The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 1 authors

Adelaide sat on the beach, sticking her toes in the ocean, her ink pen in hand. It had been a long day. The part of beach that she was sitting on was relatively secluded, and reserved for the higher class people of California; athletes, actors, actresses, business owners, models, famous authors... There usually wasn't many people in the area, since the only people that had access to area were usually pretty busy. Occasionally she'd make conversation with an actor, talk to an athlete, try to surf or understand how the economy worked with the other beach inhabitants, but what she preferred was the solitude that the beach provided.
Although Adelaide was friendly, she enjoyed being left alone to her thoughts. It gave her time to write and think and reflect on her life. She occasionally wished for the company of another, but was perfectly happy with herself for the most part. She'd never really dated, being hated throughout high school, then throw in a mental facility and released to deal with the sudden fame that came with her sudden success which didn't give her much time to do anything with men.
It wasn't that she wasn't open to the idea of a boyfriend, it just seemed unlikely to work out at the rate of which her life was progressing.
Not only did she not have a boyfriend, but she also lacked any solid friends that were permanent in her life. Sure, she had Angie, Michael and Jason, but they were not constant in any way, shape or form. She'd met lots of nice people on the beach, but none of them had interested her enough to go out of her way to talk to again and vice versa. While people weren't exactly rude to Adelaide, they weren't exactly sweet.
She glanced around the beach and recognized the five others with her. There was a Victoria's Secret model who she had seen but not talked to at a Children's Hospital Benefit Dinner, an L.A Kings player who she adored, a news anchor who had changed the way the media ran, a man who she'd read about in a magazine, who was simply an amazing businessman and a wonderful surfer boy.
