Amariss has long been a kingdom of secrets and this time is no exception. Queen Tanya has kept her secrets pent up for too long, the alliances and pacts between the bordering kingdoms and estates tangled in a web of lies. You are an undercover assassin, sent to find out these secrets. Each one of you works for a different duke, duchess, or royal family member. Be careful; to be caught would be a fate worse than death. There is no room for mistakes; you cannot be caught by the real lords and ladies, nor can you be uncovered by another assassin. Each one of you has been sent to a masquerade, to meet the people you are assigned to spy on and to collect information. Further your relationship with this person through other events and hope that they may divulge more of their secrets with you. Acknowledge everyone, speak of nothing, and trust no one. You have entered the dark side of politics, this deadly game of chess; kill or be killed.

ღ Ranks ღ

ღ Lord/Ladies: these are the true upper class people. They are the players behind the game of chess. They know what they want and will take steps to get it. They have the money and status to do so, but their image must remain untainted. There must be a reason behind their every move (ex// kill this person because they were in the way of that lord/lady moving up in status, marrying another person to gain wealth or secrets in the kingdom, infiltrating to find info to gain something possessed by another person, etc.)
ღ Assassins/Mercenaries: people hired to kill. They are paid based on how well they do their jobs and are expendable at anytime, both as employees as well as their life. Not all need to have a dark past. They all work for separate lord/ladies/dukes/duchesses, each with a mission given by their employer.
ღ Queen Tanya (me.. ^^” ): the reigning monarch; she is the defining line between chaos and peace in the kingdom. Her secrets are hers alone and with her she carries much valuable information for wealth, status, and magic/fantasy.
ღ Servants (up to 4): they can be good or bad, helpful or hindering. They are the quiet observers in the background, who might do anything for a few scraps of bread, or be foolishly loyal to the very end. They are often the runners, the secret bearers who transfer messages.
