The time of Heroes and Villains

Twenty have passed and America, as well as many of it's ally countries, has changed drastically over the years. Much of the freedom American veterans have fought for has become only a distant memory to the men and woman who were alive before The Takeover

The Country has become divided, and has slowly shifted from a Democracy to a Dictatorship. Citizens no longer have a say in who resides in office and have been forced into silence. Capitol punishment has become the norm, and the police are no longer the men and women who you turn to for safety. One man

The World has changed and civilians has little hope left to even try changing it back. They've given up and resigned themselves to the fate of a miserable existence.

Besides, who could even stand a chance against such Villains?

S O L U T I O N:

Scientists and a few turncoat Government officials have been scrounging for solutions almost twenty years now. It wasn't until one very young lab attendant by the name of Luther ,was able to offer up an answer that seemed so ridiculous it could actually work.

"We need Heroes."

He had declared, as if that seemed to be the simplest of answers. For months the scientists continued their arguing and debating on how to fix the problem, but without anyone else offering answers, they decided to give it a try. Thus, project Valiant was created.

After many failed experiments and countless days without sleep, they had managed to create a serum which when injected into humans and animals alike, would give a variety of "super" powers.

The scientists; only the best of the best of course, began to look for Valiant individuals with good hearts to take the serum . Police officers who stayed true to their original purpose; "protect and serve" became the first human subjects and were usually successes. On the other hand, a failed experiment involving a teen test subject brought new information for the scientists. While the serum was created for the use of good, it could just as easily be used for evil. The teen was filled with rage, and his powers mirrored that. When he killed his parents upon returning home and engaging in an argument with them, due to his lack of control, the scientists were forced to exterminate the youngest test subject. They decided from then on only to take willing subjects above the age of eighteen, finding teenagers and children having not fully grown to be more of a risk than their adult counter parts.

Within months, heroes were becoming less of a secret and more of a threat. It wasn't long before the Government and the current Dictator became aware of their old colleagues experiments and realized the danger they were in. Deciding to fight fire with fire and armed with enough money, a few officials managed to bribe some of the more gullible scientists into revealing the recipe used for the serum.

Now both Heroes and Villains roam through the streets in a constant battle. One side fighting for change and equality; the other fighting for power.
