Introduction
Strangely absent from the chaos was Ivy Elden, a generally well-liked second year student. In fact, almost no one has seen her since the very beginning of the attack, and that includes her team. After the smoke had cleared and Beacon had recovered enough for an investigation, it became very clear that there was a great deal of evidence stacked against Ivy: explosives had been used to breech several of the buildings, something which she had extensive knowledge of. Then there was the box of extra supplies hidden somewhat haphazardly among her things. What was most damning, however, was the testimony made by two separate teams who swore that they saw Ivy fiddling with explosives that later failed to detonate and, separately, luring Grim to the school. After her roommates were ruled out, it was only a matter of days before Ivy was named a wanted woman.
For some that had known her, something about the situation seemed too convenient, too obvious. Besides, what reason would she have to put people she cared about in danger? Now, a few of her friends are setting out to find both Ivy and the truth. However, these young hunters may have bitten off more than they can chew…
Also, a special thanks to DragonDunc, who was of great help in creating this.

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 4 authors
Violet glanced over her shoulder at her companions before she ducked through a doorway into a more intact house. There was a great deal left inside, but no signs of injury. Hopefully that whoever lived there got away safely. She seated herself at a desk and began searching through the drawers, though deep down she didn't really believe that she'd find any clues.

Instinctively griping Charon's Rosario, as if to swing and lacerate an invisible foe, Death waits for the uncontrolled playback of her past to finally end before resuming the search. "Nothing will make me their victim ever again. Ever." she states firmly. After she regained her center, which took a few minutes, Death rapidly searched the area behind the house. 'Looks like they evacuating days before the grim arrived. Then again I could be reading the trail wrong and grim killed them before they reached any safe haven. Pulling out her scroll, a totally blacked number with her sister's favorite symbol on, she heard connect with Violet's and Donnchad's. "Found a trail heading away from the house. Think the owners might have began leaving before the grim came. But I am not a hundred percent on my interpretation though."
As Violet entered one of the abandoned houses, Death turned to Donnchad and told him she was going round the other side to investigate. He started as if he were about to tell her to be careful splitting the team up, but thought better of it, and just nodded instead. “We’ll cover more ground this way.” He said to himself as he paced back toward the entrance to look for trails. If people had evacuated, they may have left through here.
That was when He received a phonecall informing him that there was some sort of trail leading away from behind the house. He set off immediately, striding to the area Death was checking.
Her fingers flexed around the grip of her weapon. "So, I guess we follow them." She opened up her scoll again and checked through a map that she had downloaded. "There is a town that way. It's a good a bet as any, right?" She glanced between her companions. "Any objections…?"

As they got further away from the center of the town, His hand rose back up to the hilt of his blade yet again, but only until walking with his right arm stretched across to his left shoulder got straining, and he suddenly realized that he'd put the belt holding his weapon on the wrong way around again. He fumbled furiously as he walked, eventually lifting it off and putting it on correctly so that the hilt was above his right shoulder.
He continued the journey with his hand clutching the hilt and staring at the ground in embarrassment.

“OK, so I guess we’re running there now.” He wasn’t about to argue. If the other town was nearby enough to keep up such a pace, then getting there faster would mean less chance of an unwelcome encounter.
Although he didn’t run ahead of Violet, instead waiting for her response. He preferred to stay at the back of the team - it was the best position for him to use his semblance if they were caught by surprise.

"Oh no." He said, looking up to see Death running straight into a fray. "Oh you've got to be-"
Donnchad broke into a sprint. He'd almost run out of breath by the time he caught up, His weapon's scabbard clicking open. In one wide movement he swung his sword, Neasclaw, from its sheath, over his back, underarm, the blade just scraping the ground, and pressed the switch so that when it swept up it extended into its chain form, an ascending strike aimed at whatever target he could hit best from behind Death. He then grabbed the pommel by his left and and slid into a wrath-guard stance.

He decided on his course of action, and edged nearer to Violet. From here he could help her deal more damage to the enemy while having a good viewpoint so he could assist Death with occasional shields.
((Sorry for the poor quality on the end there; I’m exhausted.))

It was now that he heard Death shouting for them both to get out of the way. He looked up at his teammate, now basically a plummeting tornado of destruction. He turned to Violet. “We should probably do what she said.” He turned sideways and ran as far away as he could get while keeping his attention on the advancing grimm.

Free falling for several seconds, charging up whatever aura she could muster, she burst into her rose petal stream and flowed towards her companions. Ignoring the carnage, disintegrating Grim and flaming debris, she memorized the fleet of wholeness that filled her. Right up till she unceremoniously crashed just short of Violet's vine barrier. Rolling and grunting as more pain dog piled atop those accrued during the fight, Death's weapon returned to it's travel size. Once she stopped, Death closed her gunmetal eyes and mumbled, "Sent you more company sis."

Crouching slightly, he looked over at her. She'd seemed to have muttered something before closing her eyes, but from the looks of it she didn't seem in any state to be going anywhere.
"Death? Are you still awake?"
While he waited for a response, or lack of one, Donnchad turned to Violet and asked "What now?"
Hearing Donnchad speak behind her, she turned to face him. “I, uh,” She knelt next to Death and gave her a quick look over. She bit her lip. “I have bandages, I think. Other than that…” She retrieved her scroll from her jacket pocket. The digital map was still open. “It doesn’t look like the town’s far off, so if we had to, we could probably carry her.” She took a long, shallow breath then seated herself more comfortably on the ground. She patted the ground next to her by way of an invitation.

"I need to get one of those weapons that you can drink coffee out of." he remarked, brushing a little dust off his clothes as he sat more upright. His gaze was still flitting across the treeline despite the grimm having been taken care of.
Some help I was back there, he thought as he regarded the undergrowth, which seemed docile enough for the time being. They’d need a few minutes to catch their breath - while he was waiting, he took Neasclaw back from the ground where he had just dropped it, casually cleaning the little bits of mud off on the grass. The grimm blood had dissipated by now.
