Introduction
You see, the throne had always been betrothed to the man the previous king thought the most suitable. It did not matter whether he was from Royalty or some poor village; as long as he was human and was capable of using his six senses (the sixth being magic, naturally), he could be the next king. The Royal family had been taught to be fair and just, so the problem of choosing the next ruler was simple and brief. The previous king would test his sons before his sixtieth birthday, and if one of them had a satisfying result, he would be the next king. If, however, none of the previous king's son had qualified, or he had no sons at all, he may chose a man through a series of contests and tests.
This time, though, the previous king passed away before he turned sixty, owing to a pack of beautiful water nymphs and a giant squid. He had not written any tests nor contests in which the future king should pass, and to make it even more troublesome, he had only a daughter. This daughter, Princess Selene, was a fair maiden with a remarkably sharp tongue and an even sharper mind. She wished to rule Solum Sacra alone, but of course the council refused. Until she turned sixteen and marry a man (who would be the king of her land), she was nothing more than a doll with a crown on her head. In the mean time, the council shall rule Solum Sacra with their own rules.
Creatures were hunted for entertainment purposes, trees cut to make more facilities for the council, and the people's gold were used to buy expensive furnitures from faraway lands. 'It is for the best, dear princess,' they always said, when Princess Selene told them her complaints. Solum Sacra simply could not continue to live like this. Everybody were miserable, and the princess could not bear to see her homeland in that state. She decided to plan a rebellion.
She talked to a handful of knights, magicians, elemental controllers, and vampires. She did not bother with werewolves, as they were too hard to control. Fairies, mermaids, naiads, and nature spirits were not involved as well, because the princess knew they would stay away from humans as far as possible at times like this. No matter. She had all the people that she needed.
The annual Royal Ball would be presented soon, and that would be when they would strike. The vampires were welcome to devour any member of the council, and the knights and magicians to avenge their starving family, but the Head Advisor was the princess'. Tonight, she would get her throne back.
Rules
- Character Sheet: Fill only your character's description and equipment. Leave the history and personality part blank. We will find out more about your character later. Also, don't forget to state what race is your character in his/her synopsis (the Princess, knights, magicians, elemental controllers, Head Advisor, one of the councils, or vampires).
- Use past tense and third person perspective, please.
- Don't God-mode, kill someone else's character without permission.
- Mary-sues and Gary-stues are forbidden. Seriously, if you want to be half vampire half magician half demigod (which is half human half god and do not even belong in this story anyway), you should leave.
- Two paragraphs per post, all right? And watch your writing (no "i jumped 2 da lake n swim", please)
- Moderate swearing is allowed, but please, no sex. Just no, people. It's kind of disturbing.
- Read what others had posted and respond when needed, please.
- I may not be as active because I may be busy. If someone else would want to be the GM when I'm gone, please, don't hesitate to ask.
- Oh, and my native language is not English, so pardon me if there's any grammar mistake.
- Have fun :]
