War, but his appearance was changed with age and he took a different name. After the war his past hits another blank as he disappeared once again into seclusion.
