“Oi! Get on ahead!” I am roughly shoved into a line. I am surrounded by sweaty, buff guards who are prepared to take out my life if I even look at them in any suspicious manor. A guard spits on my shoes and smirks as I pass by him. It takes everything in me not to attack him. Ahead of me are four other inmates, all dressed in the same orange jumpsuit that I have been gifted with.
In the front there is a guy who looks like it took him four hours to get his hair to be the perfect style and color. I scoff to myself. He seemed so proud of himself. Confident. My eyes land on the next trouble maker. A slim girl with dark blue and black hair, some sort of new style, I guessed. She looked as though she were about to collapse from the crowd that surrounded her. The next is another loser looking type. His eyes keep darting in different directions, taking in everything around him but with a plastered scowl on his face. It seemed as if he despised the sight of people. I give a light chuckle but my throat catches it before I can let it out. The red head. The last one in line. She looks so familiar. I think I had seen her once before. Was she famous? What was her name again? I shrug it off by the time I come face to face with the guards who are about to check us before we go into this prison. I sighed. Why did I have to steal my mom’s car? I didn’t deserve this. It was a one time thing.
A loud crash echoed behind me. I looked just in time to see a giant piece of hail smash a telephone booth. My eyes widen as I realize that there is nowhere for me to run.
Out of nowhere a giant lightning bolt strikes ahead of me, hitting the four in the line and the guards standing next to them.
I shield my face, but I still got a bit of damage to my arm from debris. They are all laying on the ground. Still as death. But the famous girl rises slowly. Getting to her feet, as do the others as they realize their chance for escape was this moment. They speed off down the alley, the guards coming to. Slowly they pick themselves up and nod towards one another as they take off to find the runaways. One staying behind to call for backup to take care of the rest of us.
This was getting interesting.
